UHD Dimming mode helps a lot to get adjusted to the available lighting in the room and will provide better viewing experience.
2.1 sound output is one more added advantage for this TV with 20W speaker and 20W woofer output giving a total of 40W output for rich sound experience.
Also the best part of the TV is its Tizen OS for smart features allowing multiple user friendly applications such as Netflix,Amazon prime video,Hulu,HBO Now etc. to stream online content seamlessly.

Absolutely stunning image. Upgraded from an old LCD 1080P screen and the difference is night and day. The 4K up-scaling works amazingly on both TV and gaming. Gaming is where this TV shines. The up-scaling works wonders on gaming and brings out the true power of current game systems. With the HDR on the TV, the depth and range of colors is wonderful. The TV also has a gaming mode for gaming systems which helps improve the quality of the gaming experience.
The Smart Hub is a little crowded up can be cleaned up if you want to. Lots of options readily available to apps.
The remote isn't that great. It has too few buttons for how much it requires you to use it. I'd recommend getting a good universal remote for it to get the most out of the TV.
Overall if you're looking to upgrade to 4K, this is going to be a solid choice. Its not an OLED or QLED but you're also not spending that amount. Great entry level 4K TV. The HDR makes it worth it!

Bought this after the price went down from earlier in 2017. It was between this and a Sony. Picture on Samsung is just as good in my opinion. I wanted the 4K & HDR for my new Xbox One X Scorpio Limited Edition coming in November. So far everything looks wonderful on this TV even though the input is 1080p. Once my Xbox One X gets here I will load up a 4K movie. Setup was easy too.

Like the thin edges. Nice Picture..lots of settings for picture. easy setup. Good price. Small remote not the huge one like older models. Took a minute to figure out volume & channel buttons. I also like the legs you can fit sound bar under tv for a clean look (cables) I like this size not small not to big. I have other brands but always come back to Samsung.

First off Incredible TV and Picture and price. The fact that I only have one remote now is incredible.
Now the nit's:
I still periodically have to use the Apple TV and Verizon Fios remote to periodically press the menu button or wake it up. Not sure yet exactly if this is solvable with my one remote.
The box that takes in all the HDMI cables, they should make a mountable spot for it on the TV. If you ran all your wires through the wall their really isn't a great place for this to hide, and their are no ports on the actual TV to by-pass this box. The cord from the box to the TV isn't long enough to run through the wall and the plug itself is too wide to make it through most in wall box openings. So I just have wires bundled and draped on the wall mount with the box hanging from it.
Samsung really needs to address their sound bars attaching to their TV's, If I'm purchasing within the same brand it should be a built in no brainer that these two devices can be screwed in together without third part mounting kits, actually looking online I see they do make one but its $50 more, and for some reason I can't seem to get the sound bar to automatically turn on with TV even though I have it IR wired.

Purchased to replace a 7 year old plasma in my bedroom. I was originally thinking of an entry level set, but decided to move up given the better picture, good reviews and it was on sale for early Black Friday.
The picture is very good right out of the box, though it was a bit bright in standard mode. I typically set my picture to movie mode, but I found that to be too dark on this set and settled for the natural mode and also reduced the backlight to 5. In general, I typically turn off things that may add noise to the picture such as eco mode, digital clean view, auto motion plus and pretty much left everything else as is. I am very pleased with the picture, though I will note that since it's in the bedroom, I only watch it at night. I did look at the picture during daytime, and there was some glare, though not as bad as I've seen on other TVs.
Setup of the TV was fairly straight forward. I have a slightly older Samsung TV, so I felt right at home with the sparse remote. I have two streaming boxes and it recognized my Google Nexus Player, but did not recognize my Apple TV (4th gen), which was a bit surprising. My first time with the Tizen OS on a smart TV, but apps worked very well, no issues with streaming from Amazon, Hulu nor HBO Go. One app that I use on my other Samsung TV, Viki Premiere, was not available on Tizen, which was a bit disappointing. I am just using the TV speakers and they have good sound.
Bottom line, great middle range TV. It's a bit pricey for a middle range set, so glad it was on sale this week. I've also seen other reviews that have stated that this set is not as good as last year's KS8000, which I imagine would be true since the KS8000 was part of the SUHD sets, which are more comparable to the Q series this year. I didn't actually look a Q series (I believe there's a 49" Q6), since I wouldn't be able to justify the higher expenditure. At the sale price, this was a good value for the money.

