Purchased this as a replacement for my older Samsung. Excellent product the 3D is very good and the 4K is certainly an embellishment. I am very happy with the quality of this TV. Overall the Samsung is very impressive.

I bought this as an open box return. It is a fantastic TV, with a beautiful picture. The remote is nice, though I did substitute it for a Logitech Harmony. The sound is ok. Invest in a good sound system to go with it.

Love the sharpness, love the depth of Color, love the depth of field....hate the Judder. Surprised I read nothing about this in reviews. The Action Motion Plus menu item can be set to Off...the Judder will stop, but, the depth of field disappears. I wish I understood the issue better, it has something to do with the particular programs Frame Rate...so it originates from the Broadcast and the reason some shows are fine, others will display some Judder (or as I call it, shutter). I have 4 Samsung TV's ...not one has had an issue so I am convinced the issue is not from the TV.....its the Broadcast. None the less, its annoying because you either turn off the Feature which corrects the in-balance frame rate of the Broadcast of the show being watched, or leave it on and feel like your watching for the next Judder. For now I prefer leaving the Motion Action Plus menu item at factory setting, STANDARD.....and putting up with some Judder. The other annoyance, you pay a high price for the top of the Line 4K TV and its Remote doesn't have Backlit Key light...I mean using the Remote in a Darken room, and given the keys are small, I fine I must turn on a light to use the Remote. SamSung sent me another Remote as they indicated the Remote should have Backlit Keys, the replacement doesn't light up either. I plan to contact SamSung again.....on this issue and try to get a better understanding of Judder and the Action Motion Menu setting. So far my interaction with SamSung, which has been via Chat leads me to believe at the Chat Level all the Agents do is reference the User manual...they do not know the TV.

We are very happy with this purchase. The picture is great. It is simple to use. It is quite and upgrade from previous technology. The only downside is Samsung should provide two pair of 3D glasses instead of just one.

I've had my eye on either this TV or an LG one and this one won out because of the reviews I had seen. Both look great but this one has the active 3D rather than passive, allowing full resolution with 3D images. I really like the upgrading of all inputs to near 4K resolution, but you do have to take care in the set up to avoid the "soap opera" look, unless you like that. I ran a basic color calibration on a blu-ray disc which helped the color balance and Image quality quite a bit. The blacks are DARK but it is easy to keep dark shadow detail visible. I replaced Panasonic 54" 1080p plasma TV with this one, thinking the black level would not be as good, but this blows the Panny away. I like everything about this TV so far and would highly recommend it.

Great picture quality. Glossy screen finish prevents room light from washing out the image. Color looks true out of the box and you can adjust it further if you wish. Handles fast motion in sports very well - no blur.

I purchased this TV over a month ago to replace a top of the range 55" Samsung 3d TV. I compared, hoom'd and ha'd over this TV and the Sony of similar price range. After calibrating and viewing I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I made the right choice. The picture is amazing! DirecTV signals are crisp, particularly when watching sports. Netflix 4K content is outstanding. Upscalling of BluRay is also awesome and the 3D performance blows my out going set away. Do it!! You won't be disappointed.

Best tv I have ever bought. Great picture very clear and sharp and color is so vivid. Makes me feel like what am am looking at is for real up close and at a distance.

1 week previous to making this purchase, I had purchased the Sony 810C and my experience was absolutely awful. The Sony has terrible flash-lighting and although I hoped I would win the "panel lottery" and not see the same things some others have seen with the panels, it just wasn't the case. The quality-control on that Sony was so bad, I don't know how it made it off of the production line. Roll-forward 1 week, I pulled the trigger on this Samsung, had it delivered and returned the Sony. The difference is night and day. The blacks are black, the motion is good, the clarity is exceptional. If you are looking at 65" SUHD in this price range and you don't look at this JS8500 model, I promise you'll do it after buying the other junk out there.

Beautiful picture. The difficult part is finding content that can utilize the full potential of this TV. I still have not found any content that utilizes the color bonus this TV offers. The apps are great, with a smart hub button on your remote that brings up the apps for easy selection on the bottom of your screen. I have been using netflix, amazon video, youtube, and I downloaded a few games for fun. My only issue with the tv, is that it sometimes freezes when I am browsing through the smart hub selection screen. This is rather annoying. Excellent TV overall (Buy it while it is on sale!)

