I've been a Samsung HDTV user in my house since 2006. In fact, I'm still using the SAME Samsung HDTV in my house today! Purchased this one to create an additional entertainment room in the house and have not been disappointed. Vibrant colors...sound is good (everyone says you need a soundbar for Samsung TVs, but the regular output works fine for me), excellent value! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the length of time downloading apps and such...but this was my first "smart" TV...so I'm catching up on the curve.

The picture is fantastic but the sound is low. I hadn’t planned on buying a sound system but it was necessary however it’s enhanced the experience so much I don’t mind a bit. The one thing and in my opinion it’s a big one is the the little stand legs suck. In the land of earthquakes this is a busted screen waiting to happen.

Great Tv for the price, Laggy menu performance.

This is a great tv however the processor seems to be a little slow. navigating through different menus feels very sluggish and laggy. For the price it has great picture quality and acceptable sound. After a year and a half, the display is losing power intermittently. Every 30 seconds to a minute the screen goes almost completely black, then the sound cuts out and the screen does completely black. After a few seconds everything seems to power back on. It definitely seems to be a hardware issue with getting power or signal to the display panel. I am 7 months out of my warranty so the best Samsung could do for me was to give me a phone number of a local repair shop. Giving 4 stars - Given how laggy the menus are, I would rather buy the same TV without any smart features and pair it with something like a roku or apple tv. I won't rate lower because of the repair issues I'm having. Hopefully this is a unique issue.

I have only had this tv for a few months but it has been a good tv so far. The color is great and has very little ghosting. It was easy to set up and I like the smart apps. This replaced an older tv with a higher refresh rate that seemed to ghost a lot. The only reason I haven’t rated it a 5 is due to short time of ownership.

This is my bedroom TV that was a last minute thought. I'm surprised how much this TV does and the picture has amazing quality. Very well priced and worth more then what I paid. It has an Alexa app which is great for my house because we have Alexa in every room. Then to set up the TV I did everything from my phone which is also Samsung so that made the process easy.

Love this tv! Bought this to go in the game room of my new house. Easy to set up and the picture is terrific. Of course, most tvs now include all the streaming services. Samsung tv also has access to a number of channels that do not require subscriptions. Additionally, I can use my iPhone and Apple Airplay to mirror whatever I have on my phone screen.

I am very pleased with this device. It was easy to setup. The onscreen setup walks you through the whole process. The graphics and picture are incredible even when I watch an old TV show. There are built in apps and there are free apps you can download. Plus I can sync with other Samsung devices. This is the fourth Samsung TV and I'm never disappointed.

I always buy Samsung tv's. This is by far the best one yet. The picture quality is AMAZING. Also, I was originally going to purchase the series 7, but for $50 more, I bought the series 8 as you don't need cable wiring or a cable box. Plug it in, connect to your home internet and then to Netflix, Hulu, Xfinity, etc. That's it! I highly recommend this tv.

One month and the set is working well. Was fairly easy to set up. Third HDMI port hard to use (and find); confusing with optical sound input. Samsung software, advertising still a problem to delete. Overall, very good picture, above average sound (when I am not using Samsung sound bar).

So far I'm loving this TV. I've only used it for streaming but the picture pops! Great sound and it was no effort at all to set up in my bedroom. Voice commands work well with my 'raspy' voice. I have an XBox, DVD and I also stream my pictures and video from my DSLR and GoPro. So far not any issues. One day I may turn the live TV but for now I'm happy streaming!

Very happy with this TV for my bedroom so far. Great colors and sound - again, this is for my bedroom so there is no peripheral/extraneous equipment hooked to it, and i don't plan on doing anything else to it. Smart TV interface is easy to work and the voice remote responds when required. I'm not a technophile, so this TV is everything I need.

Easy set-up via quick start instructions. TV provided self-guided set-up when powered on the first time. Remote will take some getting used to and will need to review functions of the TV more. Nice picture for this, our 2nd TV in the home. Sticking with our Samsung plasma TV as main viewer.

I wanted a smart TV for our bedroom. We like to watch TV before going to sleep. I have purchased several Samsung TVs so it was just a matter of what size. It hooks up easy and all the apps to our favorite streaming programs are there. We haven’t used a DVD player in years. We cut the cord in 2016 and with Samsung TVs we don’t miss cable. And can’t beet the price.

My actual rating is 4.5. At the time of purchase I ordered a 43” Series 7 and a 50” Series 8. I had to wait 10 days for the Series 8 because my store was out of stock. The Series 7 was sent to my son out of state. So I don’t have the ability to compare the 2. According to the sale rep the only differences was the 8 had additional USB connection and some gaming enhancements, so I opted for the lower priced Series 7 for him. I’m a senior and I’ve been able to get all my previous TVs setup by just following the instructions. I found the Series 8 to be a challenge when trying to program FIOS with the remote. After trial and error I realized I had to select reset option from the TV’s menu to get all the FIOS HD channels to download. Now I can control both using the TV’s remote. I would have appreciated if the sale rep had demonstrated this at the time of purchase. I love the picture quality The flesh tones are realistic, the sound is good and it’s a good size for the room. You can connect your gaming apps, PC and other devices (not a concern for me). Other than the initial setup challenge, I really like the TV. After I get to compare it to the Series 7 I will determine if it was worth the price difference .

Great upgrade for me. I had ordered another TV and it was smaller than I had realized. I had no clue that 48" were no longer available. When I got this TV, it fit my stand perfectly and supplied a better picture. I had my last TV for 3 years and needed a new one. My only complaint would be the minimalistic remote. It took a minute to get used to.

Always remember when you buy a tv it’s like buying a car you get what you pay for. The tv performs good through the bixby operating system basically the same operating system you get in the higher end Q led TVs. This tv is not a Q Led set the color is average. The picture is smooth and sharp you have to shut off all the picture motion settings to get rid of the soap popper affect. One thing I’ve noticed is if you hook up streaming players like the fire stick and Roku the picture is soft and artificial looking through hdmi ports. I watched YouTube 4 k videos Netflix Amazon prime 4 k. I was bothered so much I almost thought that the tv was faulty. So I thought for a few minutes and tried using the apps off the tv itself and the picture is way better from the tv apps versus the streaming players. Now this tv seems to perform well with gaming systems and over the air tv. This tv doesn’t have the deepest blacks it’s good for the price. The tv also has some upscaleing features in it. Bottom line good for value. You get what you pay for.

The Samsung TV I think is the best product on the market. I currently own 3 of them and wouldn't even consider buying any other brand. The picture quality and color is next to none. In fact, I bought this same TV, three years ago and just gave it to my Granddaughter and it displays as well now as it did the day I got it. You can't go wrong with Samsung.
