I ordered a new product and received a used one that was covered in fingerprints and missing the protective cover, plus a few dead pixels so I have to do an exchange, but cant because its out of stock. Unacceptable when you are purchasing a new one and it cost this much money.

This was supposed to be a brand new product. Out of the box it looked like it was open box. Fingerprints were on the screen and the plastic was removed from the monitor. They should’ve known better!!! Other than it looking like an open box product, the monitor is phenomenal. I am using it with an M1 Mac for production and I love it.

I give the monitor five stars. But Geek Squad. . .
Geek Squad certified this open box monitor as "excellent condition." There was a line of dead pixels down the middle of the screen and visible cosmetic damage.

Got the Wrong Size – Can’t Return It??

I ordered the 57-inch version but ended up receiving the 47-inch one instead. When I tried to return it, customer service told me I couldn’t because it was the wrong size—but I never even got the 57-inch to begin with. That makes no sense. I paid for the bigger size and now I’m stuck with a smaller one I didn’t ask for. Really disappointing experience.

Good Miniled Display

Pros
This is my first time having a 32:9 display. The form factor is incredible. Taking it out of the box, it seemed overwhelmingly large. Pictures and videos online don't do it justice. But after turning it on and using it for a few minutes, it quickly became very natural feeling. The size and form factor is perfect for me. The 1000r curve likely plays a massive role here
I've always used 1440p displays, so this is the first time I've ever used 4k. I didn't think I would notice much of a jump, but the increase in sharpness is very noticeable and welcomed
The colors, contrast and brightness, HDR are excellent. It's a great looking screen with minimal blooming. The blacks are very deep and highlights/full screen flashes are blindingly bright
Cons
This will be personal preference, but the matte finish is overly aggressive. There's definitely a bit of a fuzzy, hazy look to it when my lights are on. The blacks turn a brownish color with light in the background. When I'm in the dark, which is mostly how I play, this problem mostly goes away but the graininess is still noticeable. I'd prefer if this were a glossy/semi gloss display
The viewing angles are horrendous. I knew this going into it, so it's not that big of a deal. But having someone sit next to you while playing is a no go. They will have an entirely different visual experience. Blooming becomes much more noticeable and colors are washed out. It's worse than my mini led tv
The display does get hot, and if you sit close to it, you will feel the heat
Also a small con, there's no built in speakers

I couldn't be more happier with this monitor it makes multitasking a breeze one of the the refresh is so fast and clear especially when your running two devices at once the only thing disliked was it didn't come with a built-in speaker and is not dolby arc compatible so no big deal just had to install a new driver on the comp im very happy with my purchase

I’m an OLED person… Every tv / phone that I own has to be OLED. But with this monitor purchase there was a problem with that— 49” OLED version is not even true 4K. So I went with this 57” non-OLED monitor for the better resolution (near 8K). And oh my, the picture is just stunning. Most or the games that I play are optimized for ultrawide screen (32:9) and that’s where this monitor really shines. My 5090 PC can run near 8K in the 230’s for FPS (with DLSS) on Halo… Forza Horizon 5, not quite that good where frames are typically in the 190-210’s with ultra settings in mear 8K resolution— which has become my benchmark game for making performance adjustments. That said, thete are some cons with this monitor— blooming is always a thing for non-OLED and this monitor seems to be decent in that regard, but i can still notice some bloom— which just comes with the territory when you don’t go with OLED. Also it runs hot— I really must run my room fan when using this minitor for any length of time. I’m quite surprised at how much heat this thing generates, and so I can only hope that it doesn’t run its lifespan down producing those higher of temps. Also, while there are ultrawide screen extensions out there— content just doesn’t seem normal when it has to be streched… And the other option is to watch content windowed, with black bars… I don’t really like either option to be honest— so I hooked up my tv as a second monitor across the room for a normal 16:9 format once in a while. In the end of the day I’m glad that I got this monitor— the immersion when gaming in ultrawide at near 8K / 240 FPS is truly and otherworldly experience. I still wish it was OLED, but I’m also happy with it. Also wish it had Dolby Vision, but Samsung will never pay royalties to Dolby for that… Also wish it didn’t run so hot— but hey, nothing is perfect. This thing is freaking sweet for what it is.

