Great Picture but Glitchy Interface

It's the first TV I've bought that I didn't feel the need to tweak the picture settings right after firing it up. Lots of streaming options to start and the ability to download more, which I did for YouTube TV. My only issues so far is related to switching from streaming to Direct TV and vice versa. All of a sudden, after about a month, one day it would not switch to our streaming services from Direct TV. It would keep defaulting back to DTV. Finally had to pull the hdmi cable to get it to switch. A week or two later, if you shut down the TV after streaming, then fire it up the next day, there's no DTV icon so no way to switch back to DTV. Tried to shut it down and try different power on sequences to no avail. Finally, with the DTV box on, kept trying channel changes or bringing up the guide and eventually one of those operations triggered the TV to recognize the DTV box. Also, haven't found a way to rearrange the streaming icons to put the services we use first, which I could do with an older 7 series Samsung 4K TV. Doesn't appear you can arrange icons the way you want. Picture quality is awesome; software interface is glitchy, but hoping for an update to fix things.

I am sorry that you are experiencing glitches.
Please check that your TV is running the latest firmware.
Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit.
You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences.
Select Settings- Support- Software Update, then select Auto Update.
you can customize the Smart Hub by removing apps from or adding apps to the home screen. You can also rearrange apps to your liking.
Simply select an app, press, and hold the Enter key. You’ll see a popup menu with options to move and remove it.

The picture quality is very good and the price/value is impressive. The UI is really easy to navigate, and the built in apps make it easy to stream your favorite services. There are a few services missing, that I wish were available, but overall very happy with the purchase thus far.

This is the second one I have bought, purchased a 60” earlier this year for my living room and liked it so much I purchased this one for our bedroom. Sound is good form factory speakers, obviously not as good as the sound on my surround sound in the living room but works fine upstairs.

Did a little research and came up with this Samsung model smart tv. The reviews were very good. This TV fit the bill. Excellent color and clarity. It was priced @ $379.99. Well worth the $$$.

I could not set up the SmartTv functions using the WiFi. Need to connect "wired" via the ethernet cable, then when all set up, remove the cable and wireless works!

With the great programming streaming I decided to buy a smart tv. The Samsung is a fabulous television. Picture is extraordinary and even the sound not bad. The remote Is easy to use. I highly recommend This tv and the price was attractive as well
