Crisp and clean images. Samsung has once again exceeded my expectations with their product. Setup was extremely easy and hookup of a/v equipment was simple to figure out. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

We bought this tv after several weeks of research. We love the size and clarity of the picture. Setup was a breeze. The tv was up and running in just about 1/2/ hour and most of that time was unpacking it from the box. Assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow. I know some have complained about the connection box being separate from the tv but I kinda like it. Adding additional devices to the tv (blu-ray, game, etc) is super easy and you don't have to move the tv around to find a vacant hdmi port. The sound from the tv was more than adequate. In fact, it sounded good but we connected it to our soundbar and it sounds even better.
Best Buy, of course, has a price match guarantee; however, we have not find this unit at a lower price than theirs.

This is an amazing tv. Is it worth the price? Yes. Everything has that super car feel to it. The remote is pointable like a wii mote. It senses when you want to point with a capacitive button. The picture quality is fantastic. I run 4K from my gaming rig to this tv via hdmi. It would he nice if it had DisplayPort, but that can always be added thanks to the port replicator system. Note, if you game on this and you experience tearing you need to turn on gaming mode. It buried in the settings, google it. The 3D up convert is a little gimmicky, but I like it. It adds depth to the games. Overall I'd give it 6 out of 5. The only downside is the stand, which is a bit small and flimsy for this size tv, but who keeps the stand on a 65" 4K tv??

Impressive picture, good sound when connected to stereo, remote is small and easy to use. It has fixed audio output plus Bluetooth output but no variable audio output. Variable audio output is very important to me since it allows us to use outboard amplifier and just the TV remote. The lack of variable audio out requires you to use the tiny TV speakers or buy a sound bar or receiver and speakers but that means another remote control and buying more gear. Using the fantastic TV with only the built in speakers would be a shame. You need a real amp and speakers to get quality full range sound. Even sound bars are not up to surround sound receiver capabilities but sound bars are quick and easy which is what makes them popular.

I got this bad boy when it was on sale. The people at bestbuy were greaattt but not to informative about the TV lol. They did a price match so I save more money that way.
Pros: Well I got the TV for 5 reasons 240hz, 4K, SUHD for more vibrant colors, Nano Crystal technology and the silver bezel.
Cons: really I think TVs need to stay away from being smart because they're not smart at all. OS software on the TV runs kind of slow and tends to act weird at some times like the SyncPlus will pop up for no reason thus had hard time figuring out how to turn it off from poping up. Have it really close near the Wi-Fi or have the ethernet connected for the connection to be solid. The upscaling when using digital movies doesnt come close to my old sony xbr65x900a which are dearly miss.
Other thoughs: well the only reason I got it because Sony was having the light bleeding problem on the newer 4K TVs models and even with the firm update it didn't really help with the problem. Thus I got the Samsung but still doesnt beat my old Sony xbr65x900a R.I.P. If you really want your TV to be smart invest in a HTPC or a Amazon Fire Pro but stay any from google tv:-(

I got this TV just before superbowl, Picture quality is awesome out of the box, didn't play much with the settings, still using with standard features it works very well. No issues with TV so far. Loved the 65'' TV being the actual minimum distance, sometimes i feel i should have got 75'' TV.
Audio processing is good, watching 3d is excellent. Kids enjoyed watching 3d content on Netflix, i enjoyed watching Everest 3d on 3DGO app.
I use HDMI ARC for audio to the receiver, works flawlessly and processing is excellent.
Watching sports with good refresh rate and everyone had fun on super bowl.
Pros: Best PQ,Audio is Great,Smart Remote,3d watching, sports
Con: Only one 3d glasses pair, limited apps in platform,

It took a little while to get this tv dialed in, however; it is now perfect! The problem I experienced was my previous receiver wasn't capable of sending audio both ways. So the tv was somewhat limited by the technology of the receiver. Once I upgraded the receiver, all my problems were solved. I was considering the 65 inch OLED and I ended up picking this instead for $2k on sale. Saved $1300, what a bargain... Great picture quality, easy to use, looks great. It was also fairly easy to wall mount. Not sure I'm a fan of having a seperate box for the input and out puts. They needed to do this as a space saver I assume. My current configuration includes an Oppo Blu Ray, Marantz SR6010, and Def Tech speakers.