Comically Large and Equally Awezome!

Fantastic! It is comically large and worth every inch. I have a small desk at 48" wide and it just-perfectly fits with very minimal overhang. I would recommend having a larger desk with a monitor arm as the legs take up a huge amount of space. Probably my only gripe with it is the legs. I wish it were a flat base instead so the space is still largely usable.
It may not be the OLED that I'm used to - but it does a great job getting a high contrast ratio, with surprisingly deep blacks. You will notice some light bleeding from mouse movement over large, black areaa but it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
Viewing angle up/down isn't great so you'll want to have vertical alignment situated (monitor arm makes this part easier).
Great for gaming and productivity. It's my new daily setup for work and play and I'm pretty sure it has broken me and I'll be unable to downgrade in size in the future.
4080 Super easily pulls 120fps in the games I play with this behemoth of a monitor but will struggle to do so in really high demanding games such as Cyberpunk. I'd heavily recommend bringing dowmthe overall resolution to 1440p for those moments and utilizing DLSS to artificially bring up tbe resolution. Has no problem doing that and looks excellent!
I buy most of my electronics from Best Buy AMD this was mo exception. As a Total member, I feel completely covered should something go wrong with this monitor within the next two years but, so far, zero issues!

So first off I absolutely love the size of this monitor. I bought it on release day, fully expecting it to be a little glitchy for the first 6 months until the firmware matured a little. Overall it hasn’t disappointed.
Here’s my issues I’ve personally had. I have a 7900xtx in my windows 11 pc, so I’ve been able to utilize DP2.0 or HDMI 2.1 and get the full 240hz. Only real problem I’ve had is with the screen flickering when I used my DP cable. I tried 3 different, highly reputable cable manufacturers and had the exact same result, even with the most up to date firmware at the time. HDMI however has worked flawlessy with no flickering.
As far as complaints I wish it would have had speakers built in. And a remote because using the bottom button can be a pain.
Here are my likes. The size is amazing and I love it. I had the 49” neo g9 and it wasn’t for me. Just felt too wide and too short. The 57” is amazing. I originally bought it for my sim racer chassis which it is awesome for, but have since moved it to my desktop for general computer work. I like it best for my desktop for productivity and gaming. Doing COD type games I still like better on a standard size but RPG style games rock.
Ultimately would i recommend this monitor to others? Yes I would and I’ll likely buy another in the future for my sim rig.

