My 2009 Samsung 32" died on me 8 years to the date of purchase. I thought, "how odd is this?!...maybe this is a sign?!".. Anyway...I knew I needed to buy one but had limited funds to do so. I figured I would get a 36" but that size is obsolete so 40" was my next best option. Mind you the idea of owning a 50 was SO BEYOND my framework of thinking. I did however indulge myself by checking out the 50".... even if for a brief moment. Well, would you know?...that "sign" I mentioned, was real! ..I went through A LOT headaches in an attempt to stay within my budget, that I almost lost my mind!...After all the drama of my "open box" nightmare that came with missing parts, poor packing,and a huge damage to screen (mind you this was OPEN BOX EXCELLENT--GEEK CERTIFIED), the out of stock on the replacement of the tv, and a list of other issues, I ended up with the 2017 Smart model and FAR below my budget and retail cost of tv. This new model has a newly designed stand to prevent from tipping over. The Eco Sensor feature or Micro Dimming, adjusts to the light in the viewing room. The color, the picture, the overall fluidity of the TV is really beautiful. Maybe its the artist in me, but it flows as you use from one function to another. My old tv never did this all. It is very intuitive and intelligently designed. I would not recommend putting this TV together alone. It is possible and even though it is rather lightweight for a 50", I would have preferred someone to assist in the final stage of standing up the TV. I was SO afraid I would accidentally touch the screen that I seriously took my time and used my resourcefulness to prevent any damages. After the open box fiasco, I was determined to KEEP this tv. Overall, I am happy and very grateful for the "nightmare" experience because I would not be able to afford this TV! VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!

It was an easy, easy set up. The picture is fantastic.

TV looks and sounds great. The only issue I have had is the Netflix app has stopped working a few times. Talked to Samsung and they told me to I'm plug the tv, and that works. No issues with streaming, just occasionally can't open Netflix and have to I'm plug and replug.

I bought a 40 inch Samsung tv from best buy a couple of years ago which I loved. I decided to go a little bigger with a 50 inch and I love it! The picture is so sharp and clear. The color is rich and vibrant. It's very easy to navigate the menu and setup was a breeze. All of my favorite apps are available on this tv. Another plus is that I got it on sale at a great price! I'm very happy with this purchase!

Used to like LG but have had problems with two of them so trying out this Samsung. So far it has a great picture and is easy to use. Nice remote. Very good price at Best Buy with easy purchase and pick up. The LR store has helpful staff.

For the price, this tv has a great picture with the Smart feature that gives us Netflix & Acorn tv.

TV works great. Turns on and off silently, our old one didn't. Picture has depth and clear picture.

Needed to replace a 46” but they don’t make ‘em anymore! Didn’t want to downsize to 43” and was afraid the 49” or 50” would not fit on my TV console. Was pleasantly surprised that the Samsung 50” actually did and was far lighter than my previous set. Easy to assemble and start using right away.

I've had 4 Vizio TVs for the last 8 years, but I finally decided to try a Samsung to match my love for Samsung phones. The picture quality is great, the streaming apps are better than the Vizio Smart Cast on my last TV (which barely lasted a year) and the screen mirroring feature from my Android to the TV is incredible. The only issue I had was the refresh rate, which is only 60 mhz, I think. So we had to adjust the picture settings so the screen would flow more smoothly. Now I have no complaints.

After getting two Samsungs with inoperative source selection functions, this TV has worked exactly as advertised. The sound is very good for a modest bedroom that I use for a hobby room. The picture is very good for cable, DVD and home done and commercial VHS recordings.

Great TV for cheap! No reason to spend 1000s of dollars for a quality TV anymore. Clean and clear picture!

These Samsung 50" class are a dying breed, but this one has been running just fine for our application. Great picture, looks good on the wall. It is getting hard to find 1080p TV's anymore...

Far superior to the Vizio set I had before, as to both picture and sound.

Bought this online as open box item. Arrived fast and in good condition. Way easy setup. Recommend using sound bar to boost audio.

we are using this tv in a mother-in-law suite that is mainly for visitors It is not hooked up to cable but will get netflix and amazon prime so it works great for them

Samsung has always made a very high fully television. Can ever go wrong with the products, especially this television it’s price point.

Purchased for the Smart TV feature. Beautiful picture and easy set up. Never disappointed in the Samsung products.

Great TV, good picture and sound. The "smart" programming in this TV is fast and reliable. Samsung has the best variety of apps, including hbo now which was a huge selling point for me. Only negative I had was Netflix would sometimes not open, but that appears to be fixed after the last TV update.
