    Good soundbar for certain setups

    We needed something to boost the sound from our cheap LCD TV in the living room. After looking at a number of different soundbars, I settled on a Samsung because of name recognition and my son has 2 of them on his TV's. I also purchased the satellite rear channel speakers at the same time. Setup was very simple, the wireless sub connected immediately upon plugging in the AC line, however the satellite speakers were a little harder to get to pair up. The manuals for the soundbar and satellite speakers could be a little clearer that the remote buttons for volume and subwoofer actually press in (to allow access to setup menus) as well as toggle up and down. Overall the sound is good from the system, however, as most people will attest, it could do with a little more bass, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. But for the setup I wanted this for, it's perfect and it supplies the all the volume we need for the room. I would absolutely buy this again for this setup. I would recommend you thoroughly examine your current setup and devices you have attached to your TV. Some models out there have more than 1 HDMI input, making it a simple thing to plug in your X-Box or Playstation, your Chromecast, your Blu-Ray, etc. For my setup I have to run the X-Box and Chromecast into the TV and then connect the TV to the soundbar via the optical digital cable. YMMV.

    Very Disappointing

    I started to have problems as soon as the Geek Squad installed this soundbar. First, I thought maybe it wasn't compatible with my 2018 Samsung TV as the soundbar is the 2019 model. I contacted Samsung who told me it was compatible. The problem I found was that the TV kept reverting back to TV sound versus sound from the soundbar. Also, sometimes the TV sound and the soundbar were both operating at the same time. Best Buy came out a few times and corrected the situation, only to have it continue. Best Buy also replaced it for a new unit. If you mute the TV, it will automatically go to TV sound when it's unmuted. If I turn the volume down completely instead of muting, I can manage to keep the soundbar on when I turn up the volume again. I can't be positive it's the soundbar problem, but it's possible they did not program my Comcast remote properly. I've given up on it and decided to work with it the best I can.

      1. Turn on the Soundbar and press the SOUND MODE button on the remote for 6 seconds. Check that the display shows ON-Bluetooth Power.
      2. Do not turn off the Soundbar before turning off the TV. In other words, turn the TV off first, after a while the Soundbar will automatically turn off too.

    When it works correctly it sounds very good, but unfortunately I have not had very much success in getting it to work right. I figured this would be a great Soundbar to replace my very old Samsung Soundbar that I just recently started having problems with. Well I have only had this product for a day and it has been nothing but trouble. We go to watch something and all of a sudden the Soundbar will switch from TV Arc mode to HDMI and we lose sound for around 20 seconds, then it will switch back to TV Arc but it will turn the volume way up to 47 every time! Sometimes it will not happen that often and other times it will happen around every 2 minutes until we get tired of it. I have tried just using the Digital Input and unplugging the HDMI that controls the Arc, but it will still do the same thing. I am about to just return it and get a different one, and maybe a different brand.

    It’s an OK system

    I don’t see the reason to go and spend the money for 5.1 vs 3.1 after the unit is now in my home. 5.1 vs 2.1 is absolutely a big difference. The product itself is cool and it does amplify the sounds of movies but not in amazing movie theater quality. Also, the subwoofer feels weak. Moral of the story of you are buying this as a part of you overall surround sound package I can say buy it. If not then maybe spend more and get a better quality one that will deliver great surround experience.

      There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize the potential of the included wireless subwoofer. First is to increase the WOOFER level from the included remote control. Second is to adjust the bass control: Press the Sound Control button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level.

      Finally, for precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

    Sound volume is all over the place!

    When the sound is cooperating, it sounds pretty great. BUT, the volume jumps from very loud to extremely quiet randomly! Both the soundbar and the sub do this without anyone touching the remote. And this happens very often, I'd say at least 5 times in a 30 minute show. I've tried, taking the batteries out of the remote, trying all different sound modes, and power cycling the speakers. Nothing has worked! Its so bad that we just use the built in TV speakers for now. I plan on returning this in a couple days. Very unfortunate.

    Real good for the price

    Pretty good surround simulation. There are better, but they cost a lot more. Sub is a little weak, but, with the size, I knew that going in. Easy, easy easy to install and get running. Tweaked the bass/treble setting to get some warmth to the mids, and a bit more bass when you need it. Sounded pretty good as a music player (past soundbars were horrible). I plan on keeping this little guy.

    I exceeded my expectations in everything, from the installation, the sound is very natural, I do not give it 5 stars because three fourths saturates slightly. It is a good option for medium places that do not need a lot of volume. Another detail is that the lows are not well defined. To tell you the truth, I do not know who was wrong if Samsung with the audio system or Harmon Kardon with the speakers If I highly recommend them

    First Sound Bar worth buying.

    I looked online for a sound bar and found this one on sale $50 off. Printed out the add and went to my local Best Buy that said they had 2 in stock. I almost bought the Bose until I saw the $1200 price tag attached to it. This one isn't as clear, but it pumps out some bass and I don't need much more for the living room. Great quality for under $500. Great for music and movies.

    This is not a super high-end sound system, but for the money, you can't beat the sound. I initially wanted it to sound like my high-end home theater, but then I realized that this I purchased this for a fraction of the price, installed it in no time at all, and it sounded incredible considering I didn't have to hire an installer or run a bunch of wires.

    This sound bar system went excellent with my Samsung Q60 TV. I have a fairly large room and it fills the room with ease around half its sound level. It's clear and loud enough for enjoyment of movies which I like. Highly recommend. I had a little difficulty setting up the system at first but once everything was set, it worked beautifully.

    This one is an easy one. 5.1 Channel 360W with Subwoofer. Just makes you want to brag about the 5 speaker system that plays so much better than the 2.1 Channel I had previously. Sound is crisp, clear and brings a whole new sound to the forefront. Watching 4K shows with an amazing sound, who could ask for anything more.

    The minor glitch that may be encountered due to the synchronization of the sound and video is easily fixed by just following the directions or viewing the you tube video. Sound bar sounds and looks Great Wall mounted by the geek Squad.

    This replaces a much older soundbar. We bought a new 4K tv and this on sale and had a special price if bought at same time so we decided to upgrade. Sounds so much better than our old one and the bass is much louder. Love that it connects everything through Bluetooth as well. We have had no issues with it so far.

    I bought both the Soundbar system as well as the back speakers. It was extremely easy to set up. I have a 65inch Sony XBR TV and had no problem in syncing. The back speakers quickly synced with the blue tooth connection too. Sound quality is excellent for the price and I highly recommend it to the non-geek like me

    We were originally only going to buy a new tv but the guy that helped us told us it would be better to buy a sound system at first we weren’t that convinced but he made it seem like a great deal so we bought it and it is amazing the sound quality now is so much better movie nights are even better now

    My boyfriend told me I needed this for my new tv. I was skeptical as I thought new tv would have good enough speakers. Boy was I surprised!!! I LOVE THIS SOUND BAR!! What a DIFFERENCE it makes! And we use the Bluetooth option when we listen to albums on my phone!

    This replaced an older soundbar that I had. It is great for the living room. The sound is very clear. Dialogue is easy to hear/understand. It is connected to a Samsung 65 inch Q7F TV. And it does come with its own remote. The specs on the site listed that it did not include a remote.

    This sound bar is great if your looking for good bang for you buck. It plays music really well and captures action really well with the subwoofer. I would recommend buying. It might not be as good as the $1,200 sound bar but it was less than half the cost.

    I would have liked a full surround system - but this was a great compromise. I would have rated it a 5 - but my 1 star reduction was do to the fact there is no way to mount directly to me new Samsung TV - without purchasing a different bracket.