I've had this monitor for several months now and can attest that it's incredible. I chose it over an OLED monitor because I use it primarily for work and secondarily for gaming. The OLED monitor I tried first didn't have the pixel sharpness I needed to be able to stare at for 8+ hours/day working.
Compared to OLED, the contrast isn't as good, but is still amazing due to the miniLED and dimming zones. There is still a fair amount of blooming, but it isn't noticeable during normal use. Color is incredible, although not quite as saturated as OLED. Pixel sharpness and clarity of text is much better than the 49-inch OLED I returned and replaced with this monitor. Also, they are just too narrow vertically. Even though they're the same aspect ratio, the extra vertical inches on this monitor makes all the difference in the world. Max brightness is much better than OLED in HDR, and in War Thunder, looking at the sun actually makes me squint.
The KVM functions very well and is super easy to switch between sources (two button presses of the little controller on the bottom of the screen).
The 240hz refresh rate at full resolution is a little tricky to achieve, however.
There are 4 video inputs, 3 of which are HDMI 2.1 and will only get you 120hz. The single display port is DP 2.1b UHBR80 and you need to have that 80 to get the full 240hz at full resolution.
The AMD 7900xt has DP 2.1b UHBR80, BUT the 9070xt does NOT. I had to return mine because AMD stepped the DP port down to DP2.1b UHBR40 for the 9070xt.
The RTX 50 series has DP 2.1b UHBR80, at least at the 5070ti level and above. I don't know about below that, though.
I replaced with a RTX 5070ti and had to buy a new DP cable (again, it must be DP 2.1b UHBR80 80gbps to work) because the cables that ship with the monitor are super short.
The 5070ti gets 75-85 fps in Cyberpunk 2077 at full resolution using DLSS Balanced and MFG 2x, with Ray Tracing on Medium, the ray tracing toggles on, most eye candy settings on medium and LOD on High. I was worried having to turn the settings down and enable DLSS would hurt the experience, but the game honestly looks amazing. I've toyed with turning settings up, but I can't tell the difference for the sacrifice in frame rate, and 75-85 fps is hella smooth.
Two tools I've found essential for work are Power Toys (free utility from Microsoft in the Microsoft store), which allows you to set custom window sizes to snap to, assign a hotkey to find your mouse, and a ton of other tools I haven't got around to using yet. The other is RegionToShare, which allows me to designate a portion of the screen for screen sharing, so my Teams calls I can have a part of my screen to "show screen" on without sharing the whole monitor.
Overall, it takes a lot of tweaking and obsessing to get "just right", but once I did, I absolutely love the monitor.
I've heard that samsung has questionable quality control, so I opted for the geek squad 4 year warranty, but I've had zero issues with quality so far.

Love this display!
Didn't see myself spending this much on a panel, but a few months earlier I got a 49" OLED panel for my new gaming desktop and really enjoy the immersion, fast refresh, and extra real estate that allowed me to increase the scale of fonts & icons to something my older eyes were comfortable with.
That got me thinking about how much happier I'd be if only I could have something similar for my daily productivity setup, something with more of a 2160p vertical aspect....
For work & productivity, I had been using a 6 year old LG 32" 4K display. The 60Hz refresh made it pretty unsuitable for any sort of gaming though - that was a point of frustration. Also, it wasn't convenient to constantly be switching inputs on the display between my work & personal laptops - invariably the secondary laptop apps I wanted to use or keep an eye on (streaming music, chat clients, email, etc.) while using the primary laptop on the external 4K would not be visible on the secondary laptop display and I'd have to switch inputs to interact with them.
This 57" monster allows me to run in PBP mode with each laptop displaying to it's own 4K display - and this is how I use it 99% of the time. The work MBP M1 runs at 60Hz - I have a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable that theoretically allows 120Hz but there's an issue with it such that any time I disable PBP mode and re-enable it, the Mac ceases displaying anything to the external panel until I disconnect & reconnect that cable. Because I'm not using the MBP for gaming, I opted to revert back to an HDMI-HDMI cable (mostly to reclaim the Thunderbolt port for other peripherals) and display at 60Hz. The Win/PC laptop displays its 4K content at 120Hz, and uses the same refresh at panel native 7680x2160 as well and without any issues. The display will not, as far as I can tell, allow refresh higher than 120Hz in PBP mode. And the mobile RTX 4090 is not able to display at native panel resolution at 240Hz. It will do 5120x1440 non-native at 240Hz though. That said, gaming at 7680x2160@120Hz looks pretty good to me and I don't feel like I need a higher refresh. And when I do go full screen for a game, I'm playing mostly older games at max settings (Doom 3, Half-Life 2: Update, Alien: Isolation).
Colors aren't quite as saturated as they are on the OLED panel, and the blacks can sometimes look slightly brown compared to those super deep OLED blacks. No surprise there. But these are really minor nits considering how good this display looks otherwise. Also, this display doesn't have the awful & bloated Tizen OS that my OLED panel has. This does mean I will have to make any firmware updates via a USB thumb drive vs wireless connection, but it also means I don't have a bloated TV OS that mediates my experience and usage with its constant input switching, screen blanking, and always-on Bluetooth (?) connection.
This is a really nice monitor, and I am hoping to get many years of productive use out of it.

