We got this TV when it was sale for almost half price and I am glad we purchased it. I never knew that 3-D could be this good at home. So easy to use and setup as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to spend money on an elite model.

This tv has an incredibly clear and bright picture. The one major draw back is the cheap connect one box that controls the entire tv. The first tv I purchased had a defective connect one box right out of the carton. Three weeks after purchase I had to reset the connect one box again from Samsung because the tv would not turn on. If I have one more problem with the connect one box I am returning the tv for a different model. I hope I don't have to because this tv has an incredible picture.

Waited a long time to purchase this television. This is my 3rd Samsung and I knew what I wanted and did not want. Picture is clear and has depth. Caught it on sale during the Black Friday Special and saved $1000. Easy to use and love the simple remote.

We are enjoying our knew TV best thing we have ever bought. This tv is so clear easy to run and the 3d is totally amazing. I would recommend it to every on. It is evey bit as good as going to the movies to watch 3d . Just can't get over how awesome it.

The TV is great as far as video quality goes. The sound is not bad either, however you will need a sound bar at some point of time especially if you want a pure cinematic experience. One down side is the TV hangs sometimes and you have to restart it( from the power source and not the remote!). This however is a problem with all the smart tv's so I've given it a five star rating. The colors are rich and not over saturated ( like in Samsung phones). You can plug in a 1 tb hard drive and it loads up pretty quickly for a TV, plays most of the video formats, comes with samsung's hub which eliminates a mess of cables, 3D is pretty good. Upscaling is not as great as I expected it to be, web browsing is quite slow. Streaming via Netflix, hulu ,etc is smooth without glitches. I've been using it for 3 months now and it has performed pretty well so far.

Picture is great, the technology is a bit above the capabilities of actual cable providers. So while the 3D and 4K abilities are great, could possibly be worth waiting based on the abilities of your providers instead of the TV Love the TV though

The setup is easy, the picture is great. It occasionally will drop out of the current HDMI input into one that is not being used. I have my satellite box, blue ray player and a VHS run through an Onkyo AVR with the AVR plugged into HDMI 1. Occasionally it will drop into HDMI 2 or TV input in the middle of a show and have to be manually reset. I have contacted Samsung and updated the firmware but it did not fix the problem.

Exceptional color and clarity. The 3D feature is an added bonus, better than watching it in the theatre. I didn't need to buy a new DVDs player as my children's ps4 plays the 3D movies perfectly. I would definitely recommend this tv to anyone.

Picture quality is out of this world. Colors are vibrant, motions are fluid, and details are clear. Takes watching Blu-rays to a whole new level with a 4K upscaling blu-ray player. The 3D is mind-blowing. I now prefer to watch movies in 3D.

I purchased several Samsung televisions in the past several years. I wanted to upgrade to a 65" in our new family room. I set up the new Samsung and wow. What a picture. Love all the features. I would recommend this television to anyone

We've got an older Samsung 55" TV that we've really enjoyed, so when it was time to buy a new one for the family room, we were inclined to stay with what worked. But, I also did research on the other companies offerings, as there is some very nice products out there. I, like every other tech-geek, wanted a 75" or 80" screen, but our money tree just hasn't born any fruit yet. This left us in the 65" range, which seems to be the sweet spot in terms of value for size. The good thing is there is lots of choice, bad thing is there's a lot to choose from! We'd actually settled on the 7100 series, as it's got an excellent picture, and many sites recommend it as the best bang for the buck. So, Best Buy puts it on sale this week for only $100 more than the holiday sales, and we went to look at it. As fate would have it, the display wasn't working for that model. But, it WAS for the 8500, and the picture was awesome in the store. And, best of all, was on sale for only $400 more than the one we'd originally went in to buy. After seeing the 8500 picture, I forgot all about the other one, as I'd remembered the reviews for this model saying if you could afford it, get the 8500 over the other, with the only "negative" being it wasn't great for playing video games on. Since this is for movies and general TV watching, that wasn't a factor. Got it hooked up in about 10 minutes, and was just as impressed with the picture in the house as the store. Broadcast TV looks great, as does streaming Netflix/Hulu. Haven't seen any 4K content, but I'm sure it'll be jaw dropping too. Haven't hooked it up to an amp yet, but the speakers provide adequate sound for watching TV, but don't expect surround sound experience from it. As others have noted, the remote takes some getting used to. It could have the buttons a little further spaced apart, but we'll eventually go to a harmony and solve that problem on it's own. Hopefully it'll last a long time like our other one, and we'll continue to be happy Samsung customers. So far I agree with the concept that if you have to choose between the 7100 and 8500 models, buy the 8500 if you can spare the extra cash. Thanks to Best Buy for a great sale price so we could enjoy that experience!

I bought this TV on recommendation of the Best Buy associate. He really knew his stuff. Setup was very easy. Navigating is great with the motion-control remote. Connecting to wi-fi was effortless. I really appreciate Samsung products.

The JS8500 series is one of the best tv's available right now and perfect for the price. Compared to similar products at this price from LG and Sony, this model stands out in a good way. The tv offers rich blacks and whites and it's hard to get much better without spending quite a bit more for an LG OLED model. The smart remote takes some getting use to, but overall works pretty well. My recommendation for anyone who gets this would be to find somewhere online the settings to configure the tv once it's setup to view it with it's best capabilities and I'd highly recommend a Samsung soundbar. Like all new tv's, the sound quality is just ok and with the Samsung models you're able to connect everything wireless. Overall, this is a really awesome product for anyone looking to make the jump to 4k.

I have 5 grand sons under 13. I wanted a good TV for sports and 3D movies. This one did not disappoint me. Awsome TV when used with the 3D glasses. Viewing Football is great. Consumer reports rated this one high. I can see why

The first TV I ever bought was a Sony back in 2004. Since then, I have had three Samsungs and this newest one only confirms my opinion that Samsung is by far the best producer of televisions. LG can produce good blacks and motions but for overall value, I will always choose Samsung. I bought a Samsung soundbar to go with it along with the Samsung blu ray player and all three devices synced so easily and work flawlessly. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Apps are slow and sometimes lock up. Remote sometimes didn't work it like Tv has a mind of its own. Picture is great. 3D is great

We upgraded from a 42" Samsung to this huge 65" 3D Samsung. I'm not sure at all what advantage the "SUHD" is over HD but the picture is phenomenol! When watching a football game, I felt I was on the field. Haven't used the 3D feature and maybe never will. But do think that Samsung ought to include more than one set of 3D glasses if they're going to market this as 3D. Set-up was a breeze...with the touch of a few buttons, the set-up wizard took over. A sound bar isn't needed but since we had one anyway, we paired it with the TV with ease. The base is very sturdy and looks modern and was easy to attach to the TV. This price was amazing...we got it on sale at BB for $1999.99 which was about $400 off the price it was the week before. A great addition to our Family Room.

I was looking at several different TV and glad I decided on this on. The picture quality is excellent and is easy to navigate the apps.

I did lots of studying before making this purchase. This TV exceeded my expectations and I'm very satisfied with my decision and the delivery that was provided by BestBuy. The picture is superb and the design is very sleek.
