I got this TV from an upgrade from a 10 yr old samsung LCD tv. I can't believe what I was missing. A huge improvement in technology. Super sharp pictures and outstanding in 4K. I love watching movies in blu ray upscaling in 4k. HD broadcasts is good too. I love it.

Bought this T.V. and have not regretted the purchase. Picture is as great as you would expect from Samsung TVs. 4K content does look great on it despite the minimal content out there. I primarily use Netflix (have to upgrade to the more expensive plan to unlock it), Amazon and youtube for 4K content.
Pros:
- The SmartHub( TV OS) is great and easy to navigate
- They have the most common apps out there that you would ever use
- Came with Plex integration and worked perfectly since i have a Plex Server
- Remote is backlit, intuitive to use and very responsive
- Display is clear and i do not regret going with the backlit LED as opposed to the cheaper 55" 4k model
- Games look great, havent had any issues with ghosting images during faster games
- Wifi performance is extremely good. Also has an ethernet port if you are fortunate to be able to hardwire it.
Cons:
- 2 person, maybe even 3 to help set it up. Not really a con, but something to be aware of
- Stand/base is a pain to screw in and attach. Do yourself a favor and attach the two pieces separately before attaching to the TV. Screws are so tight to turn, before even getting point where it is secure on the TV.
- Does not swivel. Not an issue for me, but maybe for others
- If you plug speakers into the external headphone port, be aware that you cannot adjust the volume via the remote.
- The sound quality of the speakers built in is not the best, but thats the price we pay for getting a slim TV. If you have a big room, you will need something more. I will be purchasing a Sound bar and sub setup.
- You may need to replace older HDMI cables. I had to buy a newer one to get my PlayStation 4 to work. Not a big deal and was expected.
- Netflix locked up on me one time and i had to power the TV off and then on again to unfreeze it. Has not happened since. With these TVs becoming smarter and more reliant on proprietary Operating Systems, be aware of issues like that.
- Cant really use my Harmony remote since the default remote has alot of buttons and features on it that are not intuitive to carry over on my Harmony. Not really a con but that's what my experience is.
End notes:
I really like this TV and so does the wife. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade. Try not to get swayed by the 4k vs 1080p debate. They are releasing more and more content out there and i am enjoying it. The other big discussion is Motion Blur vs not. my personal opinion is that while it looks impressive and makes it seem like everyone is real (soap opera effect), it kinda takes away from some movies. It can be easily disabled if you dont like it but is turned on out of the box.
Go buy this TV.

After researching tvs for a few days, I decided to stick with Samsung. My older tv and monitor are both Samsung and I have never had a problem with either. When I set the tv up I didn't notice the dead pixels at first. Pixels is a lenient word when describing it. After about 30 minutes of having the tv on while I was cleaning up the carton it came in, I saw the blue dots on the screen. There was a row of them of horizontally and a column of them vertically intersecting each other. I might have just dealt with it if not for the fact they were each about a quarter in size and shape. I can get over a few dead pixels, but this was just plain bad.
I took the tv back to the Best Buy store and after describing the blue dots, they agreed to replace my tv. I asked them to pull it out of the box and turn it on for at least 30 minutes before I took it out of the store. I wanted to make sure these spots didn't get burned in after a little use. I have seen monitors and lcd screens on laptops do this due to manufacturing defects. They were patient with me and did as I asked. The second tv was blue spot free. I am very happy with their service.
The tv itself is amazing; not only for the quality, but for the onboard apps. I have not seen anything color-wise or in the black range on the tv that I felt wasn't nice looking. Halo looks amazing on this tv. The colors when I am blasting alien scum just pop out.
I would have liked to purchase a bigger tv, but the 55" fits on my stand. I also have a sound bar and that sits perfectly under the tv without blocking anything on the screen because the tv stand is high enough.
Overall I am very satisfied with both Samsung and Best Buy. Manufacturing defects are going to happen any time you mass produce anything. It's how the company or store you buy from handles the return process is what matters in my opinion. Even if the second tv had a blue spot problem, I would have just looked for a different Samsung model and bought it at Best Buy.

I went to Best Buy to purchase a new Samsung TV after accidently breaking my Samsung during a move. The saleperson talked me into buying a Sony, despite my intent. It was indicated to me that Samsung TV'S in my price range were of lower quality and I would not get what I expected unless I bought a model over 2k. (And over 1k was not cheap) In any event, I purchased the Sony and returned it within a week, purchasing this Samsung. The picture is awesome, it was easy to set up, and the volume is internal unlike other brands. This model has an automatic adjustment that darkens or lightens the screen picture nased on the amount of ligjht in the room. This can be turned off with the televsion remote. I have not used any of the 4k Smart features yet and currently not much is available and will be in the future. The televison is flat and somewhat heavier than other flat screens brand, but not overly so. The casing comes in silver or black, and I chose black. However, it is more like a gray. Another feature is that the television will automatically go to the channel most watched when turned in the morning, which for me is the news. In other words I do not have to punch in the channel when I turn it on. I have purchased Samsung TV'S for years and I am not disappointed despite salespeople trying to sway me.

