This TV is nothing but AWESOME! I purchased it to replace an older 48" Samsung TV I've had for years. The picture quality on this time is amazing. And when you hook up a bluray player the screen really comes to life. Many times it feels as if Im looking out a window watching everything happen in real time. The interface offered and the ability to stream movies and apps is incredible. This is a must have for anyone looking for a new TV!

I bought a Vizio m series 70 inch first because of CNET reviews, once I had it up I questioned my choice, Samsung guy all the way. Kept going back to best buy and looking at the 7100 and ordered it. Its up on wall and couldn't be happier, Much sharper picture and more features. Side angle view has much less color fade. Don't hesitate to buy this tv. I own 7 Samsung TVs and this is the best of all. Don't waste your time on vizio !!!

GREAT TV!!! OVER THE MOON HAPPY ABOUT IT

So I recently purchased a house and with my front room being so much larger my little 46" tv just wasn't going to cut it so I decided it was time for an upgrade. I knew off the bat I wanted to go with Samsung because I've seen so many great reviews but actually seeing the TV in person was amazing. So I went with the 65" Samsung series 7 smart 4K ULTRA HD. Installation was a breeze instead of fighting with connecting all the HDMI cables it has it separate so you dont have ton of wires from the back of the TV. Once plugged in the set up was crazy easy to do. It does a great job walking you through every step of the way. I saw a few reviews about the remote and yes i see what they mean. its a tiny remote control with a pointer but honestly think about it do you wanna purchase a television based on it's awesome features or based on how detailed the remote control is? you decide. I found it very easy to find and change features of the TV from lighting to sound. Now when I was at Best Buy they were really trying to sell me a sound bar stating how horrible the sound is and how small the speakers are compared to the size of the TV. I right now do not have a sound bar attached to it and i am perfectly okay with the sound quality of the tv now if you are huge movie watcher and wanna feel in the element of the movie then defiantly the sound bar is the way to go but for right now watching tv/sports/netflix its prefect for me. This TV has alot of cool features from switching to 4D to 3D (no the tv does not come with glasses). Also the TV has voice control and the smart hub is pretty cool too. I personally wasn't interested in the smart hub because I DISH network and i can access NETFLIX through that app but it does have Netflix, HULU and other apps plus internet access.
Overall I am extremely happy with the TV. I have no complaints. The TV looks and works great, sounds great and while yes it was expensive I am quiet happy with my purchase.

Great picture, remote and netflix app are lacking

TV picture is great. Sports are fantastic and what you can view in 4k is awesome. Only had a few days and have to reset twice for netflix app to work, and now it just shows a black screen when I try to launch it. The remote is cool, but the layout of the buttons doesn't match up to how you hold it. Maybe it's just me. No numbers on remote, so you have to type them in on the screen too.

Good Picture quality but buggy software and remote

This panel gives a very good picture . But ..
The remote is useless. They eliminated a full size remote. The tiny remote and software associated with it is buggy and inconsistent. There is no quick way to jump to previous channel. The pointer gets hung up or lost. Netflix and youTube apps work but BBCNews, ,WSJLive, are not ready for use!
Samsung support is even worse! I tried to have a live chat but there was no one at the other end. I send them email but no response. Tried to send another email, but it makes you fill a form with model and serial no every time so gave up on sending them a reminder.
Their new OS for this TV is useless and the apps displyed do not work! The audio is mediocre so you need an AV receiver or a good quality sound bar.
Best Buy customer service is good to excellent! Will update this review once I get some answers and resolutions of problems from Samsung.

I purchased this 4k to replace my Samsung Plasma and Wow. Great picture with amazing detail and Features. So many calibration setting you will just have to see what you prefer better-I used some of the Cnet settings and ratings settings and LED buying guide settings. For the best setting for sports I found is in the Auto Motion Plus- Clear mode for fast moving events like sports and action Movies.Samsung is also adding a firmware update soon to add HDR to this TV so you get the best picture quality without having to pay the big price for the JS8500. You can not go wrong with this TV.

