Can not believe how clear the picture is. 8k Rock’s. The picture are is great. I have it hooked up to my fire stick & it works well. Still learning how to use it. Have a issue with turning the volume up/down. Could be operator error. Sound is awesome. We bought a open box special. Purchased the Geek Squad warranty. Definitely would recommend purchasing this awesome TV :)

Fabulous TV features and capabilities, however the anti-glare claims oversold in the product description are disappointing. Great features mean nothing when the glare is so distracting. And it’s not that I am in an overly lit space, just a living room at night with overhead lights.

I can`t remember being as excited about q purchase as I was when I purchased this TV! Waiting for it to be ready for pickup was like waiting for Christmas day when I was 6 years old! Come on, this is an 8K tv that upscales everything to 8K! My old Samsung was a 60 inch 4K TV. I have a cut out and the biggest TV I can fit in it is 60 inches. I wanted to replace it with the same size TV, but no one makes that size anymore. I was worried 55 inches would be too small, it wasn't. Picked up my TV, got it home, and immediately began setting it up. Set up is pretty straight forward. This TV was a lot heavier and thicker than my old Samsung. I wasn't very excited about the large one connect box that comes with this TV. Its big! My old TV had a very small one connect box. My cords were sticking out everywhere and I always didn't like the way it looked. This box, although large, hid my chords nicely. I was pleasantly surprised. I had everything setup and ready to go. The actual setup of the TV was simple through my phone. The app works really well and is so easy! Once the TV was ready, it was time for the moment of truth! I went into Netflix and found a show I knew would really highlight the capabilities of this 8K TV, a nature documentary. My wife and I sat down on the couch and started the show. We both looked at each other in amazement! I think the words out of our mouth were something like, "holy cow!" The show we were watching wasnt broadcast in 8K, but the picture was stunning! The colors were so vibrant and the picture was so crystal clear! It was like looking out a window or something. It was the most incredible picture I have ever seen on a TV! I was able to get this 8K TV on sale, for the same price as a 55" NEO QLED. Totally worth the money! If you are on the fence about buying this TV, just buy it! You will love it! There is nothing quite like it!

just picked up the 8k upgraded from a previous 1080p samsung 3D TV that I had for about 5 years, let me tell you it IS a BIG upgrade.. brightness and display backlight on this TV makes it feel like you're actually there. setup was pretty simple, installing the legs was the only difficult part, I recommend this a 2 person job, because you need to flip the TV on its back to install the legs, it is pretty heavy so just be prepared to not grab the screen or break it. Samsung TV's are the best! can't wait for all the great 8k Content to come out.

This is my entry level into the 8k realm. I pushed very hard to get 8k content from whatever tech I had in my house. I began with my MSI Leopard and was running YouTube 8k. This however had at 10885 processor and it easily ran the CPU at 100 percent so this was not feasible. I eventually reconfigured my main PC from my Titan V to AMDs 6900 with a 5950x CPU and now I'm using only 35% of the CPU. I must say that this TV is extremely gorgeous and very beautiful to look at. Let's be honest though, even though this is 8k, this is far better as 4k 120 hz. I have ran test with my PS5 playing DMC5 on it (Not every game runs 120 hz on PS5). It's feels almost as smooth as the multiple monitors I have running at 144 hz but not quite like my 240 hz. I feel more comfortable using this as my gaming monitor vs my LG Oled because of the risk of burn in from the Oled. Plus with the deal I got as an open item, I feel very blessed having a TV that is future proof. One thing though, the Chroma isn't exactly true 8k, but if you can get a good price for this set, you should get it. 55 inches does work if you are using it in a office like me and up close. I don't use the sound at all, I use a sound bar and never recommend relying on the basic sound on any tv.

The motion plus is complete junk. Turn it off if you don’t want jerky movement. Another problem is the fading brightness with words only on the screen. I was about to return the tv until I found out why the picture jumped around. Color, brightness and clarity are better than the Sony 850C that I have. Samsung better correct these problems with an update if they know how. One more thing, I hate the controller. It’s too small and doesn’t have enough controls on it. I want at least a source button on it.

Since there is no 8K content available, I decided to use this as my PC monitor, which replaced dual 49" curved screens. I get much more space thanks to the high resolution and can run many more windows simultaneously. Took me a bit to figure out that only HDMI4 supports 8K 60Mhz refresh rate while the other 3 inputs only support 30 Mhz. Makes a huge difference in picture quality and trying to play games (which is AWESOME at 8K if your video card can handle it). Overall very pleased. Wish they made like a 42" version as 55" is slightly large for a PC monitor but it works.

I have tried several TV's, this is an exceptional TV from Samsung. I did not want to go beyond a 55" TV for my setup, art mode is great when I play an aquarium scenery in the back ground. I have several windows and a source of light I can not control where it's installed. I have LG OLED in the bedrooms because I can control the light in those rooms and are wonderful TV's to own. Samsung has the best technology when it comes to having the brightest displays with a lot of room light. It has a layer that blocks the mirror effect, take a look at the LG OLED when it's off compared to Samsung, the reflections are really bad, Samsung is a winner. Get the 55" or 65" and you will not be disappointed.

I suppose a 55" 8K TV should not exist. From a normal watching distance there is very little difference between 720P and 4K. You only see a difference in 8K if you are a few inches away. However, this is a wonderful TV. There is nothing like the smoothness of an 8K screen. It fells more inclusive. You feel like part of the scene. With a top quality TV like this one, everything works just like it should. There are no problems. This TV also operates exactly like the larger 8K TV in our living room. The home screen and remote are the same. High quality, a great picture and easy to live with.

