I was very excited to get this TV. I opted to forego 4K for now and settled for this. The 55" is much nicer than the 32" I use for a monitor. The colors are brighter, images sharper and overall a great buy. ONE thing that caused me to remove a star from this review and it's nothing against Best Buy, but Samsung. The screws to hold the TV to it's stand are not the correct size and the TV wobbles. I am glad that I have an entertainment center that I have pushed together tightly to hold the TV in place or else the jiggle of walking across my hard wood floors might have jostled it. If you do a Google search you will find this is a huge issue with Samsung. Just note this when you buy it and spend a few bucks extra and buy your own screws, or attach to the wall.

I love this tv. I had a Samsung flat screen projection for 14yrs and it was still working good, but it was time to upgrade. Also, I couldn't pass up the sale price on this tv for a 55" smart tv. I didn't need the 4k 2060p and found this picture, sound & available options just as good. Set up could not have been more simple & the tv had rca jacks in the back to plug in my older model DVD player. I Love not having to buy a new DVD player when mine works great or having to buy adaptors to make it work...the DVD player is also a Samsung product. Loving this tv!!!

This Samsung 55" smart HDTV works as advertised. The great reviews on the website and on Amazon.com were on the mark. The picture is sharp, no action blurring, and the Smart TV portion works well. It was very intuitive to learn how to use the smart TV hub. The salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful, not pushy. The delivery people were also friendly and helpful. Overall, a successful buying experience.

I purchased this TV on Thanksgiving as part of their Black Friday sale. So far, I am very pleased with it. The picture is great, the size is perfect, and you can't beat the price! The only thing I wish was different is that it only has 2 HDMI inputs (my fault that I didn't notice before) and viewing options feel limited. Sometimes the colors look a bit off and I haven't been able to correct it. However, I love the screen mirroring, auto shut-off, and auto-backlight. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family. In fact I had my mom get the smaller 40" version for my brother for Christmas.

I had hoped to buy the Toshiba 55 inch on sale for Black Friday for $350, but it was sold out so after some research, I went with the Samsung. For the price on Black Friday online, this is a very good deal. It's not the absolute best picture around (there is some jigger, but at least the soap opera effect can be shut off), but it's mostly not noticeable. I think it really depends on the video source. I've played video games (The Witcher 3 on PS4) and watched HD cable television, and both display vivid colors. The size is great - I went from a 42 inch to this, and it really does fit my living room arrangements much better. Screen mirroring is a cool feature - works flawlessly with both my Windows 10 laptop and my Galaxy S6 smartphone.

I was given this tv as a gift and I have to day is the best gift ever. Samsung has always been my favorite brand when it comes to TVs, this 55 inch is big and picture is so clear and perfect. Loving the apps in it and the fact that I have the screen mirroring option. ;) Nice volume my room is not that big so it looks perfect and sounds perfect for my room, and no need to add a sound bar I can guarantee. I also read a previous review for this tv and I know I had the perfect Tv. If you are thinking of another brand or not sure maybe my review can help , you won't regret going for Samsung.

I received my TV a few weeks ago and since I have not been able to keep away from it, I am enjoying it to the extremes. I did some reacher before buying and compared to others but Samsung top the list. This is my second Samsung, the HD view makes me feels that I am part of the movie/program. I am a fanatic when it comes to TV watching and very happy that I got this model and specially this size.

Had been tracking this tv for a while as a second tv for the house, had recently bough a 55" Samsung curved 4kHDtV but did not want to spend that kind of money for a second TV. Although this one does not have all the feathers of the 4K it has a great picture, easy to operate and has good sound quality

This was a replacement for a SHARP model that had functional problems. We tried to work through the problems with the 1st unit. Finally call the Geek Sq, they were to get the rplmt part and send a tech out. Part no longer available! We arranged for delivery of another unit, same model, bad choice. On delivery day new unit had the same problem. Geek Sq covered replacement with a Samsung. No more problems. I highly recommend the Samsung, great TV.