It's the highlight in our living room. Got it on blackfriday. Almost return it because Samsung smart hub was not working. Thought it was a manufacturing defect but when I google it, turns out it wasn't just me. Also we bought two tv's all samsung with the same problem. We called samsung 800 help line & they gave us a case number. I guess it was a known problem. After that we just waited for them to fixed their smart hub, so now it's all good. The screen is just lovely.

Best 4K out there

I purchased this TV, got it home, mounted it and turned it on. Picture was amazing right out of the box. I had problems with the one connect mini box being recognized by the TV and after about 12 hours, it stopped receiving a signal. Given that there are no HDMI ports directly into the TV, the TV is pretty much useless without this box. I boxed it up, took it to BB and exchanged for another one only to find the exact same issue. After a call to Samsung, I learned there was a batch of defective one connect mini boxes included in these TVs. Frustrated, I boxed it up and returned it to BB and they suggested I try the Sony XBR65X850C. Got this one home and the picture was pretty terrible. My "old" Samsung 60" 1080p 60hz TV looked better than this one. I tinkered with the settings, but to no avail. Went back to BB for the third time in a day. Decided to try my luck one more time on this model. Got it home and it works flawlessly. By far the best, crispest, brightest, and most realistic TV I've ever seen or owned. I think the problem with the one connect mini boxes might be have to do with plugging the TV into a power strip and there not being enough power to power the box too. I'm not sure. Either way, it's plugged directly into the wall and it works great. I really can't imagine a clearer TV than this one. Switched the sound preset to "movie" and it seems to be much fuller. If you are looking at a 4K, I highly recommending giving this one a shot.

Preferred my old HDTV

Replaced a smaller Samsung HDTV that was about 6 yrs old, but was really disappointed in this TV. The picture looked grainy. The viewing angle was really limited. If you sit dead center in front of the TV and lean to one side, the opposite side of the screen gets washed out, and glare from any lamps or lights seemed really bad.
On the plus side, the remote is very cool and there are a lot of options for adjusting the picture, and the 3D looks great.
We returned ours and exchanged it for the JS8500 and are much happier.

UN65JU7100FXZA - Not Impressed

Had for a week, not overly impressed. Returning it to get a Vizio instead. Has flashlight effect on dark screens, color is great after using some online calibration settings. The 4k looks great, but it looks great on any 4k TV, that's what it does. Also have a stuck pixel (always white) in the letterbox area for some movies after only a few days of use!? Edges seem to be brighter or darker depending on picture. Quality seems to be lacking..
****
----> Also Google "Samsung panel lottery"turns out I have a Samsung TV with a Sharp LCD, kinda misleading especially when I went back to store and found the display model had a genuine Samsung display. You can decode the version # to get the panel manufacturer. Sorry Samsung I used to love your products but this just seems sketchy.
It's not a bad TV, but I work hard for my money and to spend this much on a TV it has to wow me, and this one just didn't after I got it home. If I paid around half of what I paid I would have been happy with it, but in my opinion it's too much $$ for too little quality. I will say I hated the remote at first but after a few days I absolutely love it.. Wish I could keep the remote and use on another brand , I will be sad to see it go.

better than sony

I purchased a Sony XBR65X850B tv that lasted for less than 60 days. I loved the tv and had researched before buying. It failed. My local BB store was great. The Geek Squad was great. Sony sent parts that were defective to make the repairs. The local store manager (Matt) offered an exchange to whatever tv i wanted. I took this tv (Samsung). After all was said and done, this TV should have been my 1st choice. It is so much better than the Sony. The regular 1080P picture is much better, and the 4K content is great. I had to contact Samsung support for a "judder" on the picture. They were great and guided me through the settings. After we made the adjustment, the picture is perfect and I'm very hard to please when it comes to a TV picture. Sony support was terrible. They did not care and the agents I talked to did not seem qualified. Samsung's agent that I talked to knew exactly what to do to correct my concern. I'm 62 and had always bought Sony products. We did recently buy a Samsung refrig and loved it. We then bought a Samsung small TV for bedroom and loved it (it had to be the sub for the 65" Sony for two weeks and did a good job). With the success of the other products by Samsung, we did not have a problem buying this TV and it has not let us down. For weeks, I watched the Sony. Now I'm watching the same content on the Samsung. The pictures are much better on the Samsung. If you are considering these two TV's, save yourself some time and go with the Samsung, you will not regret it. As far as a place to buy electronics or appliances, BUY AT BEST BUY. You cannot get better service than what I have had form these guys (and it does not matter which employee you talk too). They are very price competitive, but remember, the lowest price is not always the best choice.

