The remote that comes with the set is very confusing . I've never seen a remote like this one. Can only get volume on Netflix by using Samsung remote to log on. Also, can't seem to get vcr to operate with anything.

Thank you for your purchase and feedback on the CU7000 TV. I have a few recommendations to help resolve some of the issues you are describing.
First, let's make sure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.
Next, regarding your remote, please keep in mind that many of the buttons on your remote have multiple functions. For example, the Volume button is moved UP/DOWN to adjust the volume, and to MUTE the sound, you need to PRESS it in. If that same button is pressed for more than 1 second, the Accessibility Shortcuts appear. You can find more information regarding the remote on pages 24-26 of the full user manual.
If you are connecting your VCR via HDMI, make sure you are on the correct source when attempting to access it. Go to Settings> All Settings> Source. I needed something quickly. I found this TV at a good price and it had great reviews. I was able to mount it using the pre-existing mount I had. It is crystal clear and great in the living room. I have had zero issues with it connected to a Samsung soundbar and subwoofer. I am very happy with this purchase, it is definitely good bang for the buck purchase.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just so you know “open box” apparently can also mean no box to Bestbuy. I received my tv wrapped in wads of air bubble wrap material. Then when I asked if the tv came with remote and power cable I was told it was not included which is what the tag on the tv said. Luckily I found the bag attached to it with both inside. The remote is very worn not at all near new condition and also not the original but more likely from another samsung tv (two of the main buttons dont do anything. Also the bottom area of the tv where the IR sensor and power button are located is dammaged not sure if the is a piece missing or broken but there is some damage there. As for the tv its fine for now no issues so far.

My only disappointment is that I cannot hook up my current dvd player to it! I'm old school and still watch dvd's, so need to return to Best Buy and hopefully find a dvd that will connect.
