Awesome TV, picture is unmatched vs everything else I have seen. The one ssmall downside is the Wifi card hasnt worked as consistenly as I would have hoped. I have plugged it in for wired internet and no concerns since. great buy.

I am in love with this tv. My family loves it as well. I read there were some issues with the settings before I purchased it but I have not experienced any issues. I am just waiting for football and basketball season to start to fully enjoy the tv. I have watched a few movies on here so far and the picture quality is great. It upgrades the movie quality from streaming sites such as amazon and netflix as well.

Everything you could ask for in one package. Love the picture and pretty much user friendly.

We love the 4K TV - getting upscale images that are stunning, even on old content broadcast at 1080P. The audio still has issues with synching to images (the lips get out of synch with the audio for speech). Would have thought Samsung could automatically figure a way to adjust to synch. Synch seems to progressively worsen with hours of use (and we are watching hours of TV at one time...). Turning TV off and back on seems to correct the problem...

I bought this tv primarily to stream movies and live webinars. The 4k resolution is incredible when the content is streamed or played at the higher resolutions but it is still marginal when watching low grade content. That shouldn't come as a surprise but I must admit that the upscaling that this set provides does make a visible difference. However, it does take a while for the set to calculate but after it makes the adjustment the content resolution is noticeably improved. The only major drawback that I have found is the browser functionality and app availability. The browser is extremely slow even when hardwired with a cat6 line into a Netgear srxn3205 ProSafe gigabit router. The website ABC.com is almost entirely useless and you cannot, at least as far as I can tell, install the ABC app. Live streaming from a video feed is halting and sluggish at best and required me to stream thru my laptop and into the the tv via an HDMI input to work properly but YouTube works fine if done thru the preloaded app. Watching 3d BlueRay movies is an unbelievable experience especially thru a surround sound system! If you want a set to watch BlueRay's this is the one!! If you want to stream video via the web and not just the major providers (Hulu, Netflix etc.), be prepared to experience some major frustrations.

Everything about this TV is amazing. It's picture and its "smarts" will impress you.

It takes a while to get the right settings dialed in. I sent a chat message to customer service and got a reply that directed me to the correct menu to make the changes. Some old shows do not look real because they are so clear. Amazing clarity watching sports.

This TV is awesome! Beautiful picture. HD shows look amazing and 4K content looks even better. I did have to return the first one I got because it had pretty bad edge light bleed (white light bleeding in from the corner when the screen was black). Best Buy took it back no problem and the second set is perfect. Otherwise I am completely happy with it. I would for sure buy this TV again.

This TV was a difficult decision. I wanted a plasma but the one I wanted is impossible to find in stock anywhere. But I am glad I ended up here. The TV was fairly straightforward to set up, instructions were clear. I did have a lot of trouble with wireless but that is not the fault of the TV, it is the location I selected relative to the router. So I decided to run a hard wire instead.

I have been a fan of Samsung TV's for a while. I bought the 8550 because it was the best Samsung, non-curved TV that I could purchase at the time. At first, I was really impressed with the picture quality. That was until I saw my first 4K video. Don't get me wrong, 4k is nice and you can tell a difference on bigger TVs. The problem was the vertical banding I experienced, AKA the jail bar effect. At first I wasn't sure what it was, I thought maybe the TV needed some time to break in. The problem was, once I saw it, I couldn't not see it. I kept noticing it during different programs, especially ones that used a lot of panning and solid colors, and not just 4K content. I am a hockey fan and after I watched my first game, there was no way I would be happy with this display if the banding didn't go away. At this point, I took to the Internet and found out that this is a common problem with this model of TV. As other reviewers may have pointed out, these displays are not all manufactured by Samsung. Supposedly, the ones that aren't manufactured by Samsung are more likely be plagued with vertical banding issues and possibly other problems. Next, I started researching the HU9000. From all the reviews I read, the color uniformity on the 9000 series is reported to be much better. Not only with each individual display, but across the product line. I setup an appointment to return the 8550 (more on this later regarding BestBuy) and I ordered the HU9000. So far the HU9000 has been awesome. I have not experienced any banding issues. Although, it could use a professional calibration. The only major issue that I had during the ordering process was that I did not receive the Samsung UHD Video Pack, which includes 10 movies and 30 documentaries in 4K format. I think this was attributed to this purchase being an exchange/return over the phone. I believe that if you order this on the web, you will get your UHD video pack. However, if you buy this in store, you may not. Since there isn't much 4K content out there, I would be adamant with BestBuy about fulfilling that part of the order. On its own, the UHD video pack in between $300 and $400. Ultimately, BestBuy did fulfill my UHD video pack gift and it is in the mail, but I had to go to my local store to sort out the situation. Regarding BestBuy and buying online: I would recommend that the buyer be wary. Supposedly, you have 15 days to return a TV after you purchase it. If you order online, this 15 days includes the time it takes for the TV to be delivered. In my case, that was a full week later, so I had already lost half of my evaluation time, which I was unaware of. I assumed the time began upon delivery. However, in the end it worked out. Since I upgraded from the HU8550 to the HU9000 BestBuy still allowed me to perform an exchange return. I will also add, I experienced a lot of little hiccups during the ordering and exchange process. Such as initially not receive the Samsung UHD pack. However, by the end of the process BestBuy had more than made up for all the minor inconveniences and I would definitely buy from them again. I am a satisfied BestBuy customer and a satisfied HU9000 owner. I would not recommend the HU8550. If you own an 8550, do not go looking for the banding. If you don't notice it, don't worry about it. If you lucked out and got a display without banding, congratulations.

I wanted a 4k TV and had trouble deciding between the Samsung, Sony, and Sharp. I ended up purchasing the Samsung after months of researching. I am very pleased with the TV. The picture quality is unbelievable. Comparing this picture to HD is like comparing HD to regular cable-there is no comparison. It really is that big of a jump in the picture quality. The sound is awesome too.

We knew we wanted Samsung, this if our 4th Samsung for our total house count now. We wanted, large screen, clear picture and the Samsung name delivered it all. You fell like you are right there in the scene. 3D was so over the top I thought we were going to have to watch Avatar over and over again just to say all those Aws and ooohs. again I love all the APPS and still learning all the new updates since our last Samsung TV purchase.

I would recommend this TV to all. I thought a 65 inch would be to large but its perfect and the color on the TV is spectacular.

The 4k has unmatched picture quality. And the Samsung remote is awesome.

Perfect TV with amazing clarify and sound. It brings WOW factor to my living room. A bluray player with 4k upscaling makes a great combination Initially I though there might need of a sound bar for more clarify sound but the additional two in-built woofers does the job. Just ensure to use a good HDMI cable with higher transfer rate when connecting with any device

Overall excellent picture quality . Samsung has many apps and agreements with Netflix , Amazon and Ultraflix for 4k content . U-connect box should allow for future updates . Since my tv was made in the latter part of 2014 (chipset change), I cannot , using a computer , stream 4k content at 60hz using chroma 4:4:4 . This is contrary to what is stated in the e-manual and is a disappointment .