4K - Stunning

I was hesitant to buy a 4k like most consumers who say there is no 4k content out there, but this TV and other 4k does bring even better optimized and vibrant colors out. It enhanced all my 1080p movies so having a tv with a better processor and 4k ability does make it worth it. I got mine on Black Friday sale for $1699.00. Its back to $1999 today so I guess I got a decent deal, but like all TV's they eventually drop in price. No complaints here.

Great TV, when it works

Unpacking and setup couldn't have been easier. Watching sports and movies on it is absolutely beautiful -- deep blacks, minimal blur, no perceptible uniformity "blotches" -- and gaming is great too. The One Connect Mini simplifies cabling up to the TV, making it easy as could be to connect in or out different devices (by no means a frequent occurrence, but it happens). And the remote is so incredibly elegant, and universal to boot! I wish that's all I had to share.
Two weeks after buying, we're watching a movie with the kids when, 15 minutes before credits roll, the screen goes black and the TV goes into an endless reboot loop. It says the One Connect Mini isn't connected, but it is. Glad I bought a protection plan because Best Buy had a replacement One Connect Mini to me almost the next day and that fixed it, which is great, but now it's hard not to watch without wondering when it might happen again. Research it; the One Connect Mini has been a problem.
Then there's all the quirky stuff. For instance, my son calls me into the room because the remote keeps acting like someone's using its cursor control, dragging it over to the audio source list, and opening it, but no one's touching the remote and as soon as you exit from the audio source list, it happens again. Pulled the remote's batteries for a bit and things went back to normal.
Or when the TV's Anynet+ found my Samsung Blu-ray player and one morning decided the Blu-ray player had to be turned on if the cable box was turned on (both switched through an A/V receiver). Here's the catch: turning off the Blu-ray player made the TV switch to its antenna input and static because there's no antenna on the antenna input. So with the Blu-ray turned off, I changed the TV source back to HDMI1, then Blu-ray player switches back on starting the process over. Fixed this by disabling Anynet+ on the TV.
Yes, the software is up to date, and beyond these there have been a few other times I've had to cycle power on the TV, or on the remote, or disable some advanced "smart" feature (that I wasn't using anyway) to get the TV just to function. If I was reading this I'd be wondering if it was written by some technologically hapless Luddite; no, I'm a successful Electrical Engineer in an R&D role.
If it worked reliably, I'd give this TV 5 stars, easily. But from hardware to software, it seems Samsung didn't do diligence with testing before bringing the JU7100F to market. Hoping a software update patches these quirks. Time will tell on the One Connect Mini. Not pleased. I expected more of Samsung, especially on a higher-end model. They're better than this.

I exchanged an 65 inch 850C Sony 4K TV for this one. It is rated high by C R and I could not be happier. It looks great and it has a great picture! I also like the remote that comes with this TV is is simple but powerful. I set it up as a smart remote and it also controls my Directv box. A second plus is the one connect box. Now i do not have to reach behind the TV to move HDMI or sound cords. I had a 5 year old Samsung which I loved and this TV has not let me down. It was also a hundred dollars cheaper than the Sony I returned!

Amazing TV Worth The Price

I bought this tv to replace my 65" Vizio led tv and the picture is just amazing. The upscaling comes through very clear and has a nice picture and blu rays upscale very nice as well. When actually watching 4k content it doesn't matter what your watching you will find yourself staring at the tv. I used to have an lg cinema 3d tv and it does not even compare to the 3d on this tv. My eyes didn't hurt when watching 3d movies and the lines where very clean without that blurry image that messes with your eyes. At first I had a problem with apps but after an update everything works perfect and fast even when streaming videos on youtube. If your on the fence this is a very nice tv and worth a little more then entry level 4k tv's.