I looked at the SONY and LG 65 inch tv's but decided to go with the Samsung, 65" Ultra 3D LED unit. It had the brightest and most vivid picture of all. Slim design, was great for my wall mounting configurations. I am not a TV expert, but I know a good picture and it is. The 240 refresh rate is something I also wanted. We have not used the 3D yet, but will soon. The TV only comes with one set of glasses though.

Samsung telephone helpline is absolutely terrible to the point I considered returning the product. In fact, a couple, not all, of the operators were downright rude once I could understand what they were saying. If you need no assistance, buy the product. The only reason this TV was given 4 stars out of 5 by me was b/c of the sound quality. The TV itself is awesome and it took my eyes some getting used to b/c the clarity of the images on the screen are like nothing I have seen before! I recommend using a Bose Bar or some kind of surround sound bar with this TV b/c the volume is in the back and is a bit muffled when using it even at the high setting. The speakers for this TV should have been better placed, like say somewhere in the front not in the back b/c when it is up against a wall it is blocked which causes poor sound quality. My TV is on a stand in a corner but the volume stays off and I just use my Bose bar. One tip, when you go into a store and look at a TV and see a sound bar being used for the sound, just know that without it you will have poor quality sound.

GREAT TV - POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

I hate to leave negative feedback for a customer service experience, which includes such positive feedback for the product I am reviewing. That said, I really think it is fair to say that if I could return my purchase based on that experience (and buy it somewhere else (even at greater cost)), I would.
Customer Service Review
The actual purchase experience was OK. I had a hard time figuring out if I would be able to fit the TV in my car (after driving about 3 hours out of my way once I located it two days before Christmas). The customer associate in the store was very polite and was able to offer basic information, but was unable to answer more advanced questions. I would otherwise be OK with that, however, he did not even try to find the answers, nor did he ask anyone else. He did retrieve the TV from the storeroom for me so that I could see the box. When I asked for a tape measure, I was told, on the spot, that there was not one available. I used a makeshift tape measure, and when another associate saw me struggling, one magically materialized. I then asked to be able to take the tape measure out to my car to verify the dimensions; I was not allowed to, even though my car was right outside the door. Needless to say, it fit, and the two people (one of whom was the second sales associate who was able to get me a tape measure in the first place (but not the one who actually sold me the TV)) who helped me get it into my car were phenomenal. The original sales associate could not be bothered after the sale.
The other problem I had was the price match guarantee, which, for me, as an elite member, should have been extended through January 30, 2016. The TV is currently being offered at a SIGNIFICANTLY lower price than what I paid. Now, I understand that prices change all the time, and I understand that sometimes that works out in my favor, but I was denied a price adjustment within the time frame allowed given my status. That's a huge error in customer service that I cannot tolerate.
Product Review - The Television
That said, the TV is gorgeous. It was a gift, and all in all, I am very happy that I had it in time to give for Christmas. It set up very easily on the included stand (with two people - I can't emphasize that enough - it really does take at least two people to set up). Straight from the box, the settings were quite good. I was concerned about the screen issues that several people have described with their new sets. Ours, fortunately, did not have that problem. After some adjustments with a Blu-ray disc designed to optimize the viewing experience, the picture is nearly flawless, and 3-D is spectacular (and that is an understatement). I'm not usually impressed with the definition of televisions. In fact, I find it difficult to tell the difference among various resolutions, even when on display side by side. I truly can say that this TV offers the best display I have experienced, and that is, again, straight from the box with high definition media, not even 4K, which, honestly, I have yet to see on the TV (it's not mine - although I really wish it were). Additionally, the clarity of high speed action (including real-time game broadcasting through a big name cable company) is unmatched. I've never before seen a game without, at least, moderate pix-elation.
So, there you have it...If asked if I would recommend this item to a friend, I would say, "Absolutely, yes"! I would not (and will not (EVER AGAIN)), however, recommend purchasing anything from Best Buy.

I was torn between this model and the curved model. I spent a couple days in the magnolia section looking at both models. Although the curved model claims to have no loss of picture at an angle, there was a decent amount of picture lost. This model had a fantastic picture, no matter what the angle was. I haven't tried out the 3d on the television yet, but if it's anything like the rest of the 4k images I've seen I suspect it will be spectacular.

