Don't buy this, even on sale
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It is such a headache. The "smart" tv OS is horrible. Just Google this TV + "Samsung account". You will find lots... LOTS of pages (even on their own site) regarding issues with logging into the account on their own TV. Now, if you have no need to use their app shop to download apps, which may very well be the case for most consumers, then fine, the TV looks great. However, if you do not want to rely on a third party device, like Apple TV, ChromeCast, or a gaming console to use things like Netflix, Hulu, or Google Play... Then run far away from this TV. Or anything Samsung for that matter.

I finally realized I needed to get out of the lower cost range if I wanted good picture quality. The sales staff convinced me that I needed to spend more if I wanted a clear picture. He showed me the Samsung and I was sold. I spent more, but am thrilled with the quality. It’s great and I love it!

It was very nice, but when I returned to Bestbuy to inquire about a wall mount, a sales person showed me the difference in picture quality of the 8000 series. I returned the 7000 series TV and purchased a 49" 8000 series for less than $200 more. It was worth every penny .. beautiful TV.

This TV has awesome image quality and inky blacks. It was a definite upgrade from the MU6300 that it replaced. I use it mostly for HDR gaming on a PS4 Pro. We have the 65-inch version of the MU8000 set in our living room. I think the black levels are better on this 49 inch version.
