Customer Ratings & Reviews

This is possibly the best monitor I’ve ever used. The refresh rate on FPS games are insanely crisp. No lag at all. The OLED is super clear. Definitely have an advantage in online gaming now. Don’t think I would switch unless it’s the same monitor, just bigger. The Picture in Picture has a bunch of options. You can play 2 different consoles at the same time if you wanted or watch tv and play. Just wish there was more than one hdmi port and a controller for the monitor. Other than that, I’m super happy and impressed with this Samsung.

This is, without a doubt, the best monitor I’ve ever seen or used in my life. The Samsung 49” Odyssey OLED G9 (G93SD) is absolutely perfect – the image quality, the ultra-wide display, the 240Hz refresh rate, the stunning OLED clarity… it’s simply mind-blowing! I highly recommend it to anyone who has the privilege of experiencing it. Whether you’re a gamer, content creator, or professional – this monitor will transform the way you work and play. And a special thank you to Best Buy for extending my credit limit and making the financing possible. This was the best purchase I’ve ever made, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity. If you’re thinking about it – go for it. You won’t regret it. This monitor is perfect and fantastic in every way!

The Odyssey G9 G93SD is easily the best gaming monitor I’ve ever owned. I was a little hesitant about going with a 49-inch ultrawide at first because I wasn’t sure if I would actually like the size, but after using it for a while, I honestly don’t think I could go back to a normal 27-inch or 32-inch monitor. The 5120x1440 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate make everything look incredibly smooth and sharp, while the 32:9 aspect ratio gives games an amazing amount of screen real estate. The curved display also makes the monitor feel much more immersive than I expected, especially in games where you can actually take advantage of the wider field of view. I’m running the G9 with an RX 9070 XT and a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and the combination has been fantastic. The 9070 XT has plenty of power to push the G9 at 5120x1440, and the 5800X3D has been a great pairing for keeping frame rates high in CPU-heavy games. I was worried that the resolution would be too demanding, but with the right settings, I’ve been able to get a really smooth experience. Games like racing games, shooters, RPGs, and open-world games are where this monitor really shines. It feels like you’re actually sitting inside the game instead of just looking at it through a regular monitor. The 240Hz refresh rate is probably one of my favorite parts of the monitor. Once you get used to playing at high refresh rates, going back to 60Hz feels almost impossible, and 240Hz on a screen this large is crazy smooth. Fast movements in games look much cleaner, and mouse movement feels extremely responsive. The OLED panel is another huge upgrade, especially in darker games. The blacks are actually black, the contrast is excellent, and colors look much more vibrant than what I was used to on my previous monitor. HDR also makes certain games look absolutely incredible, particularly games with lots of dark environments, bright lights, or explosions. Overall, the G93SD has completely changed what I expect from a gaming monitor. It’s definitely not a cheap or small monitor, and you need a powerful PC to get the most out of it, but with an RX 9070 XT and Ryzen 7 5800X3D, I think it’s an incredible combination. The size, OLED picture quality, 5120x1440 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and ultrawide immersion make it feel like a massive upgrade rather than just buying another monitor. After using it as my main gaming display, I genuinely have a hard time recommending a traditional monitor over it if someone has the desk space and hardware to support it. For me, this is easily the best gaming monitor I’ve ever had.

This monitor is absolutely perfect. Ever since I got it, my daily routine has completely changed for the better. I can work much faster and more efficiently, and the image quality is outstanding in every situation. Whether I’m working or gaming, everything looks incredibly sharp, smooth, and immersive. Games look amazing, and productivity tasks feel much more fluid. It’s the perfect monitor for both gaming and work, and I highly recommend it.

After spending a good amount of time with the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9, I can honestly say this has been one of my favorite tech purchases in years. I was looking for a monitor that could handle gaming, productivity, and content creation without compromise, and this has exceeded my expectations. The OLED panel is the real star of the show. Colors are incredibly vibrant, blacks are truly black, and HDR content looks fantastic. Games feel much more immersive thanks to the 49-inch ultrawide display, and the 240Hz refresh rate combined with the incredibly fast response time makes everything feel smooth and responsive. Outside of gaming, this monitor has made multitasking much easier. It's like having two monitors without a bezel in the middle. I regularly keep multiple windows open side by side, and the extra screen space has been a huge productivity boost. The anti-glare coating is another feature I didn't think I'd appreciate as much as I do. Even during the day with lights on, reflections are kept to a minimum, making the display comfortable to use for long periods. No monitor is perfect, and this one definitely requires a decent amount of desk space, but that's expected for a display this large. Once it's set up, though, it's hard to imagine going back to a traditional monitor. If you're serious about gaming, content creation, or simply want one of the best ultrawide experiences available, I think this monitor is well worth considering. It's an investment, but it's one that has genuinely improved my everyday setup.

