    Not user friendly AT ALL

I bought the 7000 first, which had horrible blacks & washed out colors. Was talked in the 8000, which was twice the price, but looked good on display (at the store). When I set it up, I couldn't get my surround to work even after five different people probably put in 20 hours to fix. Tried trouble shooting with the salesperson I bought it from. No luck. He gave me the number to the Geek Squad and, even though I bought a five year extended warranty for $250, they said I would have to pay $129 -- in advance -- to have someone come out and look at it. Ahhhhh, excuse me, did I not just pay $250 for a TV that doesn't work? Don't buy the extended warranty, because they won't come anyway, unless you want to fork out some more money. Another issue with this TV is, even though the actual TV speaker works, there's no button on the remote to turn the volume up or down. You have to "speak" into it. Well, if it doesn't recognize your voice or if that function would malfunction, you're stuck with a blaring or whispering volume, or somewhere in between. Do not buy this TV. If you do, make sure you have plenty of aspirin on hand

JUNK! ~6 month Old DEAD TV!

BEWARE! My roughly 6 month old TV is no longer working!. I bought Samsung because I "thought" it was quality...more like quality JUNK. Screen wont turn on with a blinking stand-by light. Have already called Samsung 3 times (~1 hour on the phone), had them send a part (that I told them wasn't the issue) and now a service technician needs to visit my house. FOR A BRAND NEW TV!. I have been without my TV for over 3 weeks now because of this garbage quality. My other (non-Samsung) 8-year old TVs are still working better than this faulty device. Have seen many people with similar issues online AFTER the warranty expires. BEWARE WHEN BUYING. MAY BE STUCK WITH AN EXPENSIVE BLACK MIRROR.

    Warning do not buy

I bought this TV less than two months. I just recently moved into a new apartment. Packaged the TV back up in it's original boxing. When I removed the TV I did so on a soft surface. Put the legs on and picked it up to place it on it's stand. Somehow from simply picking it up, the screen cracked. It's that poorly made. And of course Samsung wants to charge me more than I paid for the set, just to fix it. Bought it less than two months ago, and I'm not out $800. I'll never buy anything Samsung again. This is unbelievable

    Dead pixels

Brand new with dead pixels out of the box This was an exchange for a 7000 series that also had dead pixels out of the box. I’m not a discerning user and understand the nature of lcd panels. But this is absurd.
