Bought this one to replace my 12 yrs old Samsung 46". Great TV; easy to connect and program. Smart TV with wifi and I did not have any problem setting up at all. Overall it took about 1 hour with two persons to carefully lift it out of the box and place on the shelf If I have a wider shelf, I would have bought a 65" class instead

I have purchased a Samsung series 6 and 7 TV in the recent past but this new TV is far superior. The picture quality is fantastic. The TV is easy to set up and the smart apps available make this TV worth the price. In my estimation, there is no reason to spend more money for a more expensive product. I highly recommend this TV.

Awesome TV, excellent value. Great picture quality, excellent sound (surprisingly good for built-in speakers). It works beautifully with the Samsung soundbar and subwoofer 2.1 kit. I'd give it 5/5 stars, but I'll dock a half-star each for two items: 1) There's some sort of spammy Gordon Ramsay cooking show that for some reason always pops up when a source input disconnects. It's like turning off your Blu-ray player and broadcast TV kicks in, except it's always Gordon Ramsay yelling at people. I wish I could make that go away forever. 2) Samsung remotes apparently all work with all Samsung TVs, which means that since we have more than one Samsung TV in the house, we'll accidentally adjust each others' volumes or turn off TVs in two different rooms, depending on where the person was when using the remote. Really frustrating when it happens.

10/22/20 We just finished setting up. Unquestionably the easiest I've experienced. The system is intuitive and simple. We have Fios, pick up the que and integrated immediately. We replaced a 50" Vizio, which when purchased, was exceptional. Samsung has made a loyal customer. Sound, clarity, color, and ease of navigation has been great. We've had the patio blinds open, closed, and partially closed. All scenarios, the system responded and/or maintained precisely. The remote is very nice and easy to navigate. I've read many reviews prior to purchasing, I'm not sure what some of the reviews criticism is honestly. Now having been through the process. It's not a Qled, but for a midrange set, Do it, you won't regret it. We're very pleased. BTW, took the set home in a Toyota Camry. Fit perfectly in the rear on the floor upright.

I think the tv is great. I like the picture and sound. I am a little concerned because after only three weeks of having the tv it wouldn’t turn on by remote or by the tv itself. I had to google what to do. Thank god I found a solution that worked. I had to unplug the tv from the wall and hold the power button down on the tv for 10 seconds. After i plugged it back in I turned it on by the remote with no issue. It hasn’t happened again, but it’s only been a week.

Love this. It’s like combining a computer with your tv U have so many app choices Makes it easy to navigate between apps. Playing pictures or videos from your phone on the screen is super easy. I wish the remote would light up. I can’t see the buttons in the dark. Only thing I would enhance

I have this tv mounted to the wall which makes my living room even bigger. Great features , which takes a day to getting used to. Overall great product especially for the price.

GOOD: The picture quality on this TV is very good, even watching regular HD (1080p) cable broadcast. I'm watch a lot of sports and there's no noticeable motion blur when watching hockey or basketball. Images are very sharp and colors are vibrant. Setup was quick and easy. BAD: At an angle of more than approx. 30 degrees from center, the far third of the screen appears a fraction dimmer/shaded. It's only noticeable if the whole screen has the same image (e.g. a hockey rink) so not a dealbreaker, just a tradeoff for choosing less than top of the line and the reason I only gave 4 stars. I have not watched 4K material yet.

I haven’t owned this tv for very long, but so far, so good. The picture is crisp and color good. I bought the tv for my bedroom and enjoy it every night. The remote takes getting used to, as it is very small and compact, so I mainly use my cable box remote.

I love this TV. I'm not a hardcore techie. I know just the basics. But this is what I love about this TV. When you press power button TV loads in 3 seconds. The remote is very sleek and modern. Apps are customizable(can move or delete from home screen) so your home menu looks very clean. You can add source items into your home menu. So my PS4 button is next to my netflix button on my home menu. I added the samsung sound bar and rear speakers. It really enhances the 4k tv experience. If you get samsung sound bar then you can use the tv remote to control soundbar. I hate using like 4 different remotes. One less remote is such a luxury. The cons... netflix and prime buttons are permanently on remote. Ive pressed by mistake several times. Manual doesn't explain all features. You kind of need to google and learn through trial and error. Overall I would highly recommend. Great video quality and great price.

