After days and hours of messing with the picture setting I can really say this TV have great picture. Do yourself a favor and take the risk and change the picture setting and go back to the default settings and compare until you get it right. I tried to copy settings from others with 7 series TVs but I love my personal settings and my fiance immediately noticed the difference. I can only imagine the picture when 4K content is available. Last time I checked I noticed that this particular model is sold out so I'm guessing I should be happy that I purchased it and received the great price with great features. I hope that it's not discontinued because that can mean that support may be limited. TV looks great and quality seems good enough but only time will tell. Setup was easy enough for anyone with no tech experience and connecting to WiFi was really easy. Just remember to get help taking the TV out the box and setting it on the TV stand or with mounting. Since it is a Samsung TV you do have features that are integrated to your Samsung gadgets so that will be a plus to those consumers. I can go on about the TV but give it a chance and experience it for yourself like I did and exchange or return within the guidelines to something else if not satisfied.

I bought this TV January 18th and set it up and was amazed by the PQ. I had bought the Sony 55x810c which was highly rated for its PQ. However, after having it for a day and almost fully satisfied (I wanted a 60", but Sony didn't have one in that size) I saw the sale on JU7090. For the same price I could get the Samsung at 60". I wasn't sure about the PQ on this as there was none on display and no reviews. All I read was that this is the same as JU7100 with some features missing (smart remote, voice interaction, PurColor, Wide Color Enhancer and Ultra Clear Panel). Now all that sounded like this TV was going to be a huge step down from JU7100 and also from what I already had (x810c). I still decided to return the x810c and try this one. I was surprised at how good the PQ was. It looked much nicer than the Sony and the PQ is almost as good as Sony. I am pretty happy with the purchase. It is a great looking TV as well with gunmetal bezel along with a much sturdier stand (Sony stand was wobbly and very lightweight). Now a little more detail (I am far from an expert so take this with a grain of salt):
1. Youtube 4k Demo: Looks amazing and on par with some of the higher end TVs on display at BB
2. Sports: Watched the NFL playoff game and Seahawks looked terrible (not sure if the TV is the problem or the team) - no problem with fast motion. Great clarity!
3. Regular cable: Looks really good, but some channels are better than others during live shows. On demand shows are all great.
4. Hulu: Excellent PQ.
Overall: I am extremely happy with the TV and the price I paid was just the right spot. Was able to buy at BB with a mover's coupon to get it less than $1k including taxes.

Bought TV at Best Buy for an awesome price and can't beat the 2 year interest free financing. The picture quality is AMAZING!!! Even at full price this TV is worth it! We loved it so much we bought a 40" version of this TV for our bedroom. You can never go back to regular 1080p HD.

Bought 2 TVs . One Sony 50 ‘from Magnolia Dept and this one. Glad we did. The Sony was far more expensive and yes this one compares to the Sony. It’s in our bedroom but is family room quality. If we had to redo... we’d definitely would buy 2 of these.

I returned this TV because of the poor uscaling in the TV broadcasting and also it was glitchy with the apps. Netflix would open up as pink screen with green lines and I would close it and reopen and it would be fine. I would not recommend this specific model of Samsung.

I was reading 4K TV reviews comparing TVs on other sites for almost 2 weeks. And yesterday when I saw deal on Samsung UN60JU7090FXZA model went to shop to check on. Honestly I was inclining towards Sony TV and impressed with LG TV as well. But for $999/- ignoring this deal would be a big mistake so grabbed Samsung TV yesterday night.
I was comparing UN60JU7090FXZA with my old Sony Bravia 46" HDTV. (have uploaded here few samples for your reference - This is not APPLE to APPLE comparison)
I am really impressed with picture quality, this TV has 8 bit picture panel, 120 Hz (240 motion rate) comes with smart remote and one connect mini (not ONE CONNECT). Plugging TV to home Wi-Fi is super easy, did find lag in TV remote control operation though.
PROS: Price, Crisp picture quality, Light weight to its size, Good Dolby sound, 3D enable (Active mode) - Haven’t tested 3D movie.
CONS: Felt like not natural colors (I like Sony picture colors), Sony has superb picture panel and picture never dims, if you are viewing it from 150 degree angle. This is not true for UN60JU7090FXZA TV.

