The color is so amazing and the picture is very clear. The setup up process was so intuitive, basically power it on and let it do it's thing! Will purchase another for the den.

The UHD picture is very good which includes sharpness, color, and motion control. The sound is also good. The NU8000 offers very good performance at a reasonable price.

    Excellent TV with limited inputs

I purchased this TV for movies and videogames and have not been disappointing with its picture quality or input delay at all. I did a little research to find out the NU8xxx line has especially low input delay--gaming monitors and the more expensive QLED sets are just about the only 4K displays with lower latency. Though I haven't tried any 4K consoles, upscaled 1080p games are much more responsive than the Panasonic plasma this set replaced--and the plasma already had exceptional input delay. My only complaint is with the set's inputs. The four HDMI ports are quite hunched together. A device requiring something even just a few cm wider than the female HDMI input might end up occupying two ports. For example, the plastic shell on the non-4K Amazon fire TV stick, while not especially wide, is big enough to prevent a neighboring HDMI input from being used. So, if I want to use my Fire stick, that means I'll only have room for two more devices rather than three. I was also a little disappointed to see there are no component inputs for this set for use with older videogame consoles, though I suppose this is an inevitability. Limited inputs aside, this is a great value. You won't mistake the picture for QLED, but the dollars-per-inch ratio for this set is quite favorable.

This is an excellent TV. I have one in my living room and love it, so I got another one for my bedroom. I considered purchasing the QLED but after reading up on it, there really wasn't much difference since the QLED are fairly new and haven't advanced enough to justify paying 1K higher. The Samsung 8000 series has vivid color, beautiful picture and seamless motion. I don't know about anyone else but with my hectic lifestyle I actually watch more TV in bed than in my living room so this TV is perfect for getting a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

I purchased this tv for my bedroom. I thought it was a bit big when I initially set it up, but I've been loving it. The Samsung has a more vibrant color than the LG in the same class of tv's. You can definitely see the difference, so I'm glad I went with this. I watch movies in a darkened room and the tv does not dim, like other tv brands have been reviewed to do. I opted to set this up myself (although it's handy to have a friend help) and it was super easy. No need to pay extra to have it installed. Purchased on sale and was a great deal!

I love this TV - the quality of the picture, the size, and all the "smart" features. I started taking some online classes and I discovered that I can project the classes wirelessly from my Laptop (using Internet Explorer, *not* Chrome) directly onto the TV over my wireless network. It's like a second monitor and I love it! No lag, no cables. I can also cast videos and mirror my smartphone screen to the TV (I do have a Samsung phone so not sure if that makes a difference). My only cons: now I want to pay for all the 4K UHD streaming subscription upgrades.

Went into BB looking for a good 4K 50 inch TV and looked at the 50 inch version of this model and it was Great Fantastic GOOD. Notice this other 55’ Samsung in the Brought back area and it was $120 less and well what can i say Same spec’s and 5” more Viewing area. I was sold and its been working flawlessly since the minute i turned it ON and Watched Planet Earth 4K on it and it Freaking UBER. Did i mention it Great picture yet. One item that sold me was the 120 Hertz native refresh rate , while most other 4K are 60 Hz with a multiplier to make it 120hz

We purchased this Samsung 55" - LED-NU800 series TV a few weeks ago. The resolution is excellent! We also purchased a Samsung sound bar and we are very pleased with that as well. I think the TV has got all of the bells and whistles on it, but all we really wanted was a reliable TV with a very sharp picture...and Samsung delivered with this one! We had the person who delivered it do the setup too. We're very happy we did that too, because we're down to only one remote for our entire system. So far there are no Cons.

I bought this TV in January 2019. Picture quality is beautiful, colors and picture are distinct. Really like how easy it is to use and get to all the "smart apps" on TV. I chose to buy the complete Geek Squad package. Warranty, set-up, etc. The two gentlemen who came to the house, Maxwell and Orlando were very professional and also personable. They went over everything on the TV with me and also answered all my questions. They are absolutely an asset to Best Buy. I have an awesome TV and the Geek Squad piece of mind. Thanks Best Buy!!

