The 55" version of this TV fits the bill for most of your needs. If you are like me and want crisp sports, upgraded 1080p content, and dipping your toes into 4k, you will be pleased. Low profile bezel, good picture (viewed ~8ft 0 to 20 degrees dead on). I would suggest following the RTings.com picture settings for best results. I turned off most of the motion blur and eco settings for best results . Sound quality is adequate, though a cheap sound bar will work wonders. Typical Samsung menus, but if you are in the samsung ecosystem there will be no huge suprises. I recommend this over the LG and Sony comparables. If you want the best, go OLED, but for the casual viewer, this is solid. Don't pay 900 for this set, 700 to 800 can be found if you are patient.

The Samsung 8000 series TV is as good as it gets in a Smart TV without going to the QLED series. Easy to set up and best picture in LED TV. This is my fourth Samsung and they all have been reliable and best picture. If you don't want the latest QLED, the 8000 series is the one you want.

Picture is super clear. Depth of field on HD broadcasts and streams is amazing! The only drawback I can find is that the remote is not very user friendly. I use a Harmony universal remote, so that is not a concern for me.

Wanted blue tooth for headphones and this TV upgrade for the price over the lower models was too good to pass up. Picture and sound quality amazing. Make sure you have Best Buy match best Amazon offer. That is how I got tv down from $799 to $650. Highly recommended.

I love my new tv! The picture is so clear and bright. I enjoy all the apps that are available. It is easy to use. The smart remote is universal and works with all devices I hook it up to. I am still getting used to it, but I am the master of the remote now!

Picture unlike any I've seen before.Simplified television.. goes right to the dvd input automatically for example. Samsung Support is superb.Having an occasional problem losing connection to the Xfinity wifi.Need to find out if the problem is the wifi or the TV.

Only had for a few weeks now but so far this tv is awesome! Picture is beautiful. Sound through tv speakers is very good. The only thing that I find as a minor dislike is that the stand base is silver while the tv frame is jet black. I find this a minor annoyance to me while watching it. It kinda makes my eyes gravitate towards it. I probably will run a piece of black tape across it. Feel as though it should be black also. One note about the delivery that I wasn’t too keen about was the fact that the delivery company opened it before it was delivered to me. When I asked the driver about it he said they open all TVs they deliver to make sure they aren’t damaged or they will have to pay for them. I don’t believe that. That’s what insurance is for. Not sure that Best Buy authorizes it,but if I pay for a new item I should be the only person to open it.

I have had this TV for a couple of months now and still learning everything. I purchased this TV to replace an older one to get rid of expensive cable. I do miss having a DVR, but I am adjusting. The only drawback is the remote. It is really small and not a lot of options so I am trying to adjust to that and would think a TV like this would have a better remote. Great picture though!

I love this TV. It has everything you need right in the tv (Netflix, Hulu, Prime) plus you can download other apps such as HBOGO and Showtime. The picture is super clear, very colorful and vibrant and I’ve gotten many compliments from friends and family.

Best buy associate helped me to find the correct TV for my need and lowest price. The TV works very good with a great picture. I purchased the two year warranty. Thanks Best Buy I recommend it to a friend and he is buying same model from Best Buy.

Initially bought a LG 55" and once I got home suffered buyers remorse, the picture was dull. Did some research and landed on the Samsung NU8000. At its price point ($130 more than the LG) it offered me the best overall picture quality for under $1000. Once home I calibrated it with specs from an online site and could not be happier.

Great pricing on this gorgeous model. Easy to use, setup is not too difficult, mounts easily. Chose this over the Q model to save money and over the 7000 series to get better sound without the need for a sound bar.

I bought this for the bedroom and find it easy to use and pair with the things I need to use. Good sound and picture quality. My adult children bought one for their bedroom as well.

This Samsung 8000 is better than expected, the picture quality is flawless. It’s the first smart tv I have owned and the apps work great. I waited three weeks to post to ensure no problems and I am happy to report no issues.

Researched A LOT of televisions before buying this one. Picture quality is great. Setup was very easy and while it cost a little more than I had planed on spending is well worth it. I highly recommend this Samsung.

It has the best picture without having to pay a lot more money. The only cons are they should include the wall mount screws and spacers. The remote is really small and curved so it falls off non flat surfaces.

For the price, it is more than I was expecting. Bright screen. Perfect for watching any sport. My dad's favorite TV for hockey. Playing PS4 games are also very beautiful and vibrant. Love the 240 refresh rate.

Very happy with the purchase of this TV. Was a replacement for a 6 year old 'not'smart' TV. Relatively easy to get set up and get connected. Beautiful picture and sound. Glad I stepped up to the 4K UHD HDR TV.

Last tv was a Panasonic plasma 42”. Beautiful pic. Our new Samsung is everything and more. The picture on this tv exceeds the plasma. I almost feel like I’m in the room. I love my 55” Samsung! And the price was right!
