The new TV (AU8000) significantly improves on the TU8000. it is LIKE watching through one's clear window. It enhances the watching for TV shows, videos through the CPU, and overall visualization of the any content. The cons of the AU8000 is that (1) It is slightly smaller than the TU8000; (2) the audio is not as "loud" as the TU8000; and (3) inaccessible features on the remote. These cons suggest that the AU8000 is great for the video and ease of connectivity with a CPU. It was definitely worth the extra cost when added to the market value of replacing a damaged TV under warranty.

Thank you for sharing your experience going from the 2020 TU8000 to the 2021 AU8000. Your feedback regarding the overall volume and remote experience is important to us and will be shared with our product teams. There are several volume features you can enable/disable/adjust to your liking.
1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input.
2) Adaptive Volume automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source.
3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode
Also, some sources have their own volume control which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try cable connection again.
Please know that many of the buttons on your remote have multiple functions. For example, the Volume button is moved UP/DOWN to adjust volume, and to MUTE the sound, you need to PRESS it in. If that same button is pressed for > than 1 second, the Accessibility Shortcuts appears. Pressing the RETURN button (looks like a curved, backwards facing arrow) returns you to the previous menu, pressing it while watching a program will take you back to the previous channel.

Its just perfect for my room. The picture quality is amazing for the price. 4k movies are very enjoyable and the samsung chanels its a nice bonus for the tv. Highly recommend this product.

The quality is good but it constantly freezes and has to be unplugged to work again. Sometimes it will be working just fine and then suddenly the volume stops working and you can’t turn it up or down unless you unplug it and restart it.

No real manual was included but I got it from the Samsung website and it is long almost 200 pages. What I didn't like or get were the Vesa wall mount screws which I had to go hunting for, I mean really? Samsung couldn't include 4 screws, washers, and lock washers to mount their TV? Anyway, I found them at Advanced Auto Parts, 8mm X 12mm long, and also got 5/16ths inch washers and lock washers there. I couldn't bring myself to subtract 1 star for this because the TV itself is awesome! The sound from the speakers is good but I have a Samsung soundbar so mine is hooked up via the digital audio output and the sound is unbeatable! Delivery was right on time and I purchased the 5-year extended warranty after my 2-year-old LG died, lesson learned!

Samsung definitely has one of the best picture qualities. Sony is suppose to be better, but you pay a lot more for the Sony name. I’ve owned several Samsung TVs and they have lasted 10 years or better.

You can see the difference in picture quality of the 8000. Worth the extra hundred dollars difference in price.
