Bought this TV after a lot of investigation. Almost bought the Sony, however the picture was just too good on the Samsung. The smart TV feature is fantastic as you can watch Facebook and most any application you use on your computer. You won't go wrong with this one.

After receiving a replacement for the original TV that was brought to my home and installed, a replacement was brought because the original TV stand was crooked and could not be straightened out. The replacement TV stand is level and TV operation and picture is great.

I first bought a curved screen version of this tv but the room lighting caused a lot of reflections. Returned the tv for this one and I have been very pleased. The sharpness and color are great! Have gone on You Tube and downloaded 4K content and its outstanding

The picture is very good and we are pleased. Comcast is hoping to flip the switch on 4K once there are enough 4K TV's purchased, so of course we are in hopes that will be very soon. Comcast doesn't deliver 4K yet. Hoping the picture becomes awesome at that point..

Shows look live, almost 3D in 2D mode. Truest color I've ever seen in a TV. Easy set up. No adjustments were needed of any kind. And it's DirecTV ready. DirecTV offers a 4K miniGenie for 4K broadcasts which makes a great TV even better. Love it! Can't say enough!

Excellent TV and with the Sonos sound Bar I'm a very happy guy!! The 65" is perfect for the room we bought it for. Picture and sound blow me away. Do it! :)

I might have put the model number down wrong but this TV is awesome the only one difference between the 9000 + 8500 SJ is 1 inch curved but this is worth the buy if you want to save a little bit you're getting the same TV I highly recommend it I have 3 of them

I had a 7 year old 55" Sony Bravia XBR that this Samsung was replacing, which was a tall order to do, but the Samsung is performing excellent. I read many reviews before purchasing the Samsung 65" UHD TV. I have it for 2 months now and the picture on the TV is superb, the sound is really good, all picture and sound adjustments are very easily performed, that's why i purchased it, everything else is secondary to me, plenty of usb ports, web browsing, netflix, 3D (I will probably never use). If you are searching for this size TV don't hesitate on purchasing it! Very Satisfied!

Pro: Hands down this is an amazing tv. I would buy it again. The speakers work fine for the room that it is in. There is a little back light coming through on dark images, but no where near the amount present on prior Samsung models that we own. The color is really amazing, so much so that when compared to other units, it was such an obvious improvement that we had to buy it. Con: The new cable connection system is very odd, and makes in wall installation a bear, since the cable is on the shorter side . It needs to be another 2ft longer at minimum. For those of you that do not know this comes with a hub, in which all the digital av connections are tethered away from the TV. So you have to figure out how you want to run the cables, long hdmis in wall, with the hub velcro'd to the back of the tv, or short HDMIs with the hub cable stretched out to the max. Your call.

Pros: Great Screen - This screen is ridiculously vibrant and detailed. The upscaler built into this thing is amazing. Everything looks great, even 720p broadcast TV channels look great! Customizable Controller - Hard to get used to at first, but you really customize this controller with on screen menus. Some will just use the power button, but for those who put in a few hours of customizing, it's pretty worth it. 4K Apps - Netflix in 4k Looks great, but honestly, everything looks great. Cons: Speaker - But this is to be expected in such a thin TV. You will need to buy a sound bar. Lack of 4k Content - Until 4k BluRay Players come out, you'll really be searching for something besides streaming Netflix to demo on this thing. Youtube has some cool 4K videos, but it's when 4k BluRays come out is really when you're going to get your moneys worth. $ - It is expensive.

After owning our 300lb 38" screen TV for 6 years, we were very excited about the prospect of upgrading to a larger screen, lighter weight, and feature enhanced TV. The reviews on BestBuy were important in helping us make the decision to choose this Samsung 65" SUHD TV (JS8500). We wanted the best TV available for our needs and we are pleased with this model so far with 2 months of use. We did learn that our Antenna channels are actually more clear than our satellite channels from Dish, which we learned does not have the higher technology or as many HD streaming channels as DirecTV, which was a surprise since we have used Dish for many years. This TV already has the components built in for DirecTV but we chose to keep Dish, and we were able to change our Source for which HDMI port to use with the Dish Receiver and that has made a drastic improvement! We would have returned the TV if this change were not made, but now we are very pleased and we are amazed with all the customizable features available, along with internet access, and wireless phone connectivity. I was surprised that we could not mirror our Windows 8.1 computers wirelessly like we could with the phone, although you can with a HDMI cable. Navigation on the remote is pretty easy, but I wish the remote size was larger and had more shortcut buttons like most other remotes. For someone that has waited many years to upgrade, this Samsung TV is a wonderful improvement for us!

I could not be more happy with the purchase of my new 65" Samsung 4K Ultra HD Television. The picture is crystal clear, with absolutely stunning colors (especially reds). Even my wife whose generally not that impressed with these types of things said she's never seen a better picture in her life. I don't think I'll ever have to go to another live sporting event as this television makes watching sports from home that much more fun. It's better than live!!! Had a few minor issues connecting to my Wifi, but once I got that resolved. Surfing the internet & watching Youtube videos has been great. I paired this television with a 700 watt Yamaha Receiver & Klipsch speakers...I never knew a television could add so much more enjoyment to my weekly entertainment just sitting in my living room. Exceptional Purchase, Outstanding Television...Great Job Samsung!

This TV is one of the finest TVs out there for this price range. I purchased this TV 3 months ago and love it as much today as the day I brought it home. I use this mostly for general Family TV shows and Movies. Positives that is see: Not as bad of sound as some of the reviews mentioned. Great picture Easy set up Negatives I see: Limited HDMI and other connections on the hub. No easy controls on the tv for sound/ input /power control

I read the reviews before I chose this model. I am generally pleased with it, the picture is great, but there is often a time lag before the sound bar syncs up with the TV. Sometimes I have to turn the TV off and on again to get the sound and picture to sync. I am using Time Warner Cable's adapter to change sound and channels and this may affect the communication of the TV with its peripherals.

I have had this TV for a month now, and am very impressed. Picture is sharp and clear right out of the box. Has all the bells and whistles! I would recommend getting a sound bar, as the TV sound is not the greatest. Other than that, TV is awesome!

So far I am impressed with everything about this tv. We have it in a temporary location right now but look forward to watching more when it's in it's permanent location. We purchased at a great price right before Thanksgiving - great tv for price.

I took my time exploring 4K and talking to friends who down stream movies. I am blown away by action movies and outdoor scenes. Highly recommend Samsung.

Love it. Sleek, slim & elegant television with a gorgeous picture. Sports viewing is amazing, no blur, truly feels like you're at the game. Only issue would be dark (movie) scenes can be very dark, but not certain it's the picture or the program.

We have really enjoyed the quality of our new Samsung 65 inch class 3D TV it's like having the actors in to same room.. I can't pry my husband away from the TV we absolutely love it. I would recommend this to anyone purchasing a new high quality TV

I reviewed all the TV's, present technologies and future technologies. The Samsung JS8500 was well recommended by several sources to be the best TV at the best price if you did not want to move up to the much more expensive emerging technologies.