I have to say that I was very excited to purchase a 4K TV. I wasn't sure what brand I wanted and I was unsure about going with 3D options. All I did know for sure was that I wanted to get a smart TV with wifi. I had a budget in mind and waited for the right price (it was a long and agonizing wait). I felt that if I was going to spend a lot of money, I wanted to buy the exact TV that was right for my needs, so I read and read and read. I read from consumers and professionals everywhere. I read articles about going from 1080p to 4K. In most articles the advise was that there was not a big difference going from 1080p to 4K. I had seen displays and thought about the picture quality and how it is a night and day difference so how could this be true. Anyway, I found this TV for sale at Best Buy and felt this was THE one to have. This model has 4K 3D options and is a smart TV as well. I paid for the TV and wanted to pick it up at a store to save on shipping. I hoped this idea would be easy and not a complete nightmare of waiting and issues. I have to say I was please fly surprised at the ease of this option. Now onto the review of the TV itself.
I was excited to set my new purchase up when I got it home and it only took a few minutes to go from box to turning it on, even with all of the other equipment I own. So, setup was easy and a great start. I turned on my television and instantly saw a difference going from 1080p. I understand that most programming on cable, etc. is not in 4K yet so I decided to. Begin my experience in Blu-Ray quality. It was all I had hoped it would be and more. I set up the smart options quickly and was on my way to experiencing great things. With the second movie I decided I wanted to see the 3D option at work so I began watching a movie in 3D, but was disappointed only because I did not have 3D glasses and I didn't know I needed to purchase them separately. I looked into buying glasses and was surprised about the cost and the tons of options and did not know which to buy. I bought passive glasses (because they were cheaper than active) and became very upset that they did not work properly with my TV. I had to buy active 3D glasses and when they finally arrived I found that it was worth the wait! Watching 3D is amazing (better on disc then on any other format and I don't know why).
So, having said all of that, I have to say that I will NEVER again go back to a non smart or non 3D or non 4K TV EVER again. Not only was it worth every penny I spent but also worth the wait. Samsung is a great company and this TV is perfect! If you are thinking about making this buy then I have to say...ABSOLUTELY!!!

I bought this set last week. Coming from 1080p I bought 5 years ago, I was totally mesmerized by the image. I'm on a budget so this purchase makes a lot of sense. Yes it's not an 8000 or 7100 but if you're looking for something economical, quality and features; this TV is hard to beat. My only issue at the moment is having my harmony remote play nice with HDMI CEC. Has nothing to do with the TV, just some minor bug I need to figure out.

Well someone Broke the ranks and put one on display somewhere(not going to tell).
Mounted right alongside a 60" JS7000 and the Sony XBR55X850C on the other. Based on the settings in the environment I witnessed I thought the Sony and JS colors were too Hyped trying to look like the OLED sets. Maybe we all want coloring book colors to paint over what real skin tones and flowers look like but not me.
Just on the other side of the Sony was the JU7100 which had a very similar appearance.
They were running last years Super Bowl on all the sets and I was Impressed with the Picture coming from the "FRANKENSET" that everyone is so upset about. Since I was shopping for a 60" TV I guess I was going to get the horrible Sharp Panel everyone hates so why pay $$$$$more$$$$$$$?
Anyway back to my Review....Opinion....Viewpoint.
I decided to Purchase the JU7090 despite the doom and gloom of the Elites. I hooked it up myself and followed the Cal settings posted on RTINGS for the JU7100 The Nerve of me!
We have Cablevision (which is Pretty Lousy) and it gave us a wonderful picture. Of course it's soft when Viewing 480i/p content you can only do so much. the 1080i/720P content is crisp and contrast is quite good. I watched some Netflix 4K content and it is obviously heavily compressed but the colors and black levels on daredevil reminded me of my Pioneer Elite Plasma. Local dimming works pretty well so far. As far as color shift off axis we haven't noticed anything until 45 deg or more. Up-close viewing is pretty solid too one seat is within 5-6 foot off axis in which I was force to sit in because the Teenagers took over my Lair.
The remote is OK for general use and the smart apps launch well with it. Not sure about using the smart remote some have said the Voice Recognition doesn't work so no need to purchase that. I have a keyboard that works with this TV verified by others so no big deal.
So far this TV has impressed me and the best thing about it is all the options that are worthless to me were left off so Hurray to Samsung keep the FrankenTV's coming.
The JS8000, JU7090 60" TV's will be gone from the stores soon so don't delay. This TV is a Great Value especially if the 65" is too big for your space.