Read all the reviews prior, so new what to expect. Picture is truely amazing, has incredible clearity with a sense of depth- due to back lighting technology. Does have issue with motion freeze occasionally but good over shadows. Technology is cutting edge, so have to weigh what your getting for the cost. Color is also stunning. Best product out there, Like it Alot.

Bought this TV as an open box for $800 and at that price I have no complaints. The Nano Crystal technology makes colors look even better than any TV I've used before. Tried some 4K images and they look amazing! Have yet to try any games in 4K, waiting for my GTX 980Ti to arrive. So I can't say how games look in 4K, but after I get my new card I'll try to update this review. One thing I would be dissapointed in if I had paid more is the black colors. It's not the greatest with dark scenes. But at the price I paid I can't complain.

Light Bleed BAD - Went through 2 Units
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
We purchased this TV based upon a very good sale and the Samsung reputation. The light bleed was horrible on this unit. Best Buy did a wonderful job of working with us and we exchanged for another thinking it was a bad unit. The 2nd unit was the same way.
From what is normally heard about Samsung and their TVs, this is a very bad and hopefully unique representation.
For anyone that does not understand what Light Bleed is, I have included photos.... It's like flashlights pointing towards the picture from the edge lighting (mostly top and bottom in these photos). Changing some settings helped, but it did not eliminate this issue. It affects the overall contrast in the black colors of the picture.
The actual picture on this TV was great, but the dark colors and overall contrast are affected by this light bleed. If you watch movies at night or anything with the black bands top and bottom (like from a widescreen movie from a Blu Ray player), you will see this very bad light bleed issue.
We ended up going with a Sony 4K unit instead after returning the 2nd Samsung.

We upgraded to this TV from a LG 47LV4400, and WOW, what a difference! The picture is crystal clear, and the 4k upscaling works very well. I didnt expect the SUHD version to be that much better than the UHD version, but the colors are more vibrant than the UHD TVs that I saw in the store. I can stream content from my PC VIA Google Chrome, straight to the TV. Overall, this TV is a good bang for your buck.

I was amazed on the price for the TV since only being $4 dollars more then on line. I checked out the uhd 4 K and decided the price difference for the suhd is so worth it. Real easy to use no lag on my streaming from the wireless router. Great Buy was looking at the U shape TV which was more but the glare was too much

I compared several different 4k tvs before purchasing this one. of all the comparable models, the Samsung had the clearest, best looking picture quality. add in the smart features, and interactivity of casting from my phone, and tablet (also Samsung) without needing a separate dongle plugged in. this upgrade makes a world of difference. I am entirely pleased with the purchase.

This TV is amazing. The picture is great with video games, movies, and regular television. The speakers on the television work fine, but I bought the Samsung JW-550 soundbar from Best Buy as well to make it even better. The TV and soundbar connect so you can ditch the soundbar remote. The only reason this TV isn't 5 stars is because the remote is a bit outdated compared to the newer ones that act like a "wiimote". The picture is fantastic, but the OLED TV's by LG are a bit nicer. Other than that this is a great value TV.

I am totally happy with this TV. The picture is amazing and I love the smart features. I have another smart TV which came with a limited number of apps. This TV allows you go go to the Samsung App store and download a variety of apps. In addition to having beautiful, crisp access to my cable provider, I also have access to other stations via the smart apps and to an array of music apps. I am very pleased and would definitely recommend this 4k SUHD TV.

The picture has great definition, vivid color and is very natural looking. The nano-crystal technology delivers a truly great picture. Outdoor scenes and sporting events show great depth. While the sound is very good, I enhanced it with a Samsung sound bar. A great TV definitely worth the price.

I hated giving up my old Pioneer Plasma HDTV because of the great blacks and overall picture quality. My new Samsung 55-inch SUHDTV JS7000 has an outstanding picture and a much better color spectrum including great deep blacks and more shades of green, blue, and red. Many reviews report weak black levels, but my panel has uniform great black levels. The "smart" part of the TV is also the best I have seen and I was an early HDTV adopter (including Sharp, Pioneer, LG, Samsung and Sony) and it's the first one that has a smart feature that really works well and it's lightening fast. I bought this TV at Best Buy for $997 during Nov. 2015 making its pricing, at that time, at the top end 1080p HDTV level making it a no brainer to upgrade to 4K.

The TV was right sized for the bedroom. And with the satellite connection (HD) and Netflix streaming (UHD), what an excellent picture. Actors and Actresses better be good on sitting in makeup cause every stubble, blemish or hair color shows. Plus playing from the Galaxy Tablets to the TV so simple and so wow!