Great picture and easy to set up if you follow the instructions.
Took about 20 minutes from box to watching TV.
The 8000 series is a little more in price but worth it if you catch it on sale for around $700 or less...
No negatives to comment on.

Love this TV. The remote is bluetooth, no need to point the remote at the TV. It also programs itself to whatever you hook up to the HDMI connections. It even controls my fire TV with the Samsung remote. The picture is great. I was tore at a same price Sony but went with this TV, no regrets. The Sony may have a slightly better picture but the styling is what really blow me away. The Samsung setup and interface is fast and easy. One word of caution just because the TV box say's it's HDR it doesn't make it so. Do your research. Samsung HDR starts at the 8000 series, Sony 800 series and LG I think 7700. Not all HDR is the same across the board. I returned my first Samsung because the box said HDR but it wasn't. It was a 6300 series, so be careful if HDR is important to you.

My TV was a Sony HDTV, 9 years old. I decided it was time to upgrade. I’m not really into all the new tech stuff especially smart TV’s. This has to be one of the best purchases I’ve made. Between the TV and soundbar it was an investment. But, one I am very happy I made. The picture quality is unbelieveable! I feel like whatever is on TV is right in my living room with me. Its so clear. It took a little bit to get all the settings to my preferences but now that they are there I’m happy. Smart TV’s are thin so I’m really glad I went with the salesman’s suggstion for the soundbar. It makes a huge difference. Overall very pleased with this product, quality, and price.

This TV is excellent. The only reason I give four stars and not five is the smart tv feature take some adjusting and is not the smoothest. As an example, Vizio TVs make changing HDMI ports easy and smooth. This TV doesn’t have quite that good a source interface, and if you have an Apple TV, as another example, you’ll need to adjust some settings so your Samsung remote isn’t always turning on your Apple TV. Aside fom that, the smart TV features aren’t bad, but I have little use for them with my Apple TV, so not much of an opinion there.
All that said, the negatives end there. The picture is crystal clear. There isn’t much 4K and/or HDR content out there (yet), but the amount is growing all the time and this TV displays it very well. But even just 1080HD looks great. I am founding myself wanting to replay games such as Mass Effect 2 on this as well to see how they look. Overall, decent, if imperfect interface, excellent picture and price, and a TV well worth buying.

Honestly I was hesitant about this tv due to the price and simply because I felt all tv's are the same. Thank God I bought it because #1 the picture quality is amazing. #2 I love how everythings consistent in picture details #3 Believe it or not the remotes what sealed the deal. Its just sleek and cool to use.. #4 This Great looking tv makes our home and room look much more expensive #5 Whoever comes over loves it.
Plus, the setup was a breeze. So I don't have anything bad to say.. how about this: Once you buy this, you'll feel like people expect better gifts.

Love this TV.
Perfect for gaming and excellent for movies!
The reason for 4 stars is for the Samsung One Connect box. I HATE that there is not even 1 HDMI port on the back of the TV. I have my TV mounted above the fireplace and then have run HDMI over Ethernet kits to the TV location from another room. Well, this One Connect Box becomes a HUGE inconvenience in scenarios like this!
Many of us use the TV merely as a display for movies/games etc. processing audio separately to my Martin Logan speakers.
The other reason this box can be such a problem is that if you somehow lose it, you are totally up a creek until you replace it with another one.
Synopsis: The TV is amazing. Samsung needs to up the game to provide options for NON soundbar users.

I wanted to upgrade from my LED set which was 46". The 49 inch fit right in the cabinet where the other was housed. The smart tv functions are a huge plus. Only issue I have been having is sometimes the cable box turns off for no reason. I can't figure out why. The other set never had that issue. On top of my cabinet I put the other set so I can watch multiple football games at once.....You know like hanging at a bar but since both are Samsung, you have to watch so they both don't always turn on.

TV is as advertised. Elegant design, excellent picture. Set up was easy and the One Connect cable made connections a breeze. I wall mounted the TV on the wall. Be sure to check your connection points (length) for the one connect cable. The only negative for me is the remote. Although certainly functional, it is less user friendly than earlier versions. The voice recognition feature is a little challenging as well. Otherwise, a great TV at the price point.

I was doing some serious research on TVs before I purchased this one. I am a avid gamer and was looking for a good tv with a great refresh rate. This tv is amazing at that. I picked it up and hooked up my ps4 to it and the quality is amazing. The 4K IS AWESOME setting it up couldn’t be easier given how many features this tv has. If you need a living room or bedroom tv, pound for pound in the 50 inch tv size this is the champ
