Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly I was probably going to be happy with any TV I bought because I was replacing an old 32-inch Samsung model with Full HD. I'm not any kind of AV authority, but I love the picture. Coming from a lower resolution, the difference is striking. The sound quality isn't exactly amazing, but for me it's perfectly adequate. My old TV had terrible sound and I had it connected to external speakers. This one has better sound and I didn't bother with the speakers this time. The new style remote is cool - it feels good in your hand and seems high quality. It's a little harder to figure out than the kinds with a lot of buttons, but once I got the hang of it I preferred it. My teenager felt the same way about it. The apps are a lot faster than on my older model. I had bought a Fire stick for the old one because the apps were so slow to load. One downside to this TV over my prior one is that this one will not play as many different types of video files. If you download videos, this could be a concern. I can't recall which ones don't work except MKV. On my old TV I could watch those from a usb drive and on this one I get an error. I got converter software to deal with this issue. In the end I decided not to keep this because I wanted a bigger model. I'd thrown out the box, so I sold it instead of returning it. I ended up replacing it with the 65-inch TU7000, which is nearly $200 cheaper than this one at the 65-inch size. The TU7000 and TU8000 have the same picture and sound systems, so the viewing experience is the same. The difference is that the TU8000 offers some features that are not included on the TU7000. For me, those extra features weren't worth the $170 plus tax: *The TU8000 has a nicer remote that includes a mic for voice control. The TU7000 has an older style remote that has a lot of buttons and no mic. I prefer the TU8000 remote, but it has a harder learning curve. I decided to just use my Fire Stick on the TU7000. The Fire Stick has a remote that is similar to the TU8000 remote, with fewer buttons and a built-in mic. *The TU8000 lets you use the TV in ambient mode, which displays art or photos on the screen when you're not using the TV. The TU7000 doesn't have that feature, but it doesn't really appeal to me, so I didn't mind giving it up. *The TU8000 has three HDMI ports and two USB ports. The TU7000 has two HDMI and one USB. I use HDMI for my Fire stick, DVD player, and cable box. I got an HDMI switcher for one port on the tv for $10. There is a difference between an HDMI switcher and a splitter (the splitter costs more, for one). Research these before purchasing. I don't need a second USB port, so that was fine.

Beautiful tech
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The image and refresh for gaming is superb. Picture is always excellent. The menu isn't too complicated, but did take some work to become familiar with features. It's thin enough to be completely unobtrusive with the right placement. The thing that struck me is in the initial setup the TV detected my roku and xbox1 automatically, set up the inputs, and programmed the remote completely automatically. Impressive, beautiful tech.

Mostly Happy Camper
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the 50 inch tu8000 a week ago. Had a lot of issues getting the settings where I wanted them. It took me 5 days of fiddling around and reading internet reviews to get the picture where I wanted it. The smart remote is kind of a nightmare to learn. I had to force myself to use it and learn it (mostly) . Kept my old style Samsung remote and used it heavily at first. The HDR is pretty much useless. Way too dark and off color. Regular 4K is very watchable. It upscales digital starter from unnamed ripoff cable company quite nicely. I am too cheap to pay the extra fees for hi def service. The new smart hub is nice. I still mostly use my older 4k Roku Premiere with it. The sound is good with tv speakers. I use standard audio with the equalizer tweaked to lighter on treble and heavier on bass. Dont push up the bass too much or the speakers will just buzz and rattle all the time. This is not a good set for someone who lacks the geek gene. They have made new tvs Much smarter than their owners. I am pretty happy with the unit now that the settings are dialed in. The positives far outweigh the negatives. I would buy another Samsung in a minute. This is my 3rd one.

Great TV; hits above its weight
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a second TV for my home office, and I have not been disappointed. My first TV is a top-end Sony, and although you’re never going to beat the Sony picture, the Samsung is mercifully easy to operate by comparison to Sony’s Byzantine and inconsistent menu system. The Samsung menus are reasonably “flat,” picture is good to great, and the only annoying thing was figuring out how not to have the TV, at the end of an Airplay music playlist, default loudly to Samsung Live TV. I did try digital reception with an antenna, and it does quite well. It’s also a very attractive unit aesthetically. So I think it’s a very solid choice, especially for the price.