I researched more tvs than I can remember with all differ met manufacturers. In the end I purchased the Samsung 8500. After Best Buy delivered and set it up I was blown away by the picture quality. Normally tvs look better at the store, but this one has gone beyond expectations. The HD clarity is unreal and the only downfall is that if you are on a non-HD channel it stands out like a sore thumb because of how good HD looks. And I am talking about HD on Direct TV, not 4K. I got on Netflix and looked at some of the 4K shows they have and that picture was out of this world. I would definitely recommend this tv without any doubt. Remote is great also.

I replaced a really nice 55" Samsung LED that was not 4K let alone Ultra HD. The difference in picture is phenomenal. The black colors are much darker, and the picture is overall much richer. I have a Sony 70" also, 4K but not Samsung Ultra HD, and honestly I much prefer this display over the somewhat larger Sony, which just does not have the same rich colors and beautiful picture. I got this on sale for $1999, and honestly wish I had gotten 2. The Samsung 4k Ultra HD picture is just that good, in my opinion.

Having owned the 2014 curved model at 65 inches, I was very impressed. I moved overseas and had to get rid of it but meant I could then purchase the 2015 model.
I went with the flat model, and to be honest, its made no difference (if not better)
The picture is awesome, I CAN notice the difference in moving to SUHD, and the remote is an improvement over the oval shaped 2014 model.
I would however suggest that the mini connect box is a DOWNGRADE over the full box.
The whole idea is to have ONE cable into the TV, but now with the mini it multiplys (ETHERNET etc) unless its one cable why bother with this premise.
Otherwise a great TV

I did a lot of research comparing various 4K and 1080 TVs, and decided that this one would be the best value based on the upscaling reports I read.
First Impressions: This TV does not disappoint. Set up was very simple. The picture is amazing. BluRays and HD Dish channels look fantastic. To get the best picture you will need to have a 4k signal. Not a lot of 4k stuff out yet but it is coming. It streams 4K content from Netflix and YouTube flawlessly. It's a beauty The built in audio is not bad but we don’t use it. Rather we have a Sonos sound bar system which sounds excellent
So far we have not been disappointed.

I have had my eye on this TV for a while and when price got low enough to under $2000 I couldn't resist. So far this TV is everything I had hoped, with a fantastic picture quality and features, I am very satisfied. Easy to operate and simple remote. From right out of the box to making my connections and going through the start up procedure it only took about 25 minutes. Now I just hope it will last as long as my old Sony Bravia XBR that I replaced, (8 years and still going). We shall see.

I purchased this TV to replace my Panasonic 65VT60 plasma. I have to say that was the best TV I have ever owned, unfortunately the panel went bad on me. With that said I was now faced with finding a replacement that would give me as close a picture to the plasma as possible. I did a ton of research on the Internet and at my local Best Buy. I first picked up a Sony 65X850C and though it had a very good picture there was some anomalies I couldn't get past, blooming and extremely poor picture off center. It was very distracting.. After two weeks I returned the Sony and purchased the Samsung JS8500. The picture once dialed in is extremely good and at this point the only issue is that the off center picture is a bit washed out, but it is no where as extrem as the Sony and is acceptable..
I have had the Samsung for two weeks and it looks like a keeper! For the TV settings I used the calibration found in the review from Rtings.com and really like the results.. Next to the very expensive LG OLED, you can't go wrong with this TV..

I researched several TVs before deciding on this one. I originally was going to buy a curved, but I noticed in the store displays that the glare seemed to spread across the screen. There is very little glare on this Samsung, but the silver frame does reflect light more than I would like. That is probably the only thing I would change about this TV. A black frame would probably not reflect so badly. It does look nice in silver and when the overhead light is not on, it's not a problem. The sound is pretty good for such a small speaker, but I decided on a small soundbar in order to preserve the speakers. Great TV!

The Samsung JS8500 Series UN65JS8500FXZA LED Smart 4K Ultra HDTV has one of the best pictures I've seen; better even than my Sony and that's saying something. Delivery was on time, as scheduled and the techs were very courteous and helpful. Yes it is priced a bit more than others, but you get a lot more. Aside from the picture quality, I think the best features are: (1) the world's easiest to use remote (simple and includes an integrated mouse) and (2) the external USB/HDMI connector pack - you simply plug that into the unit, mount it, and then plug in all of your external sources into the multi-connector.
