Do your DD before purchasing these TV's... Q60,(bought and took back) Q70 (last years Q60) and then this Q80 and there is so much difference...this Q80 is insane! I had to have one with REAL 2.1,, 120 Refresh etc to work with the new Sony Playstation 5 and this is the only one of the three and many other brands that hit all the marks. This is the most amazing TV I have seen, every day I am happy I made this purchase.

I was a little skeptical going in because this was my first time buying a tv in awhile. Did a lot of research and decided on the Samsung q80t and I have to say I’m very happy with it. I saw some people picking on small things that are wrong with this tv so it made me a little worried but I haven’t noticed anything so far almost 3 months in. Great picture and color but the speakers are a little weird sometimes depending on the channel. Great for sports, movies, tv and gaming. Hoping for the best moving forward but so far I’m 100% satisfied. Would recommend

I purchased the Samsung 55” Q80 after purchasing the Samsung 65” Q70 tv. The difference in the quality of picture is amazing. Don’t get me wrong, the Q70 is awesome. I recommend spending the extra few hundred $ in difference to upgrade to the Q80. Colors are vibrant and the blacks are superb. Initial setup of the tv is easy. The only regret is I didn’t get a bigger tv, but where I have placed it, it wasn’t an option. I have only owned Samsung tv’s for the last 15 years. I believe there quality is second to none. Now that I have upgraded to the QLED, there is no going back. 5 stars all the way.

I chose the QLED over the OLED simply because my family room and kitchen combination are bright and the reflection in the screen shows the entire room. This TV cuts out about 95% of the reflection although, with the LED kitchen lights on I can see rainbow streaks from side to side on the screen when the kitchen lights need to be on. The picture quality and color are unbelievably crisp with deep color and the refresh rate works very well for such a sharp-large screen. I did a little research before buying this TV and I couldn't be happier I decided to choose this TV.

I bought this TV to set up in our game room. Picture is absolutely amazing. Coming from a HU8550, this TV seems to be the comparable model 5+years down the road. The Ryzen engine that is used for the Smart features is super snappy and quick. Ambient mode is nice for if you want to turn your TV into a piece of art rather than a big black screen in your room. 4K is incredible and all content looks super sharp on TV. Highly recommend if someone is looking for a really good tv but doesn't want to get carried away. Also has one HDMI 2.1 port (HDMI 4 I believe).

Good enough TV, but honestly it wasn’t an upgrade from my 8 series Samsung...in reading all of the reviews, I’d thought it would be but I did a side by side comparison using my ps5, xbox series x, and streaming video and there was little difference. The one thing I liked was that it automatically adjusted the picture to optimize it and that was spot on. I could see that being annoying to others though who want the picture a certain way. The refresh rate for 60 to 120 was noticeable at times, but not worth the extra spend in my opinion. If you’re looking for a top of the line TV, look no further, but if you want an extremely comparable model at half the price or less, the 8 series is going to do you just fine.

Very Happy with the Samsung product, we had to buy a new 55 inch TV after our old 14 year 50 inch Samsung started to have problems. I did a lot of research and this seemed a good buy. The picture is great we like the small bezel and the middle support makes it easy to place on the stand. Was easy to setup, took a little learning on how the remote works but we are getting there. This TV has more features on it that we more than likely won't use. Over all picture quality is amazing!!

Best TV I ever owned, I just upgraded from a Sony XBR 850D and got this one and I'm satisfied with it. The only thing I don't like is the user interface I wish it were more customizable and some of the Samsung care pop-ups are annoying during initial setup but for the most part the sound and picture is amazing. I like this TV because it has the stand/leg in the middle and not on both ends. I've always hated Tvs that have legs on both ends because most TV stands won't hold them up.

Samsung has a winner with this TV. Sharp picture, excellent color. I personally do not like the Samsung proprietary software, but that can be minimized to some extent so as not to stay in your face all the time. Pricing when compared with other brands offering similar features is decent. Remote has been streamlined and took a bit of getting used to.

