Got a great deal during Thanksgiving - close to $2K, when I bundled with a Yamaha Aventage A/V receiver. This TV has superb picture quality. The sound quality isnt bad either, but use a 5.1 surround system via my A/V receiver. Smart TV is good and responsive. The smart remote is nice while entering text. Very deep black levels, good contrast and nice upscaling. Colors are accurate and natural. I calibrated this using CNETs settings and it looks even better. Watching House of Cards 4K on Netflix made my day!

To start this out, I'm not exactly a videophile, but I certainly do appreciate outstanding visual quality. This TV definitely hits that right on the head. Pros: * Visual quality is outstanding. * Dark levels are acceptable * TV border is so minimal that its basically nonexistent * Light bleed isn't terrible * 3D works very well. Relatively seemless. * Startup time (into the smart hub) is really fast. * Auto detect of inputs is a nice feature Cons: * Smart hub can be quirky sometimes. * Integration with your cable/satellite provider is not really useful. It's significantly slower than just using the providers interface. I wish this worked better as it would remove another remote. * Setup is cumbersome, even with using a guide for "optimal" visual setup.

Great tv.......price was great in comparison to standard hide tv's in that same size. Lots of features to set the tv to fit ur room,video preferences. Easy to get started without loosing ur mind with the Instructions.

This TV is great! It's like looking on to the real world. For watching games is amazing, now I can see where is the ball. On other programs it looks so real that I can see the actors make up. If you have surround system with this TV you don't need to go to the movies! It was easy to install, is not heavy and it has lots of plug in's. I don't know all about electronics but every day we discover something new. We can watch 3-D movies, caller ID, I can check face book on it, and many many more things.

I always enjoyed 3D movies at the theatre. I am thrilled to be able to enjoy at home. I was surprised to see how in depth the screen is on a TV set. The brilliant picture (3D or 2D) makes all viewing a pleasure. As expected the sound is most acceptable but not top notch. A speaker set is remmended.

I have 3 Samsung tvs, the first two are standard 1080p hd tvs. Love them! My new one is 4k and 65 inches and I bought it for the future knowing there is not a lot of 4k video out there YET. I had no idea how amazing it would really be. The only way I can explain it is that whatever you are watching there was a person behind the camera filming it right? Now if you were standing beside the camera that is what it looks like. Pause the show during a close up and you can literately count the hair's on the actors head!! It gives a 3-D look to regular tv. Simply UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!! That's on plain ol cable, get Netflix or the like and watch actual 4k video and WOW just WOW! now scroll up and click add to cart and Buy it you won't regret it.

The 4K HD is awesome. Picture clarity even on regular HD is stunning. And the 3D is overwhelming looks like it's going to hit you in the face. I would recommend this unit to anyone. Samsung has done it again.

We spent several months debating a 4K purchase. After quite a bit of research and in-store side-by-side comparisons, we chose the 65" 8550. The picture, especially once calibrated, is breathtaking. Even 1080 content upscaled looks incredible. 2 things keep this from being a 5 star review. Our first one started powering off (by itself) and developed a decidedly greenish tint within about 3 days. Best Buy swapped it out without question and the new one has been flawless. The bigger issue is the sound quality. It is - in my opinion - less than acceptable for a set of this price. We have a full high end 7.1 system for watching movies and concerts, but sometimes, you just want to watch the TV. We ended up buying a Samsung soundbar with a small subwoofer because the TV sound was annoyingly poor. Our 50"6550 bedroom TV sounds far better. But all in all, we bought the set for the picture. It is as good as I've seen and, assuming it holds up, we are quite pleased with the 8550.

This is a fabulous TV, we could not have made a better choice. The picture quality is amazing. Our experience with the purchase at Best Buy was pleasant and straightforward with no surprises.

Picture is great, when you can find something in 4K. The lack of camera (sold separately) means that you can use some nice features like Skype. My advice: wait until 2015 when more content will be available.

Excellent television. A little early to be buying a 4K tv.. but blu rays look amazing. Smart TV is very handy. All apps are lightning fast. I have an old Pioneer Kuro so the Samsung's picture isn't up to that standard.. but its one of the best on the market

The 65" is perfect for my small living room (12' x 24'). It is definitely the center point of the room. The TV itself is outstanding as far as picture quality. I've never owned a 1080p TV before (I know, this is a 4K UHD TV) but man, does 1080p on BluRay look GREAT on this! My only complaint is that there are so many features on this TV that it's a bit time consuming and somewhat confusing to initially get it setup 'just right'. It's nice though to have all of the adjustable features. Do yourself a favor and get this TV, then, using the YouTube app search for "4k sample videos" and you'll be amazed at the quality of 4K UHD!

Incredibly clear picture, YouTube 4K videos look amazing. Upscaling works great with cable tv. One thing I don't like is the glare depending on where you have lights in your room. The screen is super glossy and the reflection of the lights have a rainbow glow effect.

The picture is truly amazing. I replaced a 60 inch Sharp Aquos set which had an excellent picture but you really can notice how the 4K set upscales the 1080i high def picture to something better. The audio quality is better than I expected it would be. The 3D is excellent as well.

A landmark product. This rivals the breakthroughs of the past like the Sony Walkman or the CD or the first HD TV's. It's that good. Most important of all the display is spectacular. From only a few feet from the screen, Samsung's 4K renders a flawless picture. That is the most important feature. The display from BB was a TS01 screen which is an original Samsung screen, not an outsourced one. BB delivered like a white glove service. The other little attentions to detail just make it that much more a winner. For example, a supplemental bluetooth Smart remote or a 5 ghz wireless connection. I can't believe Samsung doesn't tout the dual band wireless connection capability anywhere- it's mentioned only once in their literature- you find it. It streams far from my ac router at wired speed. I chose the flat screen version, not the curved, since to my eye off-axis viewing with the curved screen was distorted. I self-installed and it was easy. Given I would accept no compromise to the great picture, I paired it with an Oppo player- the best. Other examples of great customer service-- Samsung as a rebate sent me free a 1 TB drive with 4K movies (you can use the drive for other media too) and I purchased at a very reasonable price an extra set of remote controls for the wife. All delivered in little more than a week. And with the capability of evolution kits offering some measure of future proofing, all in all the best the TV market offers at a truly bargain price.

The picture quality is unreal with this tv, all the extra features from it being a smart tv are great as well. The TV is easy to use. I'm beyond happy with this product.

The picture is the best I have ever had. Blu Ray movies are up scaled to near 4K and have never looked this good before, not even on my samsung 55" 8000 series.

This TV has an amazing picture. Even olld westerns look fantastic with the upscaling. Haven't tried all the apps yet, but looks interesting. Very happy so far.

I use this tv primarily as a monitor with alot of screenspace and for viewing blueray. Dvds I watch on my 32 inch hd monitor. Good active 3d suppert.

The whole family couldn't believe how real the images on the screen look. The colors are vibrant and clear. We like watching the television much better!
