I've had this Samsung Electric Range for 24 days, and I'm extremely satisfied. I like everything about it...the color, it's simple to use, and it's sleek elegant design. The electric coils light up quickly, and the materials that make=up the range are high quality. I feel that I made a great decision choosing this brand and this range. I also bought a white Samsung refrigerator.

The reason for 4 stars is that delivery was in about 3-4 weeks. Other than that, I'm overall pleased with my purchase. The staff were courteous and knowledgeable about the product which eased the stress during shopping. Set up was a breeze with the delivery men. They were efficient as they were in an out in a jiff. I am so satisfied with the stove I named it, Boopsie.

I haven't given Best Buy the opportunity to correct these issues, but having the oven for just 3 weeks, these are my concerns, the oven runs hot, I checked with an oven thermometer at 350, it quickly read over 375. The cooktop scratched immediately. I've had conection ovens before and aware the surface might be damaged if metal items were slid across the cooktop. I set the tea kettle directly upon, and carefully lifted off. I have a warranty, which is a relief. Now I'm questioning my choice, because I let myself be talked down into a lesser brand, and now I wish I hadn't. I love to bake and every time I try, they turn out dry and over baked, even though I reduce their baking time. This is my love /hobby and this is so disappointing
I really appreciate your request for feedback

Four heating and one warming element. The two front ones are both adjustable to better match the pot size that you are using. Easy to use controls and lots of settings. Nice size oven that can also use convection baking for added versatility. Good size oven window keeps the heat in while viewing the baking process. Nice glass top that is easy to clean along with the self cleaning oven. Best Buy had it for a decent price delivered to me in 3 weeks making this a great purchase.

I love my new stove! It looks sleek as long as you don't touch it. I should have gotten fingerprint resistant. It is easy to use and my food is good!

I have only had my new stove for a week. So far so good. My old stove was 22 years old. Lots of new bells and whistles! Love the cook top, just like the old one. Great for adding counter space to small kitchen. Can cook regular and convection with this oven. No electric heating coil in bottom of stove. Surprised! (First stove delivered was damaged. Waited 7 weeks for another) All good now!

I researched what I wanted and best buy gave me an equal price compared to others and I was able to get delivery in a few days, not a few months. Love the Samsung glass top with choice of bake or bake with convection. And it has a warmer spot and a bread rise button. So far very happy.

After using this range for two months, here's a summary of its good and bad points:
The good:
1) Very accurate oven temperatures. This is a big thing if you do a lot of baking, especially.
2) Cooktop temperature control works well, even though it is a glass top. It has fast heat capability, also, so it will boil water in a reasonable amount of time.
3) The bread proofing feature is...perfect. That feature is actually why I bought this stove over a few other potential candidates, and it is really great.
4) The convection bake makes absolutely perfect bread.
In other words, it does what is expected of it as a cooktop and oven.
However, there are some things that could be improved:
The not-so-good:
1) When you turn the oven light on from the control panel, if you open the oven door, when you shut it again it turns the light off. This is amazingly annoying, as you have to poke the on button for it repeatedly if you are checking on something that requires frequent opening of the oven door.
2) The spacing of the wires in the oven racks is just plain too wide. I like to roast potatoes just on the rack, and unless you have a massive spud, they will fall right through. My last oven had much closer spaced rack wires, and it was much better. Also, the wide spacing sometimes makes smaller baking or roasting pans tip sideways, which never happened with my last oven.
3) I wish the regular bake setting did not use the convection fan. I prefer to have the option of not having the fan come on at all if I want a plain bake, but that's not possible with this oven. This means that if you are using even the non-convection bake setting to cook meat dishes, they tend to dry out a bit, which is not optimal.
The rest of my reservations about this range have nothing to do with this particular oven, but more general frustration with having to use a flat glass cooktop.
Even though I think Samsung did a very good job with how the cooktop actually cooks, I truly hate glass cooktops. This one, as with most, requires constant maintenance to keep it from getting gunked up even with just normal cooking. Any liquids that land on it must be removed quickly or they bake on, and if they have sugar in them, they can cause permanent etching to the surface. So, I have my stovetop cleaner and a little razor scraper made for stove tops to address that, but it's a royal pain in the whatever.
In addition, it's essential to make sure the bottom of your cookware has zero residue of any type on them, or it will bake itself into the cooktop when you cook. This is difficult when you have had a little spill during cooking, say if you are making soup, and some of it has reached the bottom of the pot. That gets baked right into the bottom of the pot as cooking continues, and then unless you are super careful to remove it before reheating the soup in it, it will just transfer the residue back to the stovetop when you put the pot back on to reheat it.
Then, my last frustration is how careful you have to be with heavier pots, to avoid cracking or scratching the glass. I have several Le Creuset pots, which are wonderful to cook with , but are heavy, and I greatly fear that one day one of them will slip a little as I am either putting one down or picking it up from the cooktop and BAM, that will be that. However, as I said, this applies to all glass cooktops, not just this one...
So, in summary? Good stove. Not perfect, but what is?
What I really wish was that there was a coil-top version of this stove (without those STUPID temperature limiters they put on the coils now). That would have been perfect. Unfortunately, to get the other features that this range has (bread proofing, decent overall construction), you cannot any longer buy a coil top, as they are now bottom of the barrel in terms of design and construction. Very frustrating.

We are pretty happy with this range. It is a glass-top which I have never owned before. So far it has been fairly easy to keep clean. It seems that the switches could be set up in a manner that would make the settings a little more clear. Overall, it has been good so far.

Purchasing our new stove was quick and easy. With the help of a Beat Buy Member we picked out the stove that would serve us best. We chose to have our old hauled away and install the new one ourself. We used it the day we got it for a thanksgiving with friends and we are extremely happy with how well the Turkey cooked in the convection oven. The burners heat up fast. They also seem much hotter than normal. What cooks at a 5 is now too hot and needs to be at a 3. Overall...we love it.

Really like this range. The oven works great, heats up quickly. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the bottom storage drawer is very shallow and flimsy.

My mom loves the stove. The only problem: she can't easily open the drawer. It's heavy and hard to pull. The burners heat up quickly and the oven bakes evenly.

I love the range. It is a bit bigger than the one I had. It has a lot more options than I have ever thought about needing. I am still learning how to use them all. Took a while to find a white range but I am glad I waited for this one. My kitchen is so small and the other appliances are white and a different color stove would have made my kitchen look even smaller.

This oven works better than expected! The burners and warming burner all work quickly to heat and boil. The convection oven is exactly what I wanted and that technology actually helps to preheat the over quicker. Setup is fast and easy. This does cook faster and more evenly so the only adjustment you need when cooking is monitor closely until you get used to the faster baking time frame.

No problems with delivery although we were not given much advance warning prior to delivery. Installation was quick and professional. There was some confusion as to the need of a new power cable that needed to be purchased or had to be available at the time of installation. Even the appliance sales people at the store weren’t sure.
The range looks very nice and so far works great.