The picture is amazing, even without 4K cable. We have a ROKU account and some of their content is 4K and wow! Set up of the TV stand is little awkward especially for a 65 inch. We didn't want to use the couch and have it hang over the edge or our lot smaller ottoman. We took two end tables, put 3 blankets on them, laid the TV carefully on the blankets and attached the base stand. Would recommend two people do this. ALSO, the instructions state do not put pressure on or grab the screen. This is a must as I've seen screens that had those "finger prints". There isn't a physical users manual. Must go online or use the one provided in the smart portion of the TV. After the stand was attached, everything else went very smooth. Enjoy.

This TV is beautiful!! The picture is amazing. Haven't had any issues with it and I have no complaints. The 3d was impressive. The apps I've tried (Netflix and Pandora) load faster than any other TV I have had.

finally went for a 4k tv and i found the right one. besides the great picture the extra apps re awesome. love the remote and ease of setup. make sure to look for sales i got it for $1300 less than regular price.

hands down the best tv I have ever owned. right out of the box, the tv is absolutely beautiful. Best Buy delivery was also excellent! highly recommend this set, you won't be disappointed. great price as well.

This set offers an excellent picture that is noticeably better versus my previous HD television (I guess due to the upscaling). Remote is very handy as well, especially in accessing apps like Netflix, etc.

This TV has a very clear picture. And I have a 3D version of the Martian which looks amazing, thinking that I would of bought the ultra high definition blu-ray if didn't already buy the 3D version. It would look great. I have only had tv for about a month, and Samsung has not let me down. A lot to still explore if I had more time.

Picture quality is clean and real with real life color. This is the best tv in my opinion with price. Only slightly better tv I found compared to this was OLED and SHUD curve which was double the price.

The picture is stunning. I have a viewing distance of around 9 feet and after a lot of research, I went with the 65 inch version of this. Definitely the right size. After comparing and viewing the various high end 4k TVs, I went with this one. The picture quality blew away my expectations and especially with 4k content (while limited, Netflix does have some). On a side note, the best buy delivery service was great. Two guys came in unboxed, assembled and set up in less than 10 minutes and took all of the garbage with them. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

After about a month of usage, I am very pleased with this TV. The picture is superb and I'm excited about more 4k offerings coming soon. The 3D capabilities of this TV are far better than I expected.

This is an excellent tv to purchase for 4K viewing and for upconversion of 1080P to 4K. This is my second 4k tv, the first one is a samsung UN55JS7000 and i though that tv looked great but compared to the UN65JS8500 its a night and day difference. The colors are alot more vibrant and the 240 HZ refreah rate makes the tv look even better. I do have a samsung ubd-K8500 and a couple of 4k movies and it does great and accepts the 4K @60fps with no problem. In fact with the 60fps it enhances the 240HZ for a much more realistic and smoother picture. The speakers are not that loud due to how thin the tv is but i have a 7.2 klipsch home theater system so im not too worried about the tv speakers, with that said bluray movies looks amazing and almost just as colorful and sharp as the 4k bluray movies, when it comes to dvd it does ok but you can tell that the tv is trying too hard to give you a good picture and dvds can look a bit on the blurry side. I have Hopper with Sling from Dish Network for my regular tv viewing and again with 1080i and 1080P it looks excellent like bluray quality but when it comes to standard definition 480i it looks about the same as dvd. When it comes to 3D movies which at the moment i only had Disneys Cars to test, it actually looked great and made the picture looked awesome. In fact it looked better then the movie theater quality 3D. However i was pretty dissapointed that the tv only came with 1 yes only "ONE" 3D glasses for 1 person. Most tv manufactures at least included two which i consider a pair for 2 people. So if your wondering how many 3D glasses come with this tv, it only comes with 1 3D glasses for One person only. The 3D glasses cost 20 bucks each here on best buy and pretty much every other website i checked including direct with samsung so you will have to purchase more if you really want to use the 3D effects on this tv for your family at home. With that said i would still highly recommend it. I personally wanted the UN78JS8600 but its no longer being sold and when i went to my local store i did not want to purchase the display model due to all the hours its on at the store, it will just have a shorter life span. The one Connect box mini cable is only 6 feet long so keep that in mind for tv placement, HDMI 4 is your only ARC connection for AV receiver. However they are all HDMI 2.0A and HDCP 2.2 compatible.