Would purchase again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks really nice, you’re able to add/remove apps to main screen, and comes with free Samsung TV channels when connected to Wifi. Good price. So far the only issue I have had is with the TV not responding with remote, but I replaced the battery and it responded. I would like if it could go a bit brighter and if the speakers were not placed in the back because all the sound travels the opposite way. Speakers could be added to help with the sound though. Other than that, I recommend this TV. :)

Samsung 50”
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the picture quality of the new Samsung. Was easy to set up and looks really sleek in our living room. Don’t love the legs and you the screen can’t swivel, but the price was right.

Great buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.High quality TV at a very reasonable price delivered in 1 day !!! Only thing I would change is the 2 little feet they send for a stand. I ended up buying an aftermarket pedestal stand.

Excellent value/4K picture quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using this Samsung tv for about a month now and so far I’m very pleased with my purchase. Upgraded from my older Samsung lcd flatscreen, picture is notably brighter and crisper. Colors are vibrant and blacks look darker as well. Video games on my ps4 look awesome, user interface is pretty straightforward, and the apps seem to work well in my experience. Netflix and other streaming services that have 4K capability look great on this display as well. Overall would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a budget friendly led 4K television.

Died after 2 years
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv in February of 2021 and i loved the upgrade to a bigger screen, better picture and of course amazing sound. Unfortunately it didn't last as long as i had hoped, it started to not turn on properly. The screen would come on black and there'd be sound i did everything such as restarting it, factory reset and everything that was recommended. So now goodbye to this tv.

Many great features, but many have issues as well.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV quality is quite well. Fantastic image quality. The remote has several unnecessary buttons and several that should be necessary. Many of the features such as voice control, regardless of the one used, requires agreeing to terms that are NOT in your best interests. Avoid them at all costs. The same can be said for several online features. The power cord is rather short (shorter than my PC monitor), so an extension may be needed. The CPU is quick and control over internal features (video, audio, etc) are well done.

The Best TV for Cats!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THIS TV right here is the Deal Of a life time, fast boot up seamless connectivity to the consoles and my cat just loves watching his birds YouTube videos on it! It even comes with ur choice of a assistant Google,Bixby, Alexa it's so much fun! This TV truly is a wild card, my only downside is ITS SO BIG CAN'T FIT MY DRESSER but sacrifices have to be made. It's a awesome TV that packs a lot of bang for it's buck, I'm very familiar with the Samsung brand so it's great I can just screen share my zfold4 screen and photos over to the TV.

An Amazing Cheap Smart 2020 50" 8 Series Samsung
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our daughter needed a new tv so we studied as to what tv would probably be the best buy for her. We finally decided on the Samsung - 50" Class - 8 Series - 4K UHD TV - Smart - LED - with HDR. After a month of use I have to say that this TV has been more than what my wife and I were expecting from such a low cost TV. In fact it has gotten us interested in replacing our 65" plazma tv in our rec room with a new Samsung 65" Class - 8 Series -4K UHD TV - Smart - LED - with HDR with an added Samsung Sound System during the next sales event.

Nice TV!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Made the jump to 4K & am enjoying the choice made... My family & I have used Samsung products for a long time now. From our personal cell phones to our other tvs in our home & we have enjoyed the quality of the products for many years. We expect the same out of this newest purchase. Love the quality of the picture on this tv(Our other tvs are Samsung plasma tvs) and the ease of set up. I do wish they were less expensive but I did find an open box deal that got this tv under well under $500.00 out the door. Also the remote does take some getting use to. I would recommend this product to anyone...

Great TV for a Great Price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous TV died unexpectedly and I bought this one to replace it. I am not a fan of the remote (the matte finish or the lack of function buttons) but I do like that I only need one remote to control my TV, sound bar, and cable box as opposed to three. Great picture quality. Even without the sound bar, the sound from the TV is amazing.