Great Resolution But Head Scratching Inputs

I down rated this TV because of the inputs. The picture itself is stunning. It enhances all digital inputs up to near 8K quality. The inputs are separated from the monitor in a "one connect" box. This is both a plus and a minus. On the plus side, it reduces the weight of the monitor enough so that one person can place the TV or even mount it -- mine is mounted on a home entertainment center with a central TV mount. On the negative side is where to place the one connect box. I had no problems with this but it is a little surprising that all adverts and illustrations of the mounted TV does not show that box. That fact has surprised some people and resulted in negative ratings. That is not the reason I down rated this TV, however. The main reason as the title implies is the head scratching HDMI input set up. Of the 4 HDMI inputs, only HDMI 4 is HDMI 2.1 to support 8K/60 or 4K/120 input. However (and this is a big one) HDMI 3 which is HDMI 2.0 is the input that supports ARC. Are you kidding me??? If I have an AVR receiver with ARC/EARC and 8K or 4K/120 capability I lose that to gain ARC. Why in the world wasn't the HDMI 4 2.1 port created with ARC capability?? For me right now I have developed a work around. My Xbox Series S is direct connected to the HDMI 4 port so I get full video functionality. My desktop (I use steam for gaming) is routed thru my receiver with its ARC output connected to the TV's HDMI 3 port to get ARC audio capability from the TV to the receiver for my XBOX and direct to TV streaming. Audio for the desktop is via the one digital optical output on the desktop and one digital optical input on the receiver. This works for me now but connections should have been very simple -- device outputs to receiver inputs and receiver ARC and 8K output to TV HDMI 2.1 ARC input but as described that is not how this TV (confusingly) is configured.

    I Just Miss CrunchyRoll…

It’s honestly gorgeous. The TV is so thin! But also heavy. And there’s a box to hide all your cords in an entertainment system. And the screen quality is so crisp! Video, console gaming, and PC gaming have all been gorgeous. BUT Samsung TVs don’t have a CrunchyRoll app. None of them do. I can screencast it, which is good and all, but I want the app for ease of use. Also my Switch for some reason can’t stay on 1080p while playing Super Smash Bros. on this TV without occasionally going black for a millisecond? Just my Switch has this issue. And only with SSB. I also hear PS5s don’t like Samsung TVs but I haven’t tried one on this so I can’t say if that’s an issue here… Overall, a cheaper 8K TV but it works fine so I don’t know why it’s cheap.

This TV looks phenoninal. My only gripe is it only has one 2.1 port, so I hope i cant get a new OneConnect box. To be fair I like a bright, clear, smooth picture. So QLED was a no-brainer and OLED was a no-go. And say what you want - The upscaling is amazing. Far above that of my 4K TV. Granted this one DOES have a much better processor...It can even stream in 4K and Atmos without buffering now WITHOUT my AppleTV 4K... But the fact it's only one 2.1 port wheb I want 3 AND ACTUALLY NEED 2 (One for input and one for eArc 31 mbps, not the bottleneck of 18 from 2.0) really hirts it

Great picture, but get ready to do drywall

So the picture is amazing and what I expect from a Samsung, setup once powered on is super easy. Here is the catch, Samsung crippled this TV with the one connect. It’s literally one cord with two large proprietary fittings on each end that runs power, hdmi, lan, coax, all in one cord. This one connect cable plugs into what can only be described as a huge block that you need to find a spot for in your layout, it’s far too big to mount on the wall behind the tv. Further if you have existing power and av cables running to your wall already and think you can just bypass using this cinderblock hub, that won’t help you as this tv does not allow you to use any other connection since it has no other connections on the back of the tv but the one cable and block hub configuration. So get your drywall knife ready because you’ll probably need it in order to fish this cable through the wall. Had they simply added the standard hdmi, power, lan, coax etc. connections to the back of the tv as an alternative setup, this would be a five star review.

I love this TV the colors are amazing and it automatically up converts video from all sources, the hookups are the coolest I've ever seen you only have one wire going to the TV so you can keep the install clean and you can easily hide the wires without a bunch of special wire hides or having to go through the wall. The refresh rate is great and there's no motion blur sofar and I've watched a lot of different things with big panning movements and when you watch or stream a 4K movie the pictures is the best I've seen sofar. All and all the nicest TV I've ever had.

This 8K tv is awesome. I got the 2019 version but I would recommend getting the 65". I heard something was different for the 55" vs the 65 " and now that I am writing this review I forgot what it was. The guy who installed it on GEEKSQUAD asked me why I got the 8K I tried to explain it to him but he tried to say I should have stayed with 4K. He was wrong. There is 8K content. So I made the right choice. The ONE CONNECT BOX is huge. Bigger than the last 4K tv I had with samsung. Way bigger and heavier but still I love everything about this 8k tv. I only wish samsung would start using 1Gbps or 10Gbps they are still using 100Mbps ethernet ports. But I use my Apple TV for 1Gbps for downloads and streaming.

Great Picture. Awesome remote. This Tv gives off a lot of heat. Great addition to the furnace in the winter. During the summer your AC will run much longer due to the amount of heat it gives off. This is my first 8k Tv although several 4k tv's don't give off anywhere near the amount of heat this one does. Its like having a second furnace.
