The Samsung slide in induction range is simply excellent. It looks great and works better. I love the way induction heats the pan but not the cooktop.

Oven worked for a few days past one year(wasnt installed immediately) Code C-31 on display. Seems to be a common problem judging from complaints online. We bought a houseful of Samsung appliances and have lots of trouble. Refrigerator repaired twice in one year and now the oven has quit. No more Samsung for me.

Good but has some issues

I've had this stove since 2016 and only recently has it started having issues. Last year the touch panel started having issues with the bottom row of numbers not working and the warming drawer turns on by itself. I replaced the panel and it started acting up again.
Outside of that it had been great and it is hard to beat an induction stove top.

I read reviews carefully before buying this range. The induction cooktop is amazing, beautiful and heats things quickly. The oven also heated up very quickly. As I was testing it out I was surprised to feel heat blowing at me as I was using the oven and cooking at the stove. Apparently, the oven vents heat out the front of the unit, right behind the door handle. This means that if I am baking at the same time I am cooking, I am constantly having hot air blown on me. I live in Texas. It is hot here. This is not acceptable to me. I'm surprised that none of the other reviews I have read address this issue. It was also a pain to level the range just right to have the cooktop meet, but not rest on the counter.

Hi, JanetG, thank you for reaching out. It is normal for the convection fan to run while the oven is preheating, and it should always turn off when you open the door. The fan also circulates air during cooking. While all of the above are part of the normal function of the unit, I want to be sure you feel comfortable using your range. Your peace of mind is most important to me. Please reach out to me to discuss service options. Slick design. Responsive burners. No warranty

Pros: Clean look. Quick responsive burners. Informative bright display.
Cons: WiFi feature is only useful to check if oven or burners are ON, you can control oven but not top. App is sluggish and very slow. You can not turn off burners remotely, just oven.
Item has plastic legs. One leg had stripped thread so I can not adjust the height. Samsung customer service suggested that I hire a professional and they refused to do anything or even cover the part just transferred me to parts department. They pretty much wasted my time on the phone since first time I was pretty much transferred until last person told me to call Samsung customer service and second time they told me to hire someone. I really expected them to at lest ship this plastic leg. Will have to come up with wooden block to support this expensive range. I wonder what the warranty is for and hope nothing else breaks.

It was a great oven, while it lasted. Thankfully for blacktie protection, we were able to get it replaced with a newer model without any issues.

No Common Sense Service

I have heard personally from people's experience that Samsung Customer Service is horrible and that they wouldn't buy another Samsung Appliance. I certainly experienced the same myself today. Customer Service in Samsung has no common sense! They wouldn't admit that their appliances have defects. I bought a induction slide-in range just 2 months ago. A spice jar fell on the edge of the stove top and the glass cracked across the surface, but the spice jar itself is perfectly fine. I expect appliances in a kitchen would be tougher. I called customer service and the customer rep doesn't think this is a defect and couldn't cover it under warranty. Obviously, the person who design this range never actually cooked in a real kitchen. Then I informed the customer rep about another issue on how the touch screen turns on by me wiping on the screen or when I lean over. All these activations are not direct contact with skin, but through clothing. I have to constantly turn off these accidental "touches". The customer rep told me that even the touch screen turning on is not defective either. "It's designed to detect touches. It's not defective," he said. If you are not intentionally trying to push a button, and you accidentally bump a button with your stomach through clothing and not your finger, then it's poorly designed. Again, the person who design the range never cooked with it. It's not worth buying any Samsung appliance because this horrible service.

BUYER BEWARE-DO NOT BUY

My only complaint during the first year is uneven baking , unexpected for a convection oven, but I still liked the oven/range. As soon as the warranty ran out I began to have some real issues though. The oven began overheating, meaning that if I had it set to 375 it would go up to 500 and beyond, confirmed by the repair man. In fifteen minutes time it had burned homemade mac and cheese set to 375 to charcoal and set off the smoke detectors. It also turned on by itself and overheated which set off the smoke detectors yet again. After four separate attempts customer service finally repaired the thermal sensor and switched out the mother board which was short circuiting, causing the self turn on and overheating. All at the cost of $315. One week later the convection fan went. A week after that it was not getting up to temperature and would take 45+ minutes to bake chocolate chip cookies! Now again I am getting thermal sensor error codes and shut downs. I actually have to keep the breaker turned off when the oven isn't in use out of fear that it will turn itself on again and possibly cause a fire. Customer service is ridiculous and won't do anything except repeat the words "Your unit is out of warranty". DO NOT BUY! I expected more out of Samsung, this unit is a fire and safety hazard.

The main burner shuts down and unable to use. The repair tech said the wiring harness was not installed correctly causing damage and therefore needed to be replaced. in the process repair tech damaged the cooktop. Not happy with this product or Samsung service.

Poor reliability/manufacterer support

We purchased a Samsung induction top range about 4 years ago and have been unable to use two of the four burners for over a year. The local dealer's service dept (not Best Buy) has been unable to determine what's wrong. After reading reviews by other Samsung range owners' reviews, I've concluded that Samsung's appliances are inherently unreliable. Moreover, the support from Samsung is poor at best.

For 2 years this was a great product. The first time I used the self clean option for the oven, it overheated the circuit board resulting in a C-31 error code. Poorly designed if you burn the main circuit board on first use. Samsung has a problem with. Look it up online. Cost to repair is in excess of $400. If you buy this, plan on buying the longest extended warranty they offer. Or better yet, don't buy a Samsung product. This is no reflection on Best Buy.

Disappointing oven

2 issues
The key pad is problematic--if you accidentally touch the wrong key it sets off a loc cycle. How this happens is you wipe up a spill as something else is cooking in the oven. It's ridiculous that a lock cycle is set off by a single glancing touch by a cloth. Poor design.
The second issue is that I can't get the oven clean. Running it on self clean just bakes the dirt on. I regret purchasing this.
