I picked up this Samsung 8000 series 55" right after Thanksgiving. Having not bought a new television in almost ten years, i was stunned by the svelte profile and light weight. It set up very easily - and looked great out of the box. Purists might find the color saturation and contrast a bit over the top - but that's the only negative I can see. It has a great picture, brilliant color, and easy to use menus.

Sounds great, the unit is somewhat bulky, connection to Samsung tv works flawlessly.

This product is good but needs some possible firmware updates for Bluetooth connection with satellite speakers. I honestly would rate it with 5 stars because when it's working appropriately it's amazing. The only problem I have is the occasional drop of audio in satellite speakers for some unknown reason. If Samsung could fix this it would be a totally amazing product for what it is.

This is a great sound bar. It sounds great and once I was able to figure out how to route my PS4 to the system properly I've been very happy. The only drawback is that there aren't too many BluRay movies with the Dolby Atmos sound on it at this time so I don't get to use the Atmos very often.

This unit was an OK unit if all you want is fronts and center. You can add the rears but they only are used for surround content, and at that are very low in volume. I spent 2 hours on Samsung tech support to only become more and more discouraged. Every time I asked a question I was placed on hold so the girl could look up the answer on her computer. The tech support is nothing more than girls with accents that are very hard to understand. I girl I spoke with was from the Phillipeans and didnt understand any of my questions. I finally was told she could not help me. So I returned it to Best Buy without trouble. I ended up buying a Dennon receiver and Definitive Technology speakers with a Klipsh sub. I would not buy Samsung based on misleading information and very very poor customer support that is unable to understand you and vice versa.

This is a good sound bar, the bass is a bit overpowering and the Atmos sound needs adjusting.

I have tried soundbars in the past and have been horribly disappointed, though this animal my not be perfect for the most persnickity of audiophiles it does pump out a great sound, rich, room filling, amazing sound, and I say this as someone who has long since avoided soundbars.

Great Sound! Works Great with Samsung TV. Wish it was a little louder.

I purchased this to work with a Samsung Q TV; (1) the bar is designed to have all the HDMI devices plugged into it. - it only has 2 HDMI input I have 3 devices (Dish, AppleTV, Blu-Ray) the TV accepts 3 devices directly. (2) When you connect the devices to the bar the TV no longer auto recognizes the devices (and the devices are connected to the TV via the bar so the TV only "thinks" there is 1 device attached not the 2) (3) bar has wifi setting (it can connect to TV via wifi for sound out) cool feature but speaker cuts out on movies and can get crackly. (3) The bar does not turn off (when hooked up via HDMI) automatically with TV. Per online research it will if it is hooked up with optical cables to the TV (who uses optical cable)? The connection to the remote speakers and sub is seamless and great. It sounds great but for the price I was very disappointed with the way it connects to the TV - both bar and TV are Samsung 2018 models and higher end.

Installation needed to be simple, and it was. The only hiccup we experienced was the settings for external speakers on our Samsung TV were not correct. I made one call to samsung customer service and spoke with the most intelligent customer service individual I have ever spoken. My issue was solved in less than 10 minutes. Honestly, she was amazing. Don't be afraid to call customer service. They don't just read a script; they actually know what they are doing. I do think it helped that my TV was a samsung. So now to the product... Yes, the sound is amazing, but if you are looking for something that you can really adjust to your needs you may need to keep looking. There are not a lot of settings that you can change, For example the Left Speaker only has 4 levels, That's really the same as on and off. You can definitely tell when it's turned on, the sound is amazing, but there's not a lot of tweaking you can do.

Setup was straightforward and simple. As for sound? I guess if you were in a tiny 10x10' room it would be great, but othwrwise i would have chosen a reciever and speaker setup. I really thought the voices in movies and tv would come thru more clear, yet sadly not with this system. Just like old recievers ambient noise and music is much much louder than voices. We were told that it was true surround sound system, yet all we have ever heard from the rear speakers was an echo of the front. Treble is overpowering even when set to the lowest levels possible, seems to have minimal to no midrange, and bass is impossible to get turned up to actually hear it. When the sub hits, it will be deep and clear. Problem is, the sub rarely gets activated. At best, this is a mediocre sound system. Better than other soundbars we have tried, but still no where close to what a reciever setup can do. A few more years of tinkering and i think samsung will get this right but for now, pass. Wasted our money on this one.

Easy setup. Wall mount. Wireless sub and satellites sync easy. Room filling sound.

I bought this as an open box item, at a very good price, but I was overall disappointed. The main soundbar worked very well, but one of the rear speakers had some static. This is not necessarily a negative review of the speakers, I'm just disappointed that Best Buy, repackaged it and try to sell it as good. Just buy it new.

Great Sound bar , great sound , plus , its a wireless .

Great for watching movies and gaming in hdr but too over price and not to mention that it does not support dts and samsung firmware updates are horrible

Sounds OK. Could be a little bit louder sounds great when it's in 4K in a movie that is being played in Dolby Adam's otherwise it's basic surround sound. Looks great and never have any trouble with connection with the rear speakers.
