It was good but then these bright spots showed up. Now there’s a dark vertical band that can only be fixed if someone comes to service it, which is going to cost more than you pay for the tv. That’s lame.

Great product as expected from Samsung. This is my second Samsung TV. My 1st is a 65" 1080 purchased about 4 years ago. Amazing TV as well. Needed to replace a 42" plasma that was in our sunroom. The older flat panels had very big bezels (screen frames). So with the new TVs you can upsize the actual screen size a few inches and use the same space. I didn't have space for a larger TV stand but this 58" still fit where I had a 42". Overall, yes the 58 takes up more room but it fit where I wanted it to go, so very happy with that. I was thinking 50"-55" but I got the 58" due to a great sale price and knew it had to be a 7 series or better. Got it just in time, NFL preseason just started. At this time there's only 1 thing that I noticed, there is some reflection when it's a very sunny day from my windows. All TVs have this, I think because this TV is 25% bigger, I notice it more. Any other room in my house wouldn't be much if any reflection. Set up and remote use is easy. I'm confident Samsung is the best money can buy!!!!

Back and forth with 65 inch, 6 series, 7 series ect. Went with this for the newer series and the extra port. It looks great above the fireplace. You have to have 2 people to hang it. Not super heavy but it's a big tv. Mount and set up about 20 minutes. Just find the wall studs, and use some heavy duty lag screws. I put 4, extra 75 lbs wall anchors in just with kids playing so close. Just me. The color was a little dim? Changed it with the remote and it rocks. The sound is good for family entertainment and living room watching. Got it for 499.00 new and couldn't pass. My first Samsung was 1,200 for 43 inches. Not on purpose but all our house appliances and tv are Samsung. Makes you think.

I've always bought Samsung products so I was expecting a quality TV, and I wasn't disappointed. The picture is fantastic, the Smart features is great, one button and it takes you to the app you want. I'm limited to the size of TV so I was looking for a 55" when I came across a 58" that fits perfect. Set up was easy and most of the was already loaded, if it wasn't loaded they was easily found and downloaded.

I've had this tv for 2 months so I've had some time to really know it. The picture is very good quality. There aren't many 4K channels available so I cannot review the 4K specifically, but we are very happy with the viewing experience. That's where our happiness starts and stops. It disconnects from the wi-fi constantly. This happens multiple times throughout the day. It doesn't disconnect if we're actively using the internet such as watching Netflix. Wi-fi works fine when it is connected. But it seems that if it is not actively being used it just disconnects. I wouldn't mind if it reconnected automatically, but it doesn't. We have trouble reconnnecting it manually. We have determined for certain that it is not an issue with our wi-fi. It is the only device that has this issue. We have Fire TV devices, smart phones, Smart Home devices connected to our gigabit fiber optic internet with a brand new very modern wi-fi router. The TV is not very far from the router. Our speeds average over 300 Mbps download on our wireless devices that are capable of that speed, and often 600 Mbps +. Other devices connect at their max capability with no connectivity issues whatsoever. Only this TV has connectivity issues. Often we have to unplug the tv and plug it back in to get it connected to the wi-fi. Even then it takes multiple failed attempts at connecting manually before we realize one success. Then the whole nightmare starts all over. And when it won't connect to wi-fi it also won't connect to a bluetooth device that is sitting right next to it. For this reason I have come to hate this TV. If I could return it I would. It is supposed to reconnect to bluetooth devices automatically when powered on. It does not ever do that. Once in a rare while it will display the bluetooth speaker availability in the upper right corner when powered on and give me a few seconds to click on it and connect, but that's maybe once every couple of weeks. I did a complete reset and spent an hour setting it back up. Didn't help. Tried to get support from Samsung. I got routed to someone in Indonesia who, after 15 minutes hadn't gotten past "let's power cycle your TV". I have to power cycle it every day, and I led with that piece of info so no help there. The internal speakers are fair at best so I have to spend another few hundred on a sound bar. All the manufacturers are putting the speakers in the back of the TV now so that's not a huge shock, but worth mentioning. I've purchased a fire tv cube so that I can never use the Samsung Hub again. The interface is terrible. It is not intuitive or user friendly and you have to navigate with the horrible tiny buttons on the remote. Oh, the remote...the icing on this nightmare cake. The tiny buttons on the remote control make using the Smart Hub or any other feature even less desirable. It is impossible to use the remote without frustration and wasted time. Important buttons like Settings, Select, pause/play, forward, and rewind are so tiny that your fingers will often hit the wrong button. No way to create that muscle memory you're used to with your familiar remotes. You know what I mean, your remote becomes so familiar that you don't have to look. You can feel the buttons and use them easily. Not with this remote! Tiny, difficult to use buttons. Break out the magnifying glass. This remote is supposed to control my satellite box but that only worked for a day. Tried to reset that feature. Waste of time. It never worked again. I tried to connect a Smart TV keyboard to the TV in hope that it would make dealing with all of this less frustrating. Most of the buttons that are supposed to work with my model of Samsung TV did not work, so I returned it and got a replacement. Had the same issue so it wasn't the keyboard. I now am stuck with a TV I hate. Don't waste your money.