I'm a fan of Samsung products. I loved my 9 year old Samsung TV. Unfortunately it quit working and I needed a new TV. I knew I wanted another Samsung but not sure which model. Do I go with an older model to save some money or do I go for a new model? Should I go with the entry level or a higher end version? I read some reviews and knew that the entry level models didn't have the features I was looking for. I chose the class 8 model. I checked it out in the store and thought it looked pretty awesome. I got it home and unboxed it and right away found that the legs were too far apart to fit nicely on my corner TV stand. It fit but was somewhat precariously sitting there. Ended up ordering a center mount stand that attached to the Vesa mounting pattern. Worked perfectly but cost me a little more money. At least it was cheaper than a new TV stand! I really love the tiny bezel. It's virtually all screen. I replaced a 46" model with a 50" model and it's virtually the same size but I get a bigger screen. I have 4 other Samsung tvs but none are 4k nor do they have the Smart Tizen platform. This platform is very similar to an LG TV I have. Its rather intuitive. Seems to react quickly to remote functions. The remote is kind of cool. I generally don't use the tv remote since my AT&T TV remote works very well. I do find myself using this remote often. I like it but if you're one who likes number buttons, it's not for you. The remote is kind of similar to a Firetv stick remote. The setup went pretty smooth. I have it connected to my AT&T TV box, a blu-ray player and my home network so I can watch movies and listen to music. It seemingly had a little trouble identifying my Samsung blu-ray player. Odd since they're both Samsung products. Eventually it worked out. I also connect to my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus. It seems to connect much easier than my older tvs thank goodness. It's easy to screen mirror (Smartview) with this tv. The thing I was most excited for was seeing that awesome picture quality. I really wanted to see how it would do with some larger resolution pictures I have on my phone. 4k movies look pretty amazing. My pictures from my phone look better than on other tvs I own. I'm happy about that. The reason I docked it a star is that it seems like when watching non 4k content, the picture is almost whitewashed. I'm not really sure how to explain what it looks like. I've changed the mode to use Vivid which I thought would make colors pop but its almost like the white balance is out of whack. I've adjusted some other settings and its helped a little. Sometimes I end up taking it out of Vivid mode because its too white light looking. Not super thrilled about changing picture mode when watching different TV sources. Also I've noticed that I generally have to have the volume setting much higher than my previous TV. I could comfortably listen at level 5 from 15 feet away but now have to set it to level 10. I find that it also varies between the methods used for listening. Using at&t tv its quieter than streaming from an app in the smart platform. Seems odd to me. Another little quirk is using the remote for voice commands. Not all the time does it work correctly. Some of these things may be operator error I don't know. None of them are significant enough to steer me away from this tv. So far it's a keeper. I just hope it lasts and doesn't die on me in a few years.

What an amazing picture!!!! Words can't describe, except for upconversion. The price was unbeatable. You only need to plug it in and it does the rest for you. Lastly, there is zero lag on sports. Refresh rate is untouchable.

We got this tv because it was on sale and think Samsung are superior in quality to lg. (We have both). We put this one in our bedroom and actually got a center tv mount because the legs on this one were too wide for our dresser. The quality is amazing, very vivid and bright. A couple things I’d change are 1, the remote. It’s small and lacks some buttons I’m used to, also very touchy. 2, the home screen is a little hard to navigate, and is different from our 2016 Samsung tv, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. I think this series tv is worth the buy, overall.

super sharp picture. With a thin frame making the size fit my space. I was lass impressed with the android operating system, but probably just not used to the syntax. I've not yet been able to attach a hard drive to pause a show, but I didn't purchase the TV with that in mind. Very black blacks, excellent color and sharp contrast. I have an external sound system, so I haven't used the TV speakers or the Bluetooth connectivity. The set will shut off the device plugged into the ARC HDMI outlet if your not watching the TV. Like, say playing a CD. The viewing angle isn't as wide as my old set. Had to move seating to be centered in front to the set.

I upgraded my 10 year old 1080 HD TV to the new Samsung 50" Class 8 Series 4K UHD Smart TV with HDR and it has to have a built in computer (processor) to do everything it does. It is amazing what all this TV will do. It is very easy to set up without even reading the owners manual if you are a little tech savvy. You can connect to external speakers by Bluetooth, an Optical cable, or other means. The picture quality is great... sharp and clear. The remote is small with a very few buttons but it will do a lot. It works similar to a mouse on a computer by clicking on various options on the screen. My only complaint is I wish the remote was illuminated so the buttons would be visible in the dark. This TV is more than I was expecting. Love it!

If you get a sub $800 TV you're set is going to be bloated with ads and crap you probably wont use or watch. I don't use this TV for "TV", it's for a media set up. I have mulitple devices plugged in, which forces you to move through the slow menus to switch inputs. After a while I just hooked up an old receiver and plugged in a couple speakers so I could have the receiver plugged into one input and used it to control my devices. Features like Game Mode are hidden WAY down in the menus unrelated to picture.... This set has a lot of faults, but a lot of TV's do at this price range. That said, the technology behind the screen is top notch with great color depth and a very sharp image. It has SUPER low latency in game mode (~9ms) if you're a gamer, which is the lowest I've ever seen in a consumer TV. The HDR isn't the best representation I've seen, but most of what I run on it doesn't supper that technology anyway. The upscaling on older media is also very good. A 480p input looks sharp and crisp, as does 720p and 1080p. It's really very impressive. All in all, it's worth it and the best your money can buy in 2020 in this range of TV's. While there are some aspects I find highly annoying, the picture quality, ultra low-latency, and impressive upscailing more than make up for it.