We've had this TV for almost a month. It has excellent picture quality, no blurring issues, and the sound is very good even though we have not yet purchased the soundbar. The initial set-up was super easy (just followed the on-screen prompts). We noticed that this TV does not put out as much heat as our last, smaller TV. Consumer Reports gave this TV a high rating (we think it was 83-86). Overall the quality is exceptional for a good sales price! We are impressed with this TV and recommend it.

Beautiful TV. So far, I love the smart tv features (ie all the apps I can watch from). Runs most ps4 games smoothly. The ones that don’t run smoothly I’m not sure if it’s related to my internet or not. I’m using it in my bedroom which is 200-300 sq ft and the sound is great where I don’t think a sound bar will be necessary.
One problem I have with this and my other older Samsung tv is that they sometimes automatically change the brightness and gets darker.
I’d recommend this tv.

The image is excellent even in a room that is not a basement man cave--ie, this room has windows. The sound is adequate for anyone who can put up with less than absolute movie theater level, In a room that is less than 20 x 30'. The viewing angle is pretty good. The controller does everything, but I prefer a a controller with buttons dedicated to each function rather than having to figure out how to get to the function I want. That's my preference. I think this is about as good as you'll get unless you have to go for the higher level sound or you're willing to pay a lot more. full Roku is not part of the system , So if that's important check out how that would work for you.

Easy set up and amazing picture! The Samsung TV menu and remote took a little getting used to at first, but we love it now! It is nice to have direct access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and any other subscribed services. Also we had an existing roof antenna that now gets all kind of channels perfectly which we can also access through the main menu. The "over the air" channel guide looks exactly like a "cable channel" guide which was a nice little bonus. Overall pleased with our purchase.

The product performance aligned with the reviews read. It has great picture quality and brightness for the type and class. The Tizen apps are pretty good but sometimes a bit flaky IMO.
The gallery mode, which was a small part of the decision to buy this model has proven to be a major disappointment. There are a lot of unexpected restrictions on how it can be customized, and the information is scattered across multiple sources. In short: needs a lot of work.

The Samsung 55" Class Q80T Series QLED 4k is one heck of a TV. It has great picture and sound quality. One of the neat features is the casting ability which my old Samsung did not have which was one of the reasons for this purchase. Really love all the Smart features it has too. Set up was easy and not complicated at all. You definitely can't go wrong with this television.

4k 120fps Gaming and Amazing Movie/TV Experience

If you are looking for a gaming TV for your Xbox Seris X/S or PS5 this is perfect. The TV has HDMI 2.1 to support the 4k 120fps with VRR! You're games will look breath taking because of how much the colors pop on this TV. The blacks are really deep and there is no halo effect when playing games that are really pitch black. Movies look even better on this TV but you must go though the advanced settings to get the most out of it. I don't recommend just buying the TV and not use the "Advanced Settings" to adjust colors and motion support. The TV looks really slick and the edges of the TV are not made of plastic but is made of some type of a metal. The 3D Sound is a really nice experience but could be better. The new processor for this TV is really amazing as it makes the menus move so seamless. The AI video enhancer is the best thing about this TV. It can upscale lower quality video for ex. (1080p to 2160p) or (2160p to 3840p) NOT everything will upscale to 4k quality it will upscale to the best quality the AI can manage. This AI affects Gaming, Movies, Apps like YouTube and Cable. I've been watching The Office Season 1 and I'm sure you know how blocky that can get but this TV almost completely gets rid of it. I'm really enjoying re-watching all of my old favorite TV shows, movies and anime. Makes everything so refreshing to watch. TV does get hot after like 2hrs of continuous use just saying as a warning, so you don't hurt your hand touching the edges if you are that sensitive. Also the stand it comes with is premium quality as well, good if you don't like mounting or can't mount it. I don't regret this purchase at all. If anything I would of like to have gotten the Q90 but didn't have enough money :(

After a lot of research of TV's from all over the internet, this seemed like the best one I could afford in the size that I wanted. Got this home and was not disappointed. Fantastic picture quality and surprisingly good sound quality. Haven't tried any gaming on it yet, but so far everything else has been great. Set up was easy too. The only nitpick (at least right out of the box) is the overly simple remote, but maybe I just have to use it for a while.
