I reviewed this TV for months. Reading reviews from best buy, rting.com, and other internet sources. All said this TV excluding the OLED's was the best for the buck and boy were they right. Colors are bright, and the smart functions are easy to use. I got it for the black Friday price which saved me 1K from the price back in October.

Bye bye Sony X850C This samsung just blew you away! Had purchased Sony X850C 55'' TV and i have to tell you, its apples to oranges with the picture quality! Yeah the Apps on the Sony where much faster & easier to navigate. So i purchased this Samsung & plugged it in. Bam everything was crystal clear & right on. Thank you Samsung!

I love the brilliant color of the picture, easy to use

The picture quality is great, which is what most of us are after. The sound quality on the other hand is average compared to other TVs, but I use a home theater system anyway, so I don't care. The smart features are convenient and work just as expected. I do have some concerns about the quality control of these TVs. I had to return the first TV because of a dead pixel. The second one had a slight defect in the plastic on the bottom right corner, but it was not enough for me to want to take it off the wall again and return it to the store. All that being said, I strongly recommend purchasing these TVs from a store were you can take it back if needed. One additional piece of information. If you are going to mount the TV on a wall, make sure you have a full motion mount. I mounted it the first time on a fixed bracket and a 65" TV is wide enough for me to really struggle getting my hands to the locking mechanism. Therefore, I purchased another bracket before mounting it the second time, and it made a huge difference. Overall, I am giving this TV a perfect score because the picture quality is brilliant. I highly recommend it.

The picture on this TV is outstanding! Even composite video upscales to look great. Functions and Smart features are great. My only complaint is the pathetic 3D - even with active glasses. I was used to my LG which had spectacular 3D but malfunctioned after 2 years. The 3D on this Samsung is dim and lacks depth, particularly in the emulation mode. Otherwise, a really nice TV.

I replaced my 36 inch Sony with 65 inches of pure perfection. Up on the wall so tons of space saved. Less heat and way better screen. I think it's smarter than me sometimes. Because I didn't even have to set it up.

Picture is very clear and it was very easy to set up.

I recently upgraded my other Samsung TV for this 65" I absolutely love this TV. The only thing I have noticed as of yet is that the TV companies are not up to 4K speed yet. You can still get 4K YouTube and Netflix. I also got the wireless sound bar and was the easiest thing ever to hook up! Sports also look great on this TV.

This is a great tv. When we went into the store my wife did not know which set I was looking at. When I asked the sales person where this model was he said over there on the wall. This was the set my wife was looking at and loved because of the great picture quality. It was easy an easy sell to her. Happy wife, happy wife.

Going from one of the first flat screen Sony TVs made to this is amazing. We had a great 12 or so year old TV that wouldn't die but we couldn't resist the exceptional quality of this Samsung so after debating for awhile, the sale price motivated us to take the leap. Why go to a movie theater when you have a TV like this?

Best picture I have ever had for a TV...Except there are some minor flashlighting and edge bleed issues. However, this is expected for any edge lit LCD TV and is not limited to Samsung. Nevertheless, the minor issues are there and I am very happy with the TV

Great picture and good price for the samsung 4k tv

I have had this TV for 2 months and it is amazing! The picture quality right out of the box is great and love all the app choices. I can't wait to see more 4k content. Best buy did my install and they did a flawless job, I am extremely happy with everything!

purchased about a month ago. Easy to setup and anent let me interface with my receiver and DVD play. Picture quality is great.

I read reviews on this tv . They sounded too good to be true...but here I am agreeing with everything. The picture is beautiful (see http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/js8500 for calibration in movie mode). Great brightness, blacks and awesome uhd. My NFL games never looked anywhere near as good in sports mode.

Great tv, picture is amazing, I love the apps (Netflix, Amazon, UltraFlix, etc). Only complaint is that the directv rvu is a little buggy, text in the guide and program list gets garbled sometimes, sometimes it has trouble switching from an app back to the rvu. Otherwise it's great and got a crazy good deal on it.

We were able to snag this tv at a low price during the holidays. I would gladly pay full price for this TV if I had to do it over again because it is a show stopper. There are a few minor picture quirks, as with all LED backlit tvs, but it is as close to perfect as this technology will get. Highly recommended!!!!
