I love my 4K tv, the picture is so much richer then my 1020p HDTV, which I am give to cousin. I have not had any problems feel squad came and mounted on wall so I could put New LG shelf system on TV stand. If anything should happen within 5 years I am protected with feel squads extra warranties.

Spent some time researching a TV & once I found this one, it was a great price for what we wanted. Wasn't interested in the 3D version of this, so it worked out well. We installed it above our fireplace & had the perfect dimensions for what we wanted. Paired it with a Samsung Soundbar & now, we have a fantastic entertainment solution in our living room!!

I'm loving my new TV. I was wondering if non-4k content would look that good on my new 4k tv. The answer is an astounding yes! Now if DirecTV just gets their channels updated (and broadcasters too) to pump out 4k content all will be great!

I spent a lot of time researching TV's but in the end I wanted to go with a 60in+ Samsung as they tend to have more vivid colors than Vizio or Sony. Many people who have reviewed this TV were expecting it to surpass the Samsung 8500- there is a reason the JS8000 is significantly cheaper and lower on the series numbering. I bought it on black friday and the 65 inch JS8500 was $600 more. I think the js8500 is a nicer TV but would not pay the extra $600-700 for it.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with the JS8000. I have it mounted on the wall and the glare tends to be less then other TV's I had in the past. The 4k picture is top notch and the motion rate makes watching sports excellent. There also is sports mode which brightens the screen and helps with the sound which I really enjoy. The PS4 looks fantastic on the screen. I am not sure how people struggle with the remote since it is as basic as can be.
The only complaint I have is that older movies and certain shows look washed out but that is mainly due to the 4k TV and the films being shot in lower than 1080p.
There was an early reviewer who explained in great detail the differences between the JS8000 and other Samsung TV's (mainly the panel). As a result the TV isn't quite as bright/crisp as the JS8500 however I would argue that the picture is equal to/ better than the JS7100 (a better comparison than the js8500 since it is closer in price if you want a TV over 60 inches). The JS7100 has a slower motion rate which leads to more judder.
Overall the TV is great and I am very happy with the purchase. If you have the spare $700-$1000 to buy the JS8500 or are willing the sacrifice the 5 inches (I wasn't willing to go under 60 inches as 5 inches is significant in the room with the TV) then I wouldn't blame you however this TV was a steal at Black Friday prices.

PC Connection Problem Solved

I love this TV so far. My main initial thoughts when looking for a large TV:
1. 1080p should suffice a long viewing distance (about 12') so I should be able to save some money.
2. I don't need the built in smart features as I have a chromecast and connect my PC to it anyways.
3. Motion Rate = Refresh Rate (Hz)
I was wrong about all 3.
1. I am SO glad I spent the extra money on 4k. Believe me, I really didn't think I needed it, but it was well worth it. If you are going to invest in a large TV anyways, why not spend the extra $ and be prepared for future content and enhance the current content immediately?
2. The smart remote is very easy to use and I love the easy navigation through all the smart features, etc. Still trying to figure out how to turn the clicking off but I can live with it.
3. I still haven't been able to compare a 60Hz to 120Hz side by side with my own eyes. Just remember Refresh Rate (Hz) = Motion Rate/2. After looking online for a while, I chose to up to this 240 Motion Rate (120Hz) Model.
The only issue (not an issue anymore) I had initially that was kind of a deal breaker for me was the fact that I couldn't get my gaming desktop to connect. However, once I connected to HDMI IN 1 (STB/DVI) it worked just fine. Thought I would share that for anyone having similar issues.
Overall I spent more than what I wanted to, but it was well worth it. 60" is a very nice size.

Great Best Buy Exclusive TV

In all my research I was pleased to find this TV with so many features for a great price. It is hard to find reviews on this model because it is a Best Buy exclusive so I thought I would post one. All parts of it are up to Samsung quality and I don't think you can find this many features for the money. I was pleased to discover that this TV has no mini-box as some other upper level Samsung models. I wanted to mount it on a wall and didn't want the extra box with a short proprietary cable. So many great features: smart remote, 120 refresh rate, better quality screen. You should consider getting this if you are in the market for Samsung. Best Buy is the only one to have this combination.