Oled or similar QLED TV will give better color quality, but this model has enough refresh-rate and upscaling power to deal with Full HD signal coming from Amazon prime and Direct TV to go. the 4k videos of course look even better. Smart TV so tested with Alexa to switch on and off by voice. Smart menu, indeed smart enough. Firestick 4K connected nicely. Apple 4k to join soon, though the internal apps and channels are not bad to start with.

Bought this TV from my local Best Buy on a Black Friday special. Set up was easy, although I wish the remote had more buttons instead of having to go through menus and arrow up, down, left, right. Picture quality is great as to be expected with Samsung. Built in speakers are good for just regular TV viewing, but I would recommend a surround sound or sound bar for better sound and volume. The smart features are great and when hooked up to WiFi, can easily cast from a cellphone or laptop. Overall pleased with the purchase.

Bought this tv about two months ago. Very pleased! Easy set up and once we got used to the remote not having numbers, I much prefer it. You can speak to the remote the channel you want or speak to it to do a search. Now about the picture quality, it is fantastic! My only complaint is that I think our cable is too slow because when we watch tennis you can see the trail of the ball sometimes. Otherwise we love this tv! So I want to be clear, my only complaint is more related to our cable and not the tv. 5 stars all the way!

I bought this tv in January, one of the reviews I read was a complaint about the base. Since the picture and ease of use was excellent, I bought it. Today I found out how bad the base really is. When I first set it up I thought the base a bit of a pain to install but I manage to do it. Today for an unknown reason the tv just fell off the base and onto the floor. Luckily I was in another room and not in front of it. I put it back up hoping it still worked, no, its done with. Now it's a rather heavy paper weight awaiting the trash truck next Friday. Would I buy it again? Yes, if the base was more stable. The tv has an excellent picture especially when connected to a 4K Blu-ray player.

Great TV, awsome picture and great speakers. The price was the same as many others of the same size but Samsung offered more standard features. Smart TVs are very convenient. The signal bar that you set it front of the TV is amazing, i can be 100ft away under 5 pillows backwards and still use the TV with the remote, dont ask how I know lol. I also like the remote, its compact, easy to see and use buttons and the batteries that came with it have lasted a long time.

This is a pretty good television and it has a good remote. Many televisions have remotes that don't have many buttons so you have to page through a lot of menus but not this one. It has enough buttons to get where you want to go usually with only one or two button presses. The picture is great and it looks better than TCL units of similar size - probably because it's more expensive and a better unit. I guess you get what you pay for...

I often thought why do I need a big TV and maybe 55" is not that large but coming from a 19" it's huge, but not over powering for my room size. It comes with all kinds of bells and whistles. I like the TV brought this one on the advice of the young guys in the TV department. These guys are forward thinking and in my situation they assured me I won't out grow this tv for quite sometime. If you are in the Clarence store Payten can hook you up with a great tv

I bought this a a replacement for a 60” TV, the 65”was too big for the space. It has a simple remote but well designed. Instead of a plethora of buttons there are only 6 with onscreen sub-menus. It has many built-in apps and a web browser so one can access online videos on web sites. But the browser is Linux based so Adobe Flash is not available, I would have given 5 stars but the TV does not have any analog inputs - composite or component. It does support digital and analog off-air/cable channels. The HDMI inputs are all version 2.0, unlike the TV it replaced which only had one with the rest version 1.4.. Version 2.0 supports 4K video (3840 x 2160 pixels) at up to 60 frames per second. (The 1.4 spec also supports 4K video but only up to 30 frames per second.) The remote can communicate with the Dish receiver and Samsung 4K BD player so I don’t need additional remotes.

Picture quality is as advertised. Beautiful 4K UHD color, deep blacks that contrast with bright colors. I have noticed no blur when watching sports or fast action. The slim bezel makes the overall impression of the TV look sleek and sophisticated. I initially did not like the simplicity of the remote, but after a short time I have begun to appreciate how easy it is to use and navigate without having to stare at it to find the button you want.

Very satisfied with the overall quality of this TV. The smart features and smart remote control are easy to set up and make life easy for the day to day switching back and forth from my Comcast DVR to the Roku Ultra to the Xbox etc. The price/performance is very competitive to other 4k TVs I looked at (Vizio, LG and Sony). My final decision to go with the Samsung was simply what my own eyes told me looking at it in the store.