Purchased this model while it was on sale for President's Day. Received an awesome discounted sale price. Original tv came with a defect in the screen. Took it back and received a replacement without any hassle. Unfortunately, the second model was also defective in a separate part of the screen. Called back and customer service was very helpful and apologized multiple times for the issues. Received third model and had it inspected in store. Third time is a charm! -- This TV has a beautiful picture and resolution and works perfectly in my living room. Have had no issues since bringing it home and the smart tv functions, including Netflix, are great and allow for expanded entertainment options.

I did a lot of research before I settled on this TV. I purchased it, because for the size and performance, I did not think i could do better in my price range (I got it massively on sale--maybe 200-250 of the sticker price). So far, I've been very happy with the TV. The two biggest issues are probably the glare and the time it takes the TV to get ready to go on the internet (1-2 minutes). The glare is not a big issue, because we can easily find lighting settings that minimize it. The time it takes the TV to go on the internet would be more frustrating if we didn't have the Roku 3. Since the two biggest issues are not big issues and the picture quality is high, this has been a great value for the money.

Overall, great TV for the price I paid. Bought a VIZIO 55" and wasn't happy with the picture quality and returned it for this Samsung. Very happy with the TV, but the SMART hub takes too much time to navigate through. For those that do not want to mount the TV, the stand is not the greatest and is only connected by two small screws. I did not mount mine, and had to secure it into the wall, just in case.

Purchased this TV December 2016 when my 9 year old Samsung started producing black racing stripes down the side of the screen. So far so good. I was a little leery of the newer 4K's being released and wanted a TV that had been in production for awhile. This TV has an excellent picture, does an excellent job with movies and sport programs. The smart tv aspect is a little sluggish at times but since I use it mainly for NETFLIX and Amazon PRIME, it doesn't bother me that much. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase.

We upgraded from a 40 inch Toshiba to a 55 inch Samsung. We had enjoyed our Toshiba for 4-5 years and we completely satisfied except we desired a larger picture. We had considered going into the latest 4k UHDTV but thought to stay with the 1080 HDTV instead. When we got the new Samsung installed the picture was absolutely amazing. Now when we look at our Toshiba it is surprising that we had been so happy with it as it pales in comparison to the Samsung. The only negative comment to make about the Samsung is it doesn't have a very loud volume range so it looks like we will be investing into a sound bar in the near future to enjoy a fuller sound when watching our action movies.

As many have stated, the picture quality is great! There is no need to change it out of the box. The price point, during Black Friday, was excellent. I paid around $529 for the TV. That's about where it ends for the Pros. The Cons are the stand, it doesn't swivel. Not a huge deal just more of an annoyance. The worst part of the Smart TV is the application Interface. It's terrible. It's not fluid, it's extremely limited on what's available, and it's tough to navigate. I've actually turned off the smart function and use a Roku device on it which essential defeats the purpose of a Smart TV. I kept it since it's a great picture quality and Price point for a 55" TV. If you're looking for a Smart TV, stay away from this TV.

We bought a smaller version of this same TV for a different room. We love the smart hub. We recently went to only streaming and free over the air TV. With the smart hub and wi-fi you get descriptions in a listing when you start to change channels so you can easily see if you want to watch regular TV or stream.

I bought this TV to replace a 5 year old Sony HDTV that I was very happy with. My daughter had a Samsung that I was blown away by and decided that I needed an upgrade. To quote my wife, "the picture is so dimensional" :) I am so happy with this product and recommend this unconditionally. Btw, I have 4 other Samsung Tvs and have never had a problem with them.

Was looking for a larger TV to replace my 40 inch Sony (about 4 years old). Been happy with Samsung in the past and that continues here. Nice TV, very good picture. Only knock might be on smart hub start up, seems to take about a minute before you can use the smart hub when you turn on the television.

Been using this TV for a month. Has a great picture. Color is good. The sound is like most flat screens. Attached my Boze speakers and now the sound is great. Love watching sports on the big screen. Used the apps that came with the TV. They work great. I would recommend this TV. Especially since it is $100 cheaper than when I bought it a month ago.

We already had the 65in. TV and wanted to buy another for our bedroom. This was a great purchase. We like the picture, which you can adjust to your liking. It only comes with one remote, unlike the 65in. I'm not a TV person anyway, my husband is, but I like the smart features that are available. I mostly go on Netflix & YouTube. Using the remote control is a bit tedious, so the casting feature on your smartphone is very helpful.
