The machine is quiet and efficient. The 5 cu ft capacity has cut down the number of loads.

This washer is really big! I love it, except that I'm short- just shy of 5'2, so everytime I need to switch a load, I have to use a stool and literally hang my body over the edge and into the washer to get my clothes out! It's actually quite comical, but really it's a pain. I did realize this would be a problem when we picked it out, but still...please take this into consideration if you're vertically challenged, as I am. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, it's a great washer! My clothes seem very clean when they're done. There's different wash cycles to suit every type of clothing/bedding you'd have. And it holds A LOT. We have a family of 5, and capacity was very important. This machine certainly fits the bill. As an added bonus, it plays a lovely tune when the cycle is finished. The first time I heard it, I was like....what the heck IS that?? When I realized it was the washer, it made me chuckle. I've read some people find it quite annoying, but I actually enjoy it. It's pretty long which is nice because I can hear it throughout the house so I never miss the end of the cycle. I don't think it washes any quicker than my old machine, but that's ok for me. Another thing to note is that it doesn't have an agitator in the center so you have to kind of push the clothing/bedding around the sides just so it isn't completely covering the center. I don't find this to be a problem at all, but it is another factor to consider. Overall, I am happy with this product and I would recommend it!

Larger capacity in the same space as our old washer. Very quiet. Does a good job. It is difficult for my wife to reach the bottom of the tub. She uses a grabber, or me to help. You might want to check this out in the store before you buy.

Love the size of the top load washer. Very quiet and efficient

It had been a while since we had last gotten a new washer/dryer and when we started looking we saw a lot of people complaining about the high efficiency top-loaders. We've had the unit for a few months and the performance is outstanding. The size is great for a family of four, and the clothes come out clean with no residue every time.

I’ve had my washer now for about a month and I’m very happy with my purchase . I’m so glad I went with the top-loading and glad I did a lot of research before purchasing and that I got it on sale. It is quiet amd works perfectly, I love everything about it. I previously had a front load washer that didn’t last and it was too small. I love how big it is and although I need a 2 step ladder to take the clothes out (I’m 5’) but it’s ok with me! I can now wash my comforters and blankets at home which is wonderful and so convenient! I still have my old dryer but I can’t wait to purchase the matching Samsung dryer to have the beautiful pair! I love Samsung and Best Buy. Great service as always!

We purchased this unit as a replacement for the top loader Samsung Model # WA40J3000AW/A2 recall unit. We used the exchange rebate and went with the newer model and love it. It is much quieter and has larger clothes capacity. Still trying to figure out how to turn off the music when it lets you know the wash is complete; its the only annoying thing, however my wife likes it.

Large capacity, very quiet, clothes are super clean

I have had this washing machine for only a month, so I cannot speak to its reliability over time. We had purchased a different brand top loader washing machine and it was so bad (loud, shook violently on spin, and didn't get clothes clean)! Best Buy was great on letting us swap out the first machine for this model Samsung. The difference left me astounded! This machine is quiet, does not violently shake in spin cycle, and gets clothes clean! Also note, Samsung recommends you not use the detergent pods, which I had no issue with. It can handle very large loads. You really need to take the time to follow the manual in calibrating the machine, the installers will not do it, and it is a necessary step for optimal performance.

I purchased a Samsung WA422PRHDWR washer 12/2012. It worked good until 8/2017. I contacted Samsung and it was one of their recall models. They attempted a repair but it failed to resolve the issue. They assured me that the issue has been corrected in this model. They are processing a refund for the 2012 purchase.

Pros. Quiet. Nice capacity. Ease of use. No smell from he detergent. Price. Cons: dang chime when clothes are clean. Almost too deep for a short person. 5 ‘6’’ to reach the bottom.

I have always been a Kenmore person, but after having replace two washers in less than 6 months decided to give Samsung a try. 6 months later and it still works great. I purchase it when it was on sell for less than $600. I decided on the top loader because the lid has to stay open for it not to smell and if it was in the front the kids would had destroy it. After every wash leave the top open. It was confusing to decide what cycle to use. Some cycles do not give enough water. We always wash on deep wash because that is the only cycle that I see the water go over the clothes. I was hesitant to purchase a top loader with out the spin thing in the middle but to my surprise I was able to fit my king size comforter with no issue and white clothes come out really clean.

One of the first things I washed was a king sized quilt and pillow shams. It came out beautiful! I was concerned about the water level being low, but that's why it is high-efficiency. I was also concerned that it did not have an agitator but it did not make a difference. I watched the water as each cycle drained into the laundry tub and was happy that the water was crystal clear on the final drain. And I did not use the deep wash feature on that load. The delicate cycle is just as impressive as the heavy load. If there is anything that is a con about this machine is that at 5' 2", I need a step stoot is a very good product so far.

Everyone tells me they are keeping their old washers for fear of the new high-efficiency washers that "don't use enough water." If that sounds like something you'd say, then it's time to finally throw out your rusting old machine and upgrade. This washer is HUGE, quiet, effective, and efficient. Still, if you like the piece of mind of looking into a drum full of water drowning your laundry, simply use the Deep Wash setting and watch the gallons flood in! It's hard to see in the pictures and the description wasn't clear, but this washer DOES have a softener and detergent drawer for neatly dispensing fluids.

If i have one complaint, it's that this washing machine is a little too deep for my wife, who's 5'1", to reach the bottom to pull out clothes. Nothing having a step stool around can't resolve, however. Besides that, this washing machine does a terrific job cleaning, from small to large loads.

Love our washing machine, very efficient and everything comes out very clean! It’s a very large, deep washer and if you are smaller you may have to get on your tiptoes to reach. I was nervous with it being a Samsung but love it. They fixed whatever the old issue was with the initial series.

Best Buy had this washer cheaper than everyone else. I researched it and it had great reviews from various sources. It is a large capacity washer which is what we needed. It does its job very well and is much better than the washer we had before. Very happy with this purchase.
