This tv will not work it you plan on putting it in a bright room. A dark room is the only place where you'd be satisfied with it. The UI is also another ding. It can be slow to respond at times. Up to 10 second delay from when you push the button to an action being made. This is unacceptable. The build quality is pretty good. And the remote is easy to use once you know how to use it. But overall, decent tv. But don't expect too much.

I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the brightness and the UI of your TU8000TV.
You can try Dynamic Picture Mode, or manually adjust the Brightness settings to your liking.
Go to Home> Settings> Picture> Expert Settings> Brightness
We also recommend you check if Power Saving Mode has been enabled.
Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.
Please try Device Care to optimize your smart TV performance.
Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care.
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.
