Beautiful Picture but Sound Needs Improvement

This feature lives up to the Samsung reputation. I did not like the feet because I did not have a large enough place for it to stand. I later purchased a pedestal stand and am happy with this stability. The sound is never loud enough for me and I have to increase the volume to what seems an unusually high level. About two weeks ago the sound would stop completely for about 10 seconds at a time. This happens when the tv has been on for about an hour. This happens intermittently during the remainder of the time the tv is on and is most annoying. I use the closed captioning feature and it continues even though nothing can be heard.

Good value TV

Picture quality is decent and easy to see in a well lit room. Extremely thin bezel is nice. Like most modern flat panel TVs, sound quality and volume is pretty lacking. We added a soundbar. The app selection, including local TV stations is exceptional.

It is NOT the inches it claims
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For the people who do not know this and may find it misleading like I did, 50 inches is 43 inches in reality. Why? Because they measure it across instead of side by side. So be aware that if you buy a Samsung TV (not sure if every brand) you have to substract around 6 inches of what it claims to be. Overall the TV is great, it feels very light, the graphics quality and sound are very good.
