This is, without a doubt, the best monitor I’ve ever seen or used in my life. The Samsung 49” Odyssey OLED G9 (G93SD) is absolutely perfect – the image quality, the ultra-wide display, the 240Hz refresh rate, the stunning OLED clarity… it’s simply mind-blowing! I highly recommend it to anyone who has the privilege of experiencing it. Whether you’re a gamer, content creator, or professional – this monitor will transform the way you work and play. And a special thank you to Best Buy for extending my credit limit and making the financing possible. This was the best purchase I’ve ever made, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity. First off, I have never had a 49" screen. I have always used a quad setup to get the "real estate" that I needed. That being said I will never go back to a quad! I have a 34" above for all other contant "streaming services, discord, etc." The 49" has a wonderful screen and the setup was very easy for me to use. Great color and the referesh rate is not to bad. The PnP is nice as well! For just a bit above 1k , I don't think there is another monitor on the market that can beat the quality of this! The G93SD has worked very well with my 4080 gaming laptop. Especially when paired with a racing wheel set, the curvature and sheer width is very immersive. The SD models improve upon the previous year’s SC models with an improved anti-gloss display as well as a longer warranty period of 3 years as opposed to 1 year. Moreover, the G93 does not come with the sometimes cumbersome Smart TV features of the more expensive G95 models. (That’s savings for your pocket!) While integrated TV softwares do have their share of upsides, many models that include them have reported not only glitches with the operating system, but possible serious overheating. My only protest is that the provided stand likes to wiggle with ease, consider purchasing a Vesa mount for the desk or wall if this is a concern for you.

I went from a dual monitor setup to this and its a night and day difference it productivity and ease of use. No more lag between monitors or wondering where your curser is. If you think this is only for gaming you’re wrong - this monitor allows me to look at plans at scale and not need to constantly change zoom settings - while trasking my takeoff on the same scrreen using the magnet app.

I just recently bought this monitor and I love it, this is my first curved monitor and I was a little worried. I wouldn't get used to the curve, but after about a week the curve isn't a problem at all. I will say one downside to this monitor is watching YouTube or anything else, because YouTube or any other streaming services don't support ultra wide monitors. So it windows it into the center of the monitor, making your 49" into more of a 22" monitor. Some games might also do this but I haven't played one yet.

I have loveeeed my monitor since I got it back in June 2025. I stalked it until I found one for a little cheaper via open-box as I am building my streaming gamer situation at home. This monitor is a big part of my setup and also fits perfectly into my work life. This 49 inch screen holds unlimited windows for me to have easily available as I go about my work day. Primarily used for casual use and work/productivity. I went from a double 27" set up to this. I have been enjoying the transition so far. This is early in the ownership phase so I can not review the longevity but it is a very nice monitor and would recommend it if you are looking for a nice ultrawide. I am not much of a gamer so I can not review that type of usage, although I would not mind trying to game on this, looks like it would be amazing! just 4 stars for now since it to early to award it a 5 star award.

Been enjoying this monitor for a few weeks now. No issues at all. Colors are incredible and the refesh rate is super smooth. Best ultrawide out there imo.

This monitor is amazing! I love the size and how much easier I can see on it. Easy setup, make sure to have a second person to help lift because it’s heavy. Picture quality is great. Also one suggestion make sure to have plenty of space for it. It’s large!

This is the office and gaming solution for anyone who has 13 things going at once! I love streaming and working off of this monitor, it has been totally life changing! Note: on top of my PC is a 32” flat monitor.

I absolutely love this monitor! I truly can’t say enough good things about it. Now that I’ve gone to an Ultra Wide there really is no going back. I work from home and record music as a hobby and this monitor works amazingly for increasing my productivity, no matter what task I am trying to do.

I bought this for work and it’s def more of a gaming monitor. It’s a little more inconvenient to use for work because I do find myself swinging my head back and forth alot because it’s so wide but I’m also looking at really small numbers, not a gaming scene, so the issue is mine, not the monitor

"I'm going to like this" was my first impression of the hardware. The monitor is very sleek, thin, and modern looking—and huge. You’ve likely seen an ultrawide monitor before; this is that size, and the OLED screen is very bright and amazing to look at. I own another Samsung wide-screen panel with a beautiful OLED display, but it has a glossy coating, so reflections are muted, but present. This Odyssey has a very fine anti-glare coating, which is very muted and reflects nothing. It really is a welcome feature since the curvature of this display isn't as extreme as some other gaming-focused displays (it’s 1800R). I believe this is a perfect middle-ground for using it as both a gaming display and a productivity display. Its inputs are flexible, with a DPI and HDMI input, meaning you can have multiple signals and by using the pip feature, you can have two different sources display content at the same time (basically it’s two 27” monitors side-by-side). This makes it easy to have both gaming and productivity work on the same monitor, if that’s your thing. The OLED is as amazing as you’d expect from Samsung; it gets very bright and the colors are eye-popping and beautiful. It has 110 ppi which, for a panel this size, provides a high level of detail when displaying text. Only if you get your nose right up to it can you see pixels, which isn’t a concern unless you typically sit that close to the screen. As mentioned earlier, my use is about 50/50 between my job and after-hours gaming. The best feature for productivity is its ability to display multiple documents/programs with Windows’ size presets. I snap 3-4 documents/programs that span across the screen, giving me an extremely productive view without having to toggle and re-size various programs to fit on a “normal” screen. The refresh rate is 240hz, which is incredible when paired with a gaming PC. I also use my desktop 4090 machine to play games and for general personal use. Playing something like Forza or any AAA games, really—there is zero ghosting as this panel features a 0.03ms response time, meaning you will never see artifacting or blurring with fast action content. Playing ANY game is amazing, so you are fully covered if you have a powerful enough graphics card to run modern games. Productivity is also unmatched; it even beats multiple monitors that display less information each. I've seen some reviews that comment on its speakers, although I haven’t used the speakers (nor have I found them), so I’m not sure that’s accurate. What I can say, however, is it’s a monitor first and foremost, meaning it doesn’t have a TV tuner or the usual Samsung OS; it’s just a “dumb” monitor, which is exactly what I need. Overall, this panel will make 99.9% of users very happy. Between its large size, antiglare coating, input flexibility, and stunning brightness and inky black blacks, IMO this is the best display on the market today. I would have zero hesitation recommending it to anyone in need of such a display. Definitely a solid buy, IMO.
