Did research from Consumer Reports to the customer reviews on the top rated TVs according to well renown CR. When I saw this tv on display not knowing it was on my list, I fell in love with its crisp color, ginormous screen, and beautiful clarity I was in love! To find out it was one on my list made it crystal clear, this was the tv for me. This TV has NOT disappointed. The size of the television is on point!! The clarity and color are gorgeous! I get excited everytime I turn this tv on! Samsung makes it so easy to set up this tv. It’s seamless. The tv literally walked you though start up without any confusion. Easlily connected my Direct TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Hulu & Google Play accounts! Love it! Love it!! I did purchase the 5 year warranty just in case.

First off, Its a Samsung so it has a great picture. The setup is easy to use and the smart feature are a nice plus for a base model. It has built in wifi but no bluetooth, which is bad if you have a sound bar and don't want to use the optical port. This unit only has 2 HDMI ports. This surprised me for a 55" 4K TV. I have my cable box, Firestick and a BluRay player. Now with only 2 ports one of them has to go or I need to get an HDMI splitter and have yet another remote floating around. See ya BluRay!!! The ports on this TV are limited. I would have liked to see more options. At current it only has 2 HDMI ports, Ant in, Optical and USB port. Like I said, Not a lot of options. That is the reason for my 4 stars. Other than that, great price, nice sound, easy menu.

Gamer review: I have a relatively small room for gaming purposes, and this 55-incher does the trick perfectly. While it's not a true 120hz monster like the more pricey ones, for under $450? This thing is a steal. Color, contrast, lights and darks, all shine forth beautifully. Samsung's "game mode" manages to even make the refresh rate look as good as those pricey Sony models out there. Terrific latency and response time make the TV a gamer's pick of the litter, bettering similar offers from LG (like the UK6300) and even other, pricier Samsungs (the surprisingly inferior 7100 for example). Gamers, you found your 50+ inch under $450 TV!

We’re 6 months in with our Samsung tv and it’s great! Awesome color and sound! This is our first smart tv and we love having all our apps on the tv ready to go! It was easy to set up and it’s easy to navigate from one app to the other. My only wish is that iPhones could screen share/mirror with Samsung TVs, but we may get the the Apple TV adaptor yet. Overall great tv! We recommend!

In its price class the 6900 line of Samsung TVs are an excellent value. Samsung's HD to UHD upscaling and motion blur improvement are great. I am VERY happy with this TV. The following are highly recommended picture settings. I used them as an excellent starting point and tweaked them to my preference. Select Menu then Picture Some of the settings are in the basic picture settings, and some are in the Advanced Picture Setting. PICTURE SETTINGS Picture Mode: Natural or Movie Contrast: 45 Brightness: 1 Gamma: BT.1886: 0 Color: 27 Tint: R2 Sharpness: 0 Color Tone: Warm2 Backlight: 40 Film Mode: Auto2 Color Space Settings: Auto. All other settings should be set to "off" or zero "0", or remainat their default settings. These are very good starting point, experiment & you'll wind up with an exceptional picture.

If you’re like me and buy a TV every ten years or so, it’s easy to bow sincerely in Samsung’s direction to thank them for the latest innovation. The 4K picture is so good, I’m not waiting for 5K. Smart features work well and setup is a breeze. You will find yourself resetting the network once in a while, especially if your wifi configuration is lagging behind throughout your home.

Picture and sound quality are great. I have had no issues whatsoever with my couch roughly 12 feet away from the TV. Built-in apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Sling TV etc. have been awesome. It saves me the hassle of having to fire up my Ps3 to stream video content, and my Firestick now resides in the guest room. The free month of Sling also sold me on their service (live in a somewhat rural area, no cable providers available). I also bought a Chromecast to use with this TV, and it has worked flawlessly. It was a little bit of setup (as one should expect), but not complicated. I frequently cast from my phone or laptop to the TV. I'd give it 5 stars, but I think the user interface/remote controller are a bit slow and touchy at times. It normally clears up after a hard reset (which is pressing down the power button for 5 seconds or so), but it's the only downfall. Another small quality of life improvement would have been more HDMI ports, but that isn't worth a star to me.

