After watching tv & movies from an older 42” 480p TV, this purchase was necessary. I couldn’t wait to get this TV out of the box, set up & start watching as soon as I brought it through the door. As soon as everything is put together, plugged in & powered on, step-by-step setup begins. We were able to start watching within minutes. Picture quality is amazing! Sound quality is pretty decent - I’m the type of person who prefers external speakers & surround - and I am pleased to hear & watch this TV!

Incredible picture and really easy to set up. Not a fan of the incredibly small remote though ...

Nicest TV I’ve ever owned. Probably does things I’ll never even know about. What I need it to do, it does well and did not need a team of engineers to set up. My only complaint is the remote. In short - it sucks. Has very limited capabilities and is generally a pain in the butt to use. I absolutely HATE this stinking remote!

I love it. I've always used Samsung products when it was practical. I think the picture is as good as televisions that cost hundreds of dollars more. Plus, when connected to the internet, there are many, many channels for free. Some are weird, but most are pretty good. The sound is clear I wish it would have a little more volume. I do have it connected to a 4K receiver. The sound is awesome.

This 50” Samsung TV is wonderful! No complaints here...only compliments. :) Beautiful picture! Nice sound! Pretty easy setup!

Purchased this 8 series 50 inch after another Samsung purchase (a 43 inch 7 series in April). It is a huge leap compare to the 7 series. Much smoother OS, and much speedier. The smart remote is simple and minimal, without the normal clutter of buttons which most of us will never use. Mounting on the wall is a one-man job, since it doesn’t carry any unnecessary bulk. 3 HDMI is a good option compare to only 2 on the 7 series. Added a HW-N400 TVMate Sound bar, and it sounds even better. GREAT buy for the price of the TV.

We love this TV! Great color, easy to install, and many features. Replaced a much smaller TV so the 50" size is wonderful!

IMO, you can't go wrong with Samsung tvs. We have 3 of them and none are disappointing. They are easy to setup and work as expected!

This is the second Samsung TV purchased in the same year- one for the living room and one for the basement. I was happy to have found this TV on sale both times I purchased it. I reviewed many TV's and found that this is a strong choice for picture quality and speed, especially for the price. A sound bar was recommended, but so far there isn't a need for it. I had a Samsung for 12 years before switching to my first smart tv; the old Samsung still work which builds my trust with this brand.

Great picture. Was an easy setup. Works well for gaming on XBOX. Excellent quality. Love Samsung. Definitely recommend it.

I love this TV! The picture is clear and it is easy to stream movies, etc. Adding new apps is a breeze and the price is right!

Picture Quality excellent, Operation easy, Sound a little weak when using only the TV speaker

I was looking to upgrade to a smart 4K television without breaking the bank and after looking at several reviews I decided on this model. So far this television has been great. Smart features are easy to use and the picture looks great. I debated paying more for the quantum dot televisions with faster refresh rates but they are still more than I wanted to pay. I’m very happy I went with this model as it does everything I need and looks great. I play PS4 a lot and it also looks great on this television.