I got this monitor during a Memorial Day sale for about 50% off, and let me tell you… At that price, this monitor is a steal. I use this monitor for Gaming. I recently played Outer Wilds after getting this monitor, and the level of immersion with the deep blacks and bright lights juxtaposed really made the experience memorable. You really can’t beat the color and lighting on an OLED panel. Pros: - Color reproduction: phenomenal. I grew up with CRT’s, the (former) Gold Standard for deep colors. This OLED panel really brings back that feeling of seeing games like Majora’s Mask and Donkey Kong 64 and their vivid, bold color schemes. - Response time: instant. 0.03ms response time is faster than my little peanut brain can process, and it shows when it comes to competitive shooters, or high-motion sequences in games like Sonic, Forza, etc. - Brightness: Blinding. I won’t spoil any details of Outer Wilds, but there’s some scenes where you will get absolutely flash banged by the brightness. I’m not sure what the nits value is but it’s gotta be pretty high. This monitor stands out even in a sunlit space. -Resolution: 5120x1440p is the Goldilocks zone for someone like me who likes detail but greatly values performance. Personally, I don’t think there’s a discernible difference between 2k and 4k on anything smaller than a 27” panel. With the increased width resolution, you lose nothing when it comes to detail. Also, 5120x1440p is less demanding than 3840x2160p so if you can run games at 2k, you can run them at 2k ultra wide. Cons: - Aspect ratio compatibility: Most modern shooters/FPS games will have built in 32:9 support. Not all games do this equally well, and there will be many that introduce a strong fisheye effect. Many games do not support it at all and you either get squished wide picture or the game will just use the pixels that comprise the 16:9 space of the screen (which honestly isn’t that bad because OLED panels basically turn off inactive pixels, so you don’t see that hazy gray border on either side of your picture window.)

Gaming and multi tasking on this is really good. Cant beat oled and yeah its pretty wide but not very rall so games that do not support 5120×1440 is gonna have bars but rpg games are beautiful on this.

This monitor is crazy good. The picture is insanely sharp, colors pop like crazy, and the high refresh rate makes every game feel buttery smooth. No dead pixels, no lag, no issues at all. Setup was fast and the build quality feels solid. For the price, this thing is a monster. Absolutely worth it!

Works great, with built-in display size options and excellent image quality. It’s ideal for research and writing, allowing documents and sources to sit side by side. It’s also fantastic for gaming, playing ARC Raiders on an ultrawide is an incredible experience.

As a Code Developer starring at screens for more than 10 hours a day this is it. I should've got one years ago and saved my eyes sooner. No glare, multiple windows open and not having to worry about minimizing this, hiding that, etc. The one button for all in the rear monitor is easy to use (About time). I am running 5060 ti, 4060, MULTIPLE PCs with Ai's, LTX, Qwen, etc. and the screen laughs at you with the 240 refresh rate no matter what you throw at it. Everything you know and experienced so far in your life you thought was cool? Nope,... this screen magnifies the experience 10 times more. I will never go back to any other screen.. EVER!

Every day I enjoy this monitor more and more. If your into gaming or work related tasks this OLED can literally be what ever you need it to be. My last monitor was a 45 inch 1440p 200hz DQHD I used for gaming mostly. But in my need to up grade this BEAST just kept calling me. Let me just say OLED tech is just in a class of its own with visual quality and color accuracy then add 240hz to the mix and you are in for a wild ride playing games like Cyberpunk for example. The extreme details and popping colors only compliments this 49 inch behemoth. The HDR 10 specification this monitor comes equipped with works perfectly with windows giving you even more eye candy to enjoy. Samsung truly out did themselves with this one and I'm just glad Best Buy had the perfect sale at the perfect time making this the perfect opportunity to invest in this (Experience) yes this is not just a monitor its by all means an experience. I've heard people say once you go OLED you never go back now I see what they mean. My other monitor was cool but this is more like the Major Leagues. Dive into the settings and make it yours by pushing the limits of this monitor. Perfect for gaming but can do anything and like my title said get this monitor... ONLY if you enjoy stunning visual quality. Enjoy