Like many others the JS8000 came to my attention when looking at the JS7000 budget vs the JS8500 models. The JS 8500 being the 4K TV "benchmark" set as defined by "independant" online reviews. Because of the lack of lab test based reviews and the limited time option of buying at a great? price during the black friday period the purchase had to be partially based on confidence in the Samsung brand. My view: The Samsung JS 8000 has a great ( accurate color / sharp / clear ) picture with the primarly difference between the 8500 and the 8000 being true "Black" and perhaps some dark scene contrast. Using a calibration disk the color and contrast for the modes Standard / Movie and interestingly Native ( expanded color gamut ) were deemed good. Hopefully someone will post the results from a true spectrometer based test of the TV. This will allow one to judge how close to the JS 8500 this set really is. My subjective assesment: The Sports ( NFL / NBA) Pictures in Standard Mode are spectacular. NetFlix 4K in movie mode provides a cinema experience in a reasonably dark room. DVD bluray using Native or Movie mode provides a cinema like experience.
The Web features are easy to use. My key test is to look at a scene from a Wimbeldon or PGA golf event as the large bright green fields expose uneven or dead spots and poor color accuracy subjectively for me. This TV past my eye test. If you want the best "deep black" experience then maybe the more expensive OLED or the JS 8500 are for you. I dont have any data subjective or otherwise to comment on HDR performance. Depending on when you buy there is a $ 1,000 to $1,400 difference between the JS8000 and the JS8500. The JS 8500 is also bigger ( 60 vs 65 ) which is noticeable. The JS7000 is about $ 100.00 cheaper with fewer features and only a 60Hz refresh rate which is not good for sports watching. If you have to have "everything" consider the JS8500 if "good" is good enough then I would advise getting the JS8000 and use your savings for an upcoming 4K Bluray player in 2016.

First off let me say that I wanted to give this product four stars only because the TV wasn't Silver like I was anticipating it to be. I liked the Silver look on the JS8500 and was hoping for the same on this. I couldn't deminish the overall rating because of color preference although the description said it would be Silver and it wasn't.. I don't know why and I didn't want to return it being I waited over three weeks to get it delivered,,,, so I settled with the black look.. I was so reluctant to purchase this tv because of the lack of reviews at the time I was considering this tv. ESPECIALLY, when I read a few reviews saying the screen was from another company other than Samsung itself and the quality and proformance would be significantly less thus the price being so fair.. My opinion on that and I'm not a tv spec junkie at all,,, With any large purchase in price, comes a chance for a problem. I also read the Js8500 reviews and there were some reviews that said the screen was bleeding, blacks werent true black, etc etc... In cases of large quantities of production something can go wrong or be put together incorrectly. It's possible and likely.,, like when buying vehicles and homes. You may end up with some problems here and there in a small percentage of production unfortunately... My personal opinion although I did myself LOVE the Js8500, this Js8000 is really really nice as well. When in Best Buy looking at these two side by side the 65inch Js8500 is a monster. If you can afford that luxury by all means, enjoy. If your like me and you want a really good television for a little less money without purchasing the bottom of the barrel in tv's. This JS8000 is the way to go. Once inside your home you will love it. The picture is great and the Sports mode is awesome and trust me with this tv you really don't need a sound bar. I'm glad I didn't buy it right away in best buy. They did show a few in different price ranges, in particularly a $500 Samsung soundbar system... For that price I'd rather get a Bose surround sound system... but again,,, this tv doesn't need a sound bar unless you just want one regardless.. The remote feature is different,, in a good way, and takes some getting use to, but this TV is no slouch.. Great picture, great sound and so far no bleeding or lines in my screen. I would recommend this for the price range and size. Only thing this tv is missing is 3D, but if your not really into that like I'm not, you won't miss it. Blue Ray is good enough... I'm enjoying this purchase and my wife who could care less about the dynamics of tv purchasing,,, had to admit,, how much she really loves it as well... Great Buy...

