Inexpensive TV for a living room
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV for my living room to replace a CRT TV. I have a 2016 Samsung 4K TV in my bedroom and this 50” model is an upgraded model with the same great picture quality and ease of use.

Entry level TV, apps and side view lacking
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned Samsung and LG TVs in the past. Each had great front and side views meaning that you did not lose color when viewing from the sides of the TV. This TV loses no matter what setting I use to curb that from happening. Also, while there are some very nice apps available, I have noticed some that I have used before are missing and unable to be downloaded. I fixed that by getting a Fire Stick from Best Buy. It works fantastic with my TVs. I have also noticed that some user adjustments are lacking with this TV. Overall, Samsung has sunk to the quality of standard generic in this department. The TV is good, but it is definitely entry quality with nothing really exciting to talk about. Accepting that I did not pay a fortune for the TV, I can't say that I am overly satisfied or dissatisfied. Some of the good points are the color presentation and its stability on its stand. Volume is very good. I would like to be more comfortable with recommending this TV, but if I had to do it all over again, I would look into something a bit more advanced and capable

Great purchase!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv was purchased for our Master bedroom. The picture quality is very good and we like the simplicity of using or adding apps. I also really love the Bluetooth feature and use it both with our Samsung soundbar or wireless earbuds if someone is sleeping. Availability of the Spectrum app for streaming is a plus. My two complaints are the remote...it’s good overall and can also operate the soundbar BUT there are many more buttons than on our QLED remote and it’s not backlit. Trying to operate it in the dark can be frustrating. And secondly, the sound on the tv alone is a little underwhelming. You’re definitely going to want a soundbar or speaker system for movies.

Super picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv definitely exceeded my expectations. The picture and colors seem to jump out of the screen. Could not believe the great price on top of that. I would recommend this purchase to anyone. Love it.

Great picture!

Great definition
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the definition on this TV. My only issue is about the remote control. It's very sensitive, so when I press a button it skips one or two channels. Other than that, it's a great addition to my house.

Great smart tv for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was super easy to set up, i wish the color was a tad brighter, but i also have a really dark living room, so that's kind if my fault. Other than that, i love it. I went from a tube tv to this so its still 110% improvement. Great picture, easy set up. Overall im extremely happy with it.

Disappointing
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to get this TV because of all the glowing reviews saying how great it was and how easy it is to use, but when I turned on my unit, I couldn't be more disappointed. Bear in mind that I have only had the TV for an hour. Pros: 1. Contrast is quite good when viewed from straight on. 2. Popular apps Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video have their own dedicated buttons on the remote, making switching to them very easy. 3. You can control the TV with your phone (I haven't tested on non-Samsung phones) 4. TV recognizes your connected devices and renames them in the menu so you don't have to guess which input is connected to which device. 5. Samsung support can remotely connect to device over the internet to troubleshoot. Cons: 1. The remote I got was defective, with the down button often getting stuck, and having to be massaged out. Already a bad start. The button layout is not the best, with the settings being relegated to a tiny button in the bottom corner. 2. The menus are very frustrating to work with. Many options are grayed out with little to no information as to why they are. To add to that, the picture display options are just named: "Dynamic, Standard, Natural and Movie". There aren't any descriptions telling you what exactly Dynamic or Natural does. Are they just color profiles or do they also affect the image quality by sharpening and so on? 3. HDR is abysmal to say the least. First, there is no indication of when the TV switches to HDR (and you can't enable or disable this manually, as they removed the option from the settings). Then, when HDR is active, the colors appear more washed out and there are sometimes greenish colors in the sharp gradients from light to dark. The TV also doesn't get bright enough, and the colors display completely wrong if HDR comes on in Game Mode. Honestly, this was the dealbreaker for me. 4. Viewing angles are not great. The colors deteriorate (although not by too much) as soon as you move away from a straight on view. There is also a significant loss of contrast if you view at an angle. Not suitable for hosting parties. 5. You'll either love or hate the UI. Coming from an LG TV, the Samsung UI seemed a little cumbersome. This isn't made easier by the uncomfortable button layout on the remote. Maybe using the Smart Things app should help with this.

Great picture!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Old tv went out on us so here we are. This tv has a great picture and well worth the price. I looked at other reviews before I purchased. Over all, it is worth the price if you are looking for a new 4k tv.

Perfect everyday TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this on Father’s Day and have not regretted it once. We have a Q6F in the basement for movies and honestly I have a hard time telling the difference since they are not next to each other. We were able to eliminate our AppleTV box since it has the AppleTV software built in. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a good all around TV, particularly if you use an AppleTV so you can eliminate your remotes!

Great picture!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaced a 40” Samsung which had a screen that was going out. The picture quality is great, and the color is spectacular. This is our first Smart TV and it was easy to connect to our WiFi.

Great television
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this television for my mom this Christmas to replace her 10 year old “smart” tv. It was easy to set up and the picture is vibrant. Also, apps are plentiful and easily accessible.

Wow, 120Hz Refresh Rate is really noticeable!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very pleased with this HDTV. Great bang for the buck - lots of decent features at a relatively low price. Color and picture are very good, and there numerous settings and configurations. Preloaded apps for Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc, and many others, is very convenient. BUT - the one thing that really gets my attention is the 120Hz Refresh Rate. Essentially, lots of programs and movies look like "live" broadcasts, due to the smoothness of the screen images. So cool. Also, I decided against buying an Ultra HDTV, and stay with standard HDTV, for now, until streaming and cable tv catches up. Very happy with this television, no complaints and no regrets!

Love Samsung
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Added this tv to master bedroom; planning to get a much larger TV for living room which will be a Samsung 82” + size; I wanted to wait and move my 47” to bedroom but looking at the short term this tv is a better tv then my 10 year old Samsung which I love; so for a much lower price and higher end I broke down and pulled the trigger for my girlfriend. Yes there are higher end Samsung TVs; but you can’t beat the price for a nice tv for a second or third tv. The reviews I read mostly we’re about the remote; which is small and you tend to hit the wrong button. It would be better if it lit up so you can see it better in the dark. Stick with Samsung. Yes they should pay me.

Great mid level TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a gift for my son and he likes it. Good picture and features for the price. I would call this mid grade so you could get cheaper but it’s fair for the money.

Great Tv
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV and I must say has a fantastic picture. It was easy to set up, also works well with internet. When I hook an external antenna you get local channels, and also get some channels from the internet. Does take a short learning curve as does any new product, but it it very easy.

Awesome tv!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has a beautiful picture, easy to use, and the app works great! Sometimes the tv won’t connect to the internet and it has to restart. The volume button on the app also doesn’t work. Those are minor things though, it’s a great tv to have for movies, shows, background noise, and gaming.

A great tv for the price I paid
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv was easy to set up. It is light weight with a great picture. It ties into my WiFi perfectly allowing me access to Net flicks and Amazon. I might get a second one for our bed room.

Great options for low cost
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my 8 yo tv with this great tv. It's not the newest, fanciest tv out today. My needs are basic. I can stream, search internet, watch youtube, and use a wireless headset. I have a whole house mesh wifi system so the coverage is good and needed. I found this tv, closer to router than tv downstairs, did not buffer. The remote for the tv is compact and small. There are not a lot of input options on the back of the tv so my dvd player is too old for connection. The speakers on the tv face down so you may want a soundbar to project out. The tv is light weight compared to the previous tv so mounting it on the same wall bracket was a breeze.