This monitor is unreal. I use it for sim racing, and it’s like having a windshield right in front of you. 240 hz refresh, an a silly high resolution are both more than you would ever need. Very expensive unless you find an open box :) But it’s the single best purchase I made for my rig.

Great monitor make sure you have the room for it . Need to adjust the monitor settings for the color and if you game on this monitor. From out of the box is not that great for gaming on it . Make sure you have a RX 7900 XTX video card because at this time is the only one to have 2.1 DisplayPort . Old games at this resolution is great but for new games I had to drop down the settings in games just to get good frame rate . Also able to get HDR working on the this monitor for gaming .

Let me start out by saying I have never owned a curved screen monitor, I have always stuck to flat screens. Most recently I ran 3 x 43" monitors, 2 in protrait mode and 1 in regular landscape configuration and I enjoyed it but it just felt off a little bit.
When first researched vurved monitors non of them had the specs to match what I already had in a flat screen so I pretty much shrugged them off, once I saw the 57" Odyssey Neo G9 I knew this was the one to try if anything to replace my current monitor configuration. I can tell you I was not disappointed.
Pros: The contrast is amazing, blacks are so dark the monitor appears to be turned off in those regions. The sharpness and readability is solid as any 4K monitor I ahve had. The 1000R curve draws you in and is so easy on my eyes esspecial when i am multitasking and feel like I am have a great veiw of the battlefield on games that properly support 32:9 format. Refresh rate is very nice, even at 120Hz is it so smooth!
The Cons: The veiw angle is quite narrow, I ahve heard this alot from people, but not sure what they except from a curved screen as they are designed provide an immersive experience for user in acentered postion and are not meant to be veiwed from the side. The price is up there but I am a firm believer in that you get what you pay for.
The only warning I would give people who like me never have had a 1000R curved ultra wide is it is an adjustment period to get used to it. I was worried at first that the shorter height of going from a 43" 16:9 screen to a 57" 32:9 screen would bother me. I am happy to report that after a couple days of working with it I am more than happy with this purchase!

Excellent monitor, can drive a M2 Macbook, M2 Mac Studio, or RTX 3090 TI at 120FPS with the HDMI 2.1 port which is really nice for a dual 4k monitor.
Pros:
- Crisp font
- Double 4k
- 120FPS with HDMI 2.1 using double 4k or PBP with 4
- Bright monitor
- Lots of color and customization settings options
Cons:
- No built in audio.
- No desk arm solution yet. If you want to save space, wait for a arm to be released that supports this monitor. The stand is large, so it can get in the way of a keyboard and mouse setup if on the desk.
- Thunderbolt 4 to HDMI 2.1 does not hit 120fps (only 60 FPS option) for 4k (PBP) or dual 4k. [1]
- DisplayPort 2.1 is not supported on most devices. So if you are using DP 1.4 it will be slower than HDMI 2.1.
- Careful how you peel the packaging screen protector when unboxing. If you remove it very slowly, there will be minimal white plastic on the bottom of the monitor. Get a micro fibril towel an wipe it off, or use the same plastic cover and use the edge to wipe off the remaining plastic pieces.
[1] Maybe there was an issue with my HDMI 2.1 cable matters convert + HDMI 2.1 cable matters HDMI cable or a firmware problem on mac when using thunderbolt 4 ports.

I've been dreaming of this monitor for years and it delivers on every level. I work from home and spend easily 10 hours a day at my desk mostly working and gaming a fair amount as well which is exactly why I wanted nothing to do with OLED - too much glare and not enough brightness for working. First, this is basically dual 32 inch 4K monitors in one, allowing for epic multi-tasking at work. After work, the only thing limiting your visual experience is your graphics card - even a 4090 because it can't hit the 240hz with DisplayPort 1.4. Playing Cyberpunk 2077 on this at 4K Overdrive is the most beautiful gaming I've ever experienced. The PIP/PIB functionality is great for splitting the monitor between two sources. Worth every penny, highly recommend!