The picture quality of this television is outstanding. The colors are vibrant and everything is very clear. However even though the refresh rate of this set is 120 I find at times when people are moving there is some blurriness of the figures on the edges. Still I am very pleased with my purchase and would purchase it again.

We bought this Samsung on sale just before Black Friday. We only use streaming services to watch television, including live television on YouTube TV, and we were looking for an affordable SMART television with a crisp image and a screen that wouldn't feel small in our living room. We love this product. We can use all of our apps on it without a streaming device. Everything streams with no issues, including live sporting events. The best surprise was the included Samsung television channels on the home screen. I sometimes mean to turn on Netflix and end up watching hours of Bewitched on a service we aren't even paying for. It's fantastic! We both agree that the screen size is plenty big enough. Who needs to go into debt spending thousands on 4K and a giant screen when this excellent product is available for so much less? Not us.

Got this tv on black Friday I absolutely love it the picture and sound is so incredible I didnt need the soundbar and subwoofer I had hooked up to the tv previously it's got incredible base just built in. This is my first Samsung tv and I'm so very happy with it. It's so easy to navigate settings and menus. I dont have cable I just use my antenna to get what's on air this smart tv picked up like 30 channels that I didnt even have I guess its channels that's already built in I guess I picked them up when I ran the channel scan I recommend this tv to everyone . The free channels says tv+

Easy to set up Good price I really like how the smart Tv works, in oldest models you have to turn the tv and allow a couple of minutes until the smart hub is ready, doesn’t happens w this one

It is a wonderful TV. Great picture, the audio is very impressive for the base TV. Easy to set up, easy to use. The "cable management system" on the back is far from impressive, it is simply a few grooves built in that you can push the cable into, but it has no hold over the cord to prevent it from slipping out. Nothing a piece of tape couldn't fix, if that's your thing, though. Also, I did seem to notice very choppy display, when you change certain settings on the TV. The choppiness/video blur is somewhat disorienting when you have it on those settings, but when not engaged, it still has wonderful video and great colors. Great value for the price though.

I replaced my 60” lcd tv with this tv... So happy I did! Even with a smaller area (55” vs 60”) to view the tv is way easier, for me, to see. The picture is extremely clear. Unfortunately it makes it easier for me to sit and watch any program... The colors on this tv pop out at you and are really defined... I was amazed at how full the sound is on this tv, I was looking around for my sound bar remote to turn down the sound and realized, after a few minutes, that the sound bar wasn’t even on! Great sound! Great Picture! Great TV for the price!

I haven't bought a new TV in years. I am very happy with this TV because it gives me a great picture, it's bigger than my old one, it is lighter and it has SMART functions. It is very easy to use.

I had a 40 inch 4.5 y/o Samsung smart TV that I was replacing when I bought the 55 inch Samsung NU6900 smart UHD TV on Black Friday 2018. I got the new Samsung TV mounted to my wall and hooked up to my Amazon Fire TV box and Playstation Vue very quickly, I always really liked my 40 inch Samsung TV, but the new 55 inch UHD TV has a much better picture and the smart app features are much improved from my older Samsung. The only negative is that the audio speakers in the Samsung TVs are still only fair in quality, so my sound bar truly gives a theater surround sound enhancement. Good reliable product at a great price!

Picture is lovely, sound not so much - but that's only to be expected in all thin TVs - and is only an observation, not criticism. It's been a month of intensive usage and I'm loving it. A couple of other observations are that the remote signal receiver is tucked somewhere under the TV and it requires that the remote be held at special angles in case you have a (even a short) soundbar that sits in front of the TV. That's an annoyance for sure. Then, I've seen the picture flicker temporarily a couple of times, and I have no idea why. I will reserve comment unless it recurs. All in all, it's a great product that I'd recommend to anyone.
