    My 2009 Samsung 32" died on me 8 years to the date of purchase. I thought, "how odd is this?!...maybe this is a sign?!".. Anyway...I knew I needed to buy one but had limited funds to do so. I figured I would get a 36" but that size is obsolete so 40" was my next best option. Mind you the idea of owning a 50 was SO BEYOND my framework of thinking. I did however indulge myself by checking out the 50".... even if for a brief moment. Well, would you know?...that "sign" I mentioned, was real! ..I went through A LOT headaches in an attempt to stay within my budget, that I almost lost my mind!...After all the drama of my "open box" nightmare that came with missing parts, poor packing,and a huge damage to screen (mind you this was OPEN BOX EXCELLENT--GEEK CERTIFIED), the out of stock on the replacement of the tv, and a list of other issues, I ended up with the 2017 Smart model and FAR below my budget and retail cost of tv. This new model has a newly designed stand to prevent from tipping over. The Eco Sensor feature or Micro Dimming, adjusts to the light in the viewing room. The color, the picture, the overall fluidity of the TV is really beautiful. Maybe its the artist in me, but it flows as you use from one function to another. My old tv never did this all. It is very intuitive and intelligently designed. I would not recommend putting this TV together alone. It is possible and even though it is rather lightweight for a 50", I would have preferred someone to assist in the final stage of standing up the TV. I was SO afraid I would accidentally touch the screen that I seriously took my time and used my resourcefulness to prevent any damages. After the open box fiasco, I was determined to KEEP this tv. Overall, I am happy and very grateful for the "nightmare" experience because I would not be able to afford this TV! VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!

    " NOT A BLUETOOTH T.V. " NEEDS ADAPTER ACCESSORY.

    I had purchased a 50 inch SHARP smart t.v, but then cancelled the order because i also wanted bluetooth included. Best Buy advertised this with the words " BLUETOOTH ENABLED" " YES" in the t.v. specifications, so I paid the extra cash so I could use my JBL bluetooth headphones with this t.v. NOT GONNA HAPPEN, According to GEED SQUAD, Samsung sells a "soundbar" as an optional accessory, which will controll the audio output to Samsung bluetooth wireless headphones or other Samsung accessories.... THAT SUCKS,,,,, also, I cannot seem to program my directv remote to controll the t.v.,,,,,requiring two remotes........ THAT SUCKS also.. should have bought the cheaper, better sharp t.v. which would have done the same as this thing.

    I had the same spec Samsung for less than two years and it worked great until it was hit by lightening. I got this one 7/16/18 and returned it 7/21/18. Issues: 1) Sound cut off several times and had to power down to fix it. 2) Refresh rate was slow. 3) Dark colors were skewed. 4) The picture was very artificial and bright. Faces did not appear natural. I tried all of the picture settings and nothing worked. Very disappointed it because I've had Samsung TV's since 2005.

    Great quality, just like you'd Expect from Samsung. It has a great picture, color quality is excellent, sound is great as well. Originally purchased the Westinghouse 40" w DVD, and it only took 1 second to decide we must return and exchange for this Samsung instead. I knew better, I will ONLY purchase Samsung from now on. Drastically different in pic and sound. And the Smart features are getting better all the time. This is a very nice set, yes, I would recommend.

    Sound interruptions, won’t update software and had to have usb sent to me to update, search function won’t work, names for sources won’t edit so all say unknown. My customer service experience with Samsung has been awful, especially since the TV is only 3 months old & under full warranty. Weeks of phone calls and nothing has worked. I have even been hung up on! Finally complained to the management level to get a repair and still having same issues. Supposedly am getting an authorization for refund.

    I bought a 40 inch Samsung tv from best buy a couple of years ago which I loved. I decided to go a little bigger with a 50 inch and I love it! The picture is so sharp and clear. The color is rich and vibrant. It's very easy to navigate the menu and setup was a breeze. All of my favorite apps are available on this tv. Another plus is that I got it on sale at a great price! I'm very happy with this purchase!

    I’ve had lots of Samsung TV’s over the years and never experienced problems until this one. It stops responding to the remote control until I turn it off. More than once it won’t even respond to turning off when I press the button on the set. Very frustrating. When using Roku, if I pause the picture the lips won’t sync when playing, again, until I leave the show then restart.

    It’s unbelievable how inexpensive (and actually better) televisions have gotten over the past few years. This 50” tv has an excellent 1080 picture and it was only $300! It is perfect for my application as a second tv in the basement. I’m not sure how this tv would fair in a sunlit room as I’ve had previous issues with Samsung’s in this regard, but you’ll be hard pressed to find a better tv for the price.
