It's the first time I've purchased a current model television. It's a bit pricey, but the picture is fantastic. I was also able to repurpose my Apple TV due to this TV having a healthy amount of apps (including the Apple TV app).

All Alexa commands seem to work good but “turn on” only works about half the time. If you are looking a tv with a great picture and good sound even without a sound bar this would be a good choice. May want to way a little while as the price on this unit seems to be dropping, it has already dropped an extra $100 since I bought it on prime day.

The Alexa voice control doesn't work either. Game mode works good for about 2 hours then image distortion starts. Picture breakup etc...if you take off auto picture and change those settings manually you'll be fine. Don't really need game mode anyway it's still great for gaming. Samsung you need to fix these features....not a cheap tv!!!!!

Thank you for your purchase and review.
Please follow these steps to activate Alexa as your default voice assistant.
1. Go to Setting – General – Voice , and set the voice to Alexa from Bixby.
2. Sign in by going to Alexa settings. Then the remote will work with Alexa.
3. Use the Voice button on the remote to start using Alexa.

We also recommend you check that your TV is running the latest firmware.
Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit.
You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences.

Went higher end and I am glad I did. Most cheaper tvs are missing one or more important feature. Samsungs are mostly made outside China which is big plus for someone like me who loves our country.

So many extras as well, i.e. Samsung workouts, Samsung TV channels. Love this TV!! One minor issue, sound is low. Need to raise volume to hear voices. Should be better with a sound bar. That will be my next purchase.

If you are gaming with this tv shut off all of the intelligent modes and auto dimming features, especially if playing a dark room. It will auto darken until you can barely see anything.

The 55 inch is easy on the eyes - both what’s on the screen, as well as the screen itself. It’s sort of like wifi. My only regret is that I didn't go bigger like at least an 65 inch. I'm sure it's only an allusion but the 55" seems a bit smaller than my other TV's of the same size. Other than that I highly recommend
