Just bought this for a new home. It is really great. Excellent picture. Lots of features. The streaming for netflix works just as well as my roku did but I wish they had more options for streaming.

I bought this TV on black Friday at a great price. The price was even a couple hundred of dollars lower 6 weeks later. However not disappointed with the deal that I got. This TV has an excellent picture and it is easy to set up. The TV is super bright even in direct sunlight but the TV's reflective screen can be distracting sometimes. I really like the mini connect box that is separate from the body of the TV. Made reaching the HDMI connections much easier. Some of my family say the TV picture is too realistic and bothers them. They feel like they are watching a play instead of a movie sometimes. I honestly don't understand how anyone can complain about a TV picture being too realistic, so go figure. The TV itself is great but the stand that comes with it is cheap and unstable. I table mounted it in my rather nice home entertainment center rather than wall mounting. The TV is wobbly on the stand and it is hard to level the TV perfectly on the stand. For the price of this TV samsung could have provided a better stand even though every consumer may not use it. Other than that very satisfied with my purchase.

Moving from a Viera Plasma to my first LCD I was a skeptic but what a pleasant surprise this set is. It's truly stunning once I applied the picture settings I found on CNET. While the content for HDR is minimal at this time watching Amazon's Mozart in the Jungle is impressive. There are some issues I'm not happy with but I gave it 5 stars because of the picture quality. The ARC (audio return channel) functions in a very wonky fashion and I finally had to just turn it off but I didn't buy the set for this feature, I didn't even consider it in my purchase study. So if you just like that "wow" factor and you're not ready to drop the skins to get an OLED, this set is a wonderful option.

Amazing picture compares to my older 4K TV, easy setup, upscale 2D to 3D is a great feature. I can watch sports and HD channels with a 3D glass. I am glad I purchased this TV on Black Friday sale.

This TV produces a great 4D picture as would be expected but we were really surprised by the quality of regular channels and even old movies. The remote with the pointer is very user friendly.

Nice picture. The sound is awful esp for top of the line 3,000. TV. Had to buy a sound bar to get quality sound. The sound skips at least 2 or 3 times and there are moments where the picture has spots that are very pixelated every time I watch it. Over all it is a nice tv.

Bought the 8500 as a replacement for an older Samsung LED TV. Have had this model for a month. TV is wall mounted and paired with Samsung Sound Bar. Picture quality is superb...sharp image with no motion blur during high speed programs (Auto Racing). Colors are brilliant and the overall picture quality is best I have seen in a non-oled TV. Best Buy had this TV at a fantastic price so combo of quality & price clinched the deal. Also decided to purchase the 5yr Protection Plan + Geek Squad Install Bundle which I found to be a good value. Installers were real pro's. If you are wall mounting a large screen TV, live alone or are a "Senior" you might want to consider this.

Very nice TV with a great picture. I wish the internal speakers were better than they are. There should be no reason to buy a soundbar but you almost have to with this TV. It sound trivial since most people buy sound systems as well but the internal speakers should be better.

I researched various publications comparing all name brands 4K -3D Televisions and how they are equiped with features and the processor it runs under and outside of the 4K LG OLED highend series which are priced at $4999 and higher the Samsung UN65JS8500 is a next generation model that is already future proofed for all 4K signals when the cable and satellite companys provide the service down the road! The Nano Crystal upgrade for the color brightness and clarity is amazing! The 4K viewing when you stream limited 4K content from YouTube, Netflix or Amazon Prime is amazing as well! The black friday sales price was so great that i had to buy it. Samsung quality at its best!

excellent picture quality. 4k from youtube is breath taking. rvu does not function properly for directv. had directv tech. come out and install rvu and lost some functions on tv. working w/ bestbuy techs. found out that the rvu will not work on this model. so if you want to use the rvu forget it on this model

Samsung has done a great job with this television. The black levels are outstanding and the picture detail is second to none. This was THE television of 2015 as far as I am concerned.

Colors are brilliant and images look almost real. Control is easy to use and the screen can be seen clearly from close up, far away or from the side. Highly recommend this television.

I purchased the Samsung 65" 1080p Smart TV a couple of years back and loved it. I purchased this Ultra 4K as a replacement and using the 1080p model as a second TV. I did not think the quality could have be any better, but the Ultra 4K is absolutely amazing! The quality of the picture makes you feel like you are in the same room with what you are watching. I can not recommend this TV any higher. Samsung owns the TV market and this TV rocks!

We spent a lot of time reviewing televisions before buying and always came back to the Samsung. This TV is absolutely the nicest picture I've ever seen. Easy to hook up and operate.

The picture quality is excellent with this television, and the setup is easy. One thing I would improve on is the fast forward and rewind interface with the remote as well as a few software bugs which should be taken care of in the next few months with downloadable updates to the television itself.

...ok, except for the speakers...but if you are seriously watching a 65 inch 4K TV without at least a soundbar then time to embrace the future. You will NEVER get great sound from a TV that's a little thicker than a piece of plywood. This TV is remarkable. The easiest way to describe it is that the picture quality is so clear and crisp that sometime regular 2D programming looks 3D. You can seemingly see around things on the screen. I bought this TV when it went on sale for just a few days down from $3000 to $2000 and it may be the best value I've ever gotten. Forget curved screen - it looks neat but doesn't really offer any real benefit.

This is a great TV. The picture is crisp and it is significantly better than other TVs on the market. It is nice to be able to see 3D movies right in the comfort of your own home.

My husband and I have had this TV for about a month now and we both love it! The picture quality is amazing and we are using a sound bar for the sound and it was easy to get them in sync. The remote could use some help, but we just use the universal remote from the Dish for most operations. The remote has a pointer which takes some getting used to when we use it for other functions. Love the apps that come with it. The only thing that would be nice is if it would allow the flash player to be downloaded for web browser, but we have the computer for that. So it is really not a huge deal. Would definitely buy again and recommend to a friend.

When I first started looking for a new TV I was leaning toward the Samsung UN65JS7100 for picture quality and price. My dream TV was the Samsung UN65JS8500 this series had the nano crystals which in my mind and eyes really made the picture color pop and had the 240 refresh rate but it was $3200.00 more an I could afford. I was watching prices and when my dream TV the Samsung UN65JS8500 price dropped from $3200.00 to $1999.99 ( $1300.00) price drop I bought it !!! What a picture! I added a Samsung sound bar and I'm in HEAVEN watching Netflix, Amazon Prime movies and my football and hockey! Buy it if you get a chance you will love it!!!

After trying to find a diamond in the rough, trying to find a TV that was the best combination of size, features, picture quality and price, trying first an LG set and then a Sony, I ended up with this TV and couldn't be happier. I scored this when BB was having a huge sale on Samsung TVs so I admittedly got it for a great price, but for what I paid I haven't found anything else that could compare. The 4K picture quality, colors and, to my surprise, 3D mode are the best I've seen. My only minor complaint is with the Tizen SmartTV OS, which demonstrates bugs here and there. Otherwise, as stated, this is the best TV I've ever owned.