I've had this TV for about a month and half. I was upgrading from an older 50" DLP 720p HDTV. Screen size was one of the top factors I was considering. 55" didn't seem like much of an upgrade and 65" seemed too big for the space/room. This TV is an excellent buy FOR THE PRICE POINT. I was able to get it for $1399, so it was a no brainer for me. Yes, you can find 60" TVs with better picture quality, but you'd be hard pressed to find one in this price range, even at the regular price. The only thing it really lacks is 3D capability, but that's not important to me. Bottom line is, in my opinion, it's a great 4K UHD TV for the budget-minded.

We held off on buying a 4K HDTV for more than a year before selecting and buying the Samsung SUHD. We had narrowed it down to 2 different 4K manufacturers because we needed a 60" to properly fit the space. In the end... we chose the Samsung because we scored a great BB pre-Superbowl deal on this TV. Connections and settings are very straight forward. The picture quality is awesome! We wanted the 240 refresh rate for "future proofing" our purchase and it is currently great to have for live sports and BlueRay movies, but we do adjust down from the 240 refresh rate for most streaming movies to eliminate the "soap opera" appearance (adjusting the refresh rate does take some menu digging). I have to add that the virtual surround sound is incredible for a TV with only two built in speakers.
All in all, very satisfied after a month of ownership.

I work in home theater systems, So believe me when I says this is a great TV. I'm not making up.
I waited and researched the best deal in a TV that will not only last you a long time but a TV the will satisfy you for at laest 8 to 10 year.
The quality of the picture in this TV is one of the best in the market at the moment. So If you are a sports fan. The sport mode will blow your mind. It's light and easy to set up.
You can basically get rid of all your remotes for other devices attached to the TV. Since the remote is capable of controlling other as a universal remote would do.
As I said. You won't be disappointed.
So far I been using it for a month and love every moment i watch it.

This 4K Ultra HD TV is amazing for sports & cinema viewing. The 240 (max) refresh rate is strong for this size screen. The pixel clarity & color saturation is exceptional. The built-in speakers are capable, but I opted for a Samsung sound bar with separate woofer. Great look for a medium-large size family room or game room. Found this in the Magnolia section & visited with these TV experts to learn about my options between competitor's makes & models.

I purchased this TV based on Samsung Quality and the size. It is a great value at $1700. Wanted to maximize the size and get the Smart sUHD 4K. I could only go as large as 60 inches so this TV was perfect. So far after 3 weeks no issues and the picture is great! Smart features are intuitive and set up was a breeze.

I find this TV to be good if you input a 1080 signal and let the TV "upconvert" it. If you have a native 4K signal, you will notice allot of motion blur while watching fast paced sports like football or basketball. Basically, you won't be able to see the ball once the quarterback throws it. Spend the time to calibrate the TV based on settings for the JS8500, which can be found on many websites that specialize in that. The panel is fine, don't listen to those that are worried that it is a Sharp panel, it makes no difference. It is a good entry level price point to get into Samsung's S series. Even better if you can get it on sale for a few $100 off.

Picked up this set from my local Best Buy Thanksgiving eve. First, out of the box after the setup I downloaded the latest firmware. Next thing was to adjust to picture settings which I am still playing with. What sold me on this set was the 120mz native refresher rate which I fell is a necessary in a screen this large. Smart hub works great with the built in apps. Smart remote needs to get use to. Never spoke into a TV remote before . Other than that just a Super 4K TV.

This TV replaced an 8 year old Panasonic plasma HDTV. Even with just a normal HD signal and the Samsung's upscaling capabilities, the picture is so much clearer than the plasma that it is amazing. With 4K, it is truly phenomenal. The Samsung is easy to set up and use, although the remote, which has very few buttons (no numbers at all) is probably too small for those of us with larger hands. That is the only relatively minor downside to this television that I have found.

SUHD nono-crystal technology feature really is noticeable and makes a difference...on the positive side. Color is deeper and richer than other UHDs I have seen. 240 motion rate (which I suspect is really 120 refresh rate) still makes for a smooth picture during motion. Still going through all the smart features, but most are intuitive and easy to figure out.
