This second tier model from Samsung is nothing to sneer at and at a Holiday discount, it was an excellent choice for use in a large "play/theater" room; excellent picture quality for gaming or watching movies, TV, satellite HD programs, and sports. Provides 240Hz so fast action is never blurred; no problems with dark/black backgrounds. The internet/wifi connection is also a useful feature and provides more options for entertainment. The overall design and weight is what you expect from a quality manufacturer.

This LED TV has a better picture than the reviews I read would indicate. It was fairly easy to set up and adjust. The smart features are nice, but when you have only cable available, many of the guide options are not applicable. I wish the emanual guide was more in-depth and written better. Overall, the picture and optional adjustments make for an excellent TV monitor for all high definition source material.

great set, best we ever had, incredible detail in picture and relatively simple to set up yourself. Simple to understand settings. The pad on the remote is a bit too sensitive; but otherwise, very, very impressed with set. I'm sure the remote will be easier with practice. Great experience coupled with surround sound system. Have not tried the 3-D yet.

Pros: Great picture quality, amazing 3d compatible, pre-installed applications. Cons: 3d glasses require batteries, disconnects from wifi on occasion, sound is very low even on high setting. Controller can be a pain as it uses a touch pad for navigation.

I replaced an 8 year old Vizio 55" with this new 65" Samsung. I cannot believe how much more defined the picture is. At first it is almost too realistic when watching movies and television shows. The Smart Hub is very clean and crisp and I actually find myself looking for reasons to use it. The web browser can display and play the streaming content that I cannot get through the app store. This is a huge plus for me - I do not have one but the keyboard would help this process. The television itself is beautiful. Form factor is so slim and looks great on the wall. I have it hooked up to my home stereo so I do not use the built in sound. That is the reason I left sound quality at average. The only issues that I have are with inputing the cables in the back - I was told ahead of time to make sure the cables were plugged in before I mounted it onto my wall...but you know how it goes, you always have to adjust something. My only other issues is audio out. I cannot get true 5.1 or 7.1 audio out of the tv. I have it hooked up with a digital optical cable and it does not deliver the feed that I wish that it did. I could run my components through my receiver as I did in the past but that defeats the purpose of the smart hub and easy HDMI switching. Over all - I love this television and would highly recommend it to anyone who is in the market.

My wife and went to best buy with the intention of buying a tv. Usually, I am a very cautious buyer, but this tv was an easy purchase. The picture quality was easily the best compared to any other tv on the wall in our price range, and it has all the features we wanted. The refresh rate is perfect (sports fanatic/gamer). I love that I can broadcast almost anything from my samsung smart phone onto my tv screen. I also love that there are 4 hdmi inputs on the tv. We have been using our tv for almost 2 months now and have no complaints. Btw I use a samsung dvd surround system, which also integrates with the tv to make operation even more convenient, so my 5 star audio rating is based off of comparison to any other flat screen tv that I have heard. I feel that any flat screen tv's sound system is insufficient due to space restraints, but this one is a definate improvement from any other model that I have heard.

This TV was stacked next to 6300 and 6400 series in the showroom. Believe me you will not be able to find a huge difference in the picture quality at the settings they had at the showroom. We purchased two TVs one 6300 and this one. When we hooked it up there is a huge difference in the picture quality. The 7100 blows away the 6300 in that regard. The remote is funky and I don't think it is user friendly when you have to swipe for basic functions. Netflix does not work sometimes(there is no audio from streaming content). There was one instance where all the apps disappeared and we had to install all of the apps. There was a software update for the TV which removed all apps from it. Apart from smart apps glitches, netflix and other streaming content not working and the remote, this TV is awesome. The picture quality makes up for all the short comings.

It has a great deep picture with lots of Smart Features and options. The built in TV Guide is very convenient. The remote takes a little getting used to. It has an Apple mouse or swipe phone screen feel to it. I'm not too hip on the chrome frame and TV stand. Looks like they were going for a retro look.

Love this TV easy to install, has a great picture and nice sound. Connection to enternet makes TV experience so much better. 240hz gives this TV and awesome picture. Cant wait for the surround sound and to mount it on the wall!

Easy set up and use is a breeze. The picture is awesome and 3D movies are spectacular. I can't wait for football season. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the market for a mid to upper level LED big screen.

This tv has a great picture. The quality is exactly what I was looking for. I went in looking for an LG with True Motion (my cousin has that model and I fell in love with it), but with watching the tv's side by side in the store and comparing the features, decided to go with samsung. I only have 3 complaints (none about the tv itself), the remote is not so easy to use so I still use the cable box remote, my cable company needs to offer more 3D content to use the 3D feature and the stores should really offer a way for customer to view the TV features in store through cable the way that we would view at home (rather than through a video loop) before making such a big purchase. Luckily, I was pleased with the picture quality.

Amazing picture : vivid, crisp, sharp, with zero motion latency. TV is very light. Set up is a breeze and munu are easy to navigate. WOuld highly recommend the 7100 series in any size.

I have had this TV for almost a month and I am absolutely pleased with my purchase. I upgraded from a 46" to the 65" and enjoy the latest technology in picture quality. Great for watching any sport, I especially watch it for hockey and football. Also a stunning screen for any gamer. I would recommend that you turn off the auto motion for everything except sports, because it makes the screen look un-filtered. I have heard that this is referred to as the soap opera effect and it really detracts from watching regular programming.

This TV delivers an excellent picture for both 2D and 3D images! Right out of the box, the TV is decently calibrated, but like nearly every set still needs a decent amount of calibration. After calibration, the set really pops! My only minor gripe is a very small amount of flashlighting. As mentioned though, this was mostly corrected in the 1117 firmware update. I really can't complain. I have it hooked up to a Pioneer receiver and 5.1 surround, so I can't comment on the audio quality since I don't use the built in speakers. I also use a Logitech Harmony remote, so I can't comment much on using the samsung remote.

Great picture easy to use. Everything I was looking for

Overall this TV is great. The picture is sharp with great color. Easy to hook up with cable and surround sound audio set ups. The apps are easy to use and numerous in number. The TV has more apps and features than I will ever make use of because there are so many. I do prefer a more traditional remote that has button for the features rather than making use of a touch pad to move around. Perhaps it just takes getting used to. The best and main feature of the TV is a great picture that is sharp and with great color. Connects easily to the internet to use the apps. I marked the sound at 4* since I have it hooked up to an surround sound audio 5.1 system, so i do not use the built in speakers. I am sure they are fine for TV speakers.

I owned a smaller screen size version of the same TV brand and was so impressed with the picture quality and ease of feature use that I did not have to think hard about choosing the same for my larger screen purchase. I did get caught out by the way the smart function on the TV worked because it was different on my other model but once I worked that out, I am totally happy with my purchase.

This TV has everything that you need for a Home Theater center piece, the resolution is great, features are really easy to use, if Samsung keeps making this types of TV, I don't see myself switching brands anytime soon.