I love this monitor. Definitely a huge upgrade from my old setup with a 2 monitor set-up. I have this setup in 1/3, 2/3 so its perfect for gaming and having discord open on what acts as a second monitor. Display is crisp and really adds to the immersion. When playing on the full screen it can definitely feel like too much screen depending on the game. Racing games it's amazing especially with a seat, wheel and pedals setup so you can sit back further. FPS it can be tricky but the peripheral vision can be helpful

Absolutely amazing piece of technology, I see true blacks with this OLED monitor and the HDR contrast really brings out the colors in a way I’ve never experienced before. Got it on sale and could not be any happier, the 49 inch curved display is more than enough to really emphasize immersion in gaming, particularly sim racing and graphically beautiful games. At this current price this is one of the best purchases you can make if you enjoy curved monitors and amazing contrast. Of course there’s different picture settings to tailor to everyone’s unique preferences in color.

I am thoroughly convinced that this is the single greatest monitor out there. It looks phenomenal, the colors are amazing, the refresh rate is absolutely killer. I'm in love

I went from a 32 inch 1080p monitor to this 49 inch 1440p monitor, I thought that the extra size would be less immersive because of having to move your head to see the whole screen, but I can say that is not the case. The 240hz refresh rate is nice but most of the time you won’t be able to reach the 240 fps in most games. The contrast is amazing and the anti glare screen really does take away any glare from lights or indirect sunlight. The one downside to this monitor is the computer you have to run it needs to be pretty high end, 1440p at 32:9 is almost as much as a 16:9 4k monitor, so just keep the performance of your pc in mind while buying this. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a truly generational experience.

The jump from a 34 inch 3440x1440p monitor to this 5120x1440p 49 inch display was surprisingly a big learning curve. It boasts an impressive 0.03 ms response time and for the sheer amount of features packed in it, the 240hz refresh rate is a pleasant surprise. The OLED panel is very vibrant and black/dark scenes are very beautiful on it. The only thing that holds it back would be greater support of 32:9 ultrawide in media. However, that's out of their control, so for now, this is a very good, if not great display which I'd recommend to anybody with the means and passion to get it.

Samsung 49" Odyssey OLED G9 G93SD Dual-QHD 240Hz monitor is a very nice and impressive ultra-wide monitor. The picture quality is excellent, the OLED screen looks sharp, and the 240Hz refresh rate feels very smooth for gaming and daily use. One thing to know before buying is that the screen can get very hot, especially in a smaller room. You may need good airflow or AC if the monitor is in a small space. The monitor itself is not too heavy, so it seems safe to use with a good-quality monitor arm if the arm supports the correct weight and size. Also, the curve is not very aggressive. It has some curvature, but it is not like a 1000R monitor, so keep that in mind if you want a very deep curved screen. Another small issue is that the factory DisplayPort cable is not very long, so depending on your desktop setup, you might need to buy a longer cable. Overall, it is a beautiful monitor with great performance, but make sure your room setup, desk space, and cable length work for it.

I have loveeeed my monitor since I got it back in June 2025. I stalked it until I found one for a little cheaper via open-box as I am building my streaming gamer situation at home. This monitor is a big part of my setup and also fits perfectly into my work life. This 49 inch screen holds unlimited windows for me to have easily available as I go about my work day. I don't want to be "long winded" (lol) so I will finish with this was one of best purchases and daily usage from Best Buy. Twitch: Methodical_Made

Really happy with the OLED G9. The picture quality is excellent, colors look great, and 240Hz is incredibly smooth. It was definitely a nice upgrade from the other G9 I originally purchased. Giuseppe helped me out with the exchange and once again provided great customer service. He was helpful, quick, and made the whole process easy.

First off, I have never had a 49" screen. I have always used a quad setup to get the "real estate" that I needed. That being said I will never go back to a quad! I have a 34" above for all other contant "streaming services, discord, etc." The 49" has a wonderful screen and the setup was very easy for me to use. Great color and the referesh rate is not to bad. The PnP is nice as well! For just a bit above 1k , I don't think there is another monitor on the market that can beat the quality of this! I have a 5070ti and the quality of the game play at 1440 is awesome! Specs of my system: AMD 7 9700x MSI - MAG B650 Tomahawk PNY Nvidia 5070ti Corsair 64Gb DDR5 6000 Mhz Samsung 2TB M.2 990 evo plus