Replaced a 55" Samsung LCD that finally died and no regrets yet. Easy setup and the box was smaller than I thought which was a good thing. Picture quality is excellent and the price was right. Has enough ports for our needs. Audio from internal speakers are pretty good as well.

I've only spent about 4 days with this Samsung TV hooked up, but I'm very happy with it. This is simply a great TV with only a couple minor marks against it. The 4K UHD picture quality demonstrated on HD/4K streaming content and 4K Blu-ray is great by my eye. This model is packed with awesome smart TV features -- my favorites being the direct integration of Apple AirPlay and Apple TV, mainly because these are still newish features for smart TVs. Casting memories, videos and pictures from my iOS devices has never been easier. I noticed videos sometimes skip a little bit over AirPlay, but I'm not sure if that's a Samsung issue or an Apple issue. I think it was because some of the content may have been streaming from iCloud and wasn't saved as a video on my iPhone. The only other nitpicks on an otherwise rock star TV are that the TV was a little bit of a pain to wall mount with extra work required to accommodate special Samsung stand-offs and a trip to the hardware store to pick up the right screws to connect it to a 3rd party mount. You WILL have to go through some extra steps to hang this on your wall, be ready. The TV manual is clear about the kind of screws you need to get and provides all metric measurements, so if you read and follow the instructions, it's not the end of the world. I also wish the Samsung settings menu came with a few more pre-loaded picture modes to quickly find the best balance for the show I'm watching. Anyway, this is a very satisfying, high-quality 4K UHD smart TV overall and a good value for the price. Recommended buy!

Samsung 58” RU7100- The only major disappointment is the background at night is super dark! I lowered the contrast and added more backlight as instructed by our sales rep. It made a small improvement but still the background is too dark. In other words, you cannot see what is happening in the background with shows/movies etc., that were filmed at night. Overall, the colors on this Samsung are very good!

bought this for my wife's viewing and departed from Sony for the first time in many years. Not used to Samsung's style/formats. It is nearly impossible to hook up coax to this as there is now room for that. Finally gave up, as that room has xfinity anyway. would have taken it back otherwise. Not thrilled about the picture either, and could never get the remote to sync up. Set up is very tedious. Wish I had bought her a Sony. Changed the picture settings during the World Series to vibrant and it got a whole lot better. Standard setting looks like you are in a fog.

I'm a huge Samsung phone fan, but wasn't a Samsung smartTV fan due to the reviews that I have read in the past about their sound quality. Generally I have read that it's almost a must to pair a sound bar with most Samsung TV; I have to agree. The sound quality coming out of the TV is ok at best and the preset sound dynamic is just ok as well. Sony does a much better job. As for the picture, it's great! Very sharp and clear even when viewing 10 + feet away. The options are plentiful when it comes to the apps that are available to stream. Very good SmartTV just need to improve on the sound coming out of the TV

Great TV. Excellent picture quality! I went from a 48” Smart TV to this one. What an improvement! If there is a negative, it would be when I turn off the remote the cable box does not turn off. I like using the Samsung remote but wish it would control the cable box with the one control. All in all, very pleased with this TV.

My wife and I just purchased a new home. Before leaving my parents house we bought a similar Samsung TV but it was 50" and since we have our own house now the TV was trumped by the size of the living room. Although the TV is considered an average size, the TV looked like a toy because our living room was so big. We bought the 58" Samsung TV and as it turns out, it is exactly the same as the TV that we bought before but just bigger. To be honest, I haven't used the TV that much since we bought it but it looks really nice sitting in my living room and the TV stand that we bought from Ikea. The picture quality is great and so was the price. My wife drives a Corolla and I drive a Camry and there was no way either of our cars would be able to fit a 58" TV into the trunk so we picked delivery service. We ended up getting the TV online and had them deliver it. It took a couple of days, I think we ordered it on a Saturday afternoon and received it delivered to our front door on the following monday. This worked out well because if we bought it ourselves in the store we would have to carry the TV up 15 steps and into our house. I was NOT about to do that and that's why I took a chance and ordered it online. It came perfectly and my son was able to get it up and running just like my other TV without any problems. I have no complaints about the TV. Only wished I got it a little sooner. If you're on the fence about getting the TV or not, I would say, take the leap of faith and I guarentee you that you won't be disappointed. I wasn't and my requirements are really high on everything that I purchase that is of any value. I never want to pay a lot for what I am getting. I am happy with this purchase and I think you would be too. For the price, you can't find a better TV.
