I had this tv for about a year before it started getting dead pixel lines. In hindsight, I should have returned it but it felt minor at the time. At some point there were dozens if lines and it fell out of warranty. Now the TV has outright died. I know tvs arent expected to last forver, but the whole reason you buy a “higher end” tv is so it lasts more than a couple years. Would not recommend, and probably wont purchase a samsung again.

You wont regret it. Im very please with this tv. Its just perfect for my room. The picture quality is amazing for the price. 4k movies are very enjoyable and the samsung chanels its a nice bonus for the tv. Highly recommend this product.

The images on this tv are sharp and clear with vibrant color. It was easy to set up. My husband hates the remote control, because it is super-sensitive, but otherwise we are enjoying it.

Beautiful picture and very easy to use. Samsung definitely has one of the best picture qualities. Sony is suppose to be better, but you pay a lot more for the Sony name. I’ve owned several Samsung TVs and they have lasted 10 years or better.

Excellent TV, beautiful image, and many options available. No real manual was included but I got it from the Samsung website and it is long almost 200 pages. What I didn't like or get were the Vesa wall mount screws which I had to go hunting for, I mean really? Samsung couldn't include 4 screws, washers, and lock washers to mount their TV? Anyway, I found them at Advanced Auto Parts, 8mm X 12mm long, and also got 5/16ths inch washers and lock washers there. I couldn't bring myself to subtract 1 star for this because the TV itself is awesome! The sound from the speakers is good but I have a Samsung soundbar so mine is hooked up via the digital audio output and the sound is unbeatable! Delivery was right on time and I purchased the 5-year extended warranty after my 2-year-old LG died, lesson learned!

Do NOT buy this television — or anything from Samsung’s AU8000 series. I purchased this model in May 2023. In just over a year, the TV began power cycling to a black screen. Samsung admitted it was out of warranty but offered a “one-time courtesy repair” — which tells you they know this model has issues. That repair lasted less than 12 months. In July 2025 — the exact same failure happened again, only worse: now the TV won’t even turn on. No power light, no sound, completely dead. Samsung’s solution? Cover parts only and make me pay hundreds in labor for a TV that’s failed twice for the same reason. That’s not customer support — that’s a company dodging accountability. This is a well-documented, widespread defect with the AU8000 series. Check Reddit, Samsung’s own forums, YouTube teardown videos, and other Best Buy reviews. It’s the same story everywhere: these TVs are built with cheap internal boards that fail early, and Samsung does not stand by them. I’ve spent countless hours dealing with support, writing formal complaints, and reviewing consumer protection law. The only thing Samsung responds with is legal evasion and PR-speak. A product at this price point should last years — not collapse twice in 24 months. Avoid this model. Avoid the AU8000 series. And frankly, avoid Samsung if you expect reliability or support after the sale. This was my last Samsung product.

Got it for a reasonable price on sale to replace a 7000 series that stopped working. You can see the difference in picture quality of the 8000. Worth the extra hundred dollars difference in price.

Great TV so far. Clear picture. My only issue is the remote has almost no features and tries to get you to do everything through Alexa which gets some getting used to. Thus the 4 stars.

Thin and light weight. Consistent picture to other Samsung 50". One of 3 for a driving simulator cracked, and this one, which was a different model, fit in seamlessly.

This is the latest in a line of Samsung TV's that I own. I was looking for a value 4K TV to use mostly as a monitor to Zwift on, but couldn't find one at a price point I wanted to spend. So I started looking at open box TV's. I found this one, re-taped, but with a clean, new looking box. Inside it looked like it hadn't been touched. Price was almost a 3rd off retail. I used this TV to replace the one in our den so the U7000 of the same size became my Zwift toy. The picture is noticeable better. I really noticed the difference when we used it with the X-Box One. Subtle little things like smoke and shadows stood out much better. Anyway I would tell anyone that I've had good luck with Samsung. I wish I didn't have to sell my soul to use it, their EULA is ridiculous, but so are all the other companies.