Bought this TV to replace a Samsung 46 inch 1080p 120mhz model that gave up the ghost after many years of service. I was told not to expect the same picture quality at home that I was seeing on the store models but, I have to say that this is not the case. We cannot believe the sharpness and detail we are seeing and the picture quality is so outstanding for the 35 digital stations that I receive on my over-the-air antenna that I have discontinued my satellite TV service. Between the over-the-air stations, DVDs, and streaming from the internet we have plenty of content to watch. No more monthly TV bill.
The TV was so easy to assemble and set up that I was able to do it alone. USB connections are made via a remote hub that has a long cord on it for attaching to the TV. This is convenient as you can connect and disconnect devices without having to get behind the set. After set up and connections I merely turned it on and it simply guided me through the rest of the process. We were watching local stations, streaming internet, and playing DVDs in minutes. Once familiar with the remote. The on screen menus were easy to navigate. Turn on the DVD player and it automatically switches to that source and when you're done it will switch back to the original source without using the remote. I still haven't had the opportunity to try all the features available on the set and am looking forward to trying the 3D feature. The sound quality of the on-board speakers is OK but, I have a 7.1 surround sound system that rivals that of theaters. If this Samsung gives me the years of service that my previous set did I will be more than satisfied. Glad the salesman pointed me in the direction of this TV. Very pleased with my purchase.

Owned a number of TV brands over the years, and I have to say Samsung is the epitome of all TV's when it comes to quality, craftsmanship, and features. While I wish it had some more advanced features like I was used to on my Panasonic plasma. But the job it does with its presets is just right! The UHD/3D combo exceeds our needs. This TV helped to future proof our gadgets capability and connectivity. I especially like how easy it is to share pictures and videos with the TV from almost any device! I was able to get a phenomenal deal on top of everything else. Originally this TV retailed for $1799. But was on clearance for $999. Only problem is all were spoken for from the warehouse.... So my only option was to find one open box. Done! Found one 1 1/2 hrs away in excellent condition for $909. Called store and asked if they knew the store on this particular TV. Home Theater manager said yes.... This one never left the store it was a display model for 1 month. Winning! I picked it up and since it didn't have a box to go with it they took an additional $10 off now making that $899 plus tax. A STEAL for this TV. Needless to say we couldn't be happier! Bottom line.... Go get a Samsung. You won't regret it!

I am giving this set 4 stars, and not 5, because I have not yet tried out the 3D feature. Otherwise, I am very pleased with this TV. I paid $999.99 for it and it has exceeded my expectations. I have not yet viewed any 4K content, as I use Xfinity, Amazon and Hulu but not Netflix (which has the 4K content). However, the picture quality is much better already (I was using a dinosaur Sony Bravia 60hz, a fine set in its day) than my old Sony. Set up was simple. The Smart apps work with ease. As other reviewers have noted, you may find some motion blurring which can be eliminated by using the standard setting for auto blurring with no other features activated. Although I use an AV receiver and 5.1 channel system, the TV has decent sound quality when I use its speaker system for Hulu and Amazon content. Blue Ray picture quality is also excellent. Hopefully, picture quality will be noticeably improved once I have picked up a 4K DVD player. Although this is no high end 4K unit, I don't think that you can go wrong with this TV for the money. FYI, it has a true 120hz refresh rate which is good if you watch a lot of sports programming. That rate is not easy to find in this price range. Screen viewing from different angles is decent.

Great TV for the price $1000. Bought it in January 2016, I was looking for a entry level 4k (less $$$) ran across this deal and it surpassed all expectations . 60' screen just right size for the rather large room it is in, I wasn't looking for 3D at all but it came on this TV . One down side is TV should come with at least 1 pair of 3D Active glasses model (#5150GB). I eventually bought a pair at Best Buy $20. Pretty cool experience, even for a 56yr old man (probably just novelty feature for me) but the kids love it !!! I found Samsung 4 packs of these glasses on E Bay for $45.The Samsung model (# 5100 GB) 3D glasses work great with this TV as well .

If you are wondering whether to make the leap from 1080 to 4kUltra, the answer is definitely yes, Replaced a 10 year old Sony Bravia 1080 with this and the difference was amazing. Connections are very well laid out with the one-connect bar. Also purchased the Samsung sound bar and the integration of the two is perfect - easily coordinated with one remote.
Smart TV function is also very good - a big improvement over using a Blue Ray with wi-fi.
I have seen other 60-inch ultra 4k TV's go for $1400-$1600, but picked this one up for just $999 - not much more than you would pay for a 60-inch 1080p TV. Definitely a good deal.

I took delivery of the Samsung 7090 this AM. Aesthetically, the tv looks very sharp. From a picture perspective, in the minimal time I had before going to work, the picture surpassed my expectations. The color I need to play with but that is expected. There is no evidence of the soap opera affect once turning off all the image correction. The picture is sharp, detailed and I havent noticed any judder or motion blur. The picture looks great on 4k, and on a streamed 1080i copy of Specter, the TV looks great as well. The remote is a bit limited but Ill probably get a mouse and keyboard for it anyways. I think you would be hard-pressed to find a TV of this quality (that isnt a vizio). Ive seen the 7100 in person and this is easily comparable. Thus far, I am happy I saved the money.
