Customers find value in the 65" Class TV's picture quality, with many describing it as "unbelievably crisp" with popping colors. The curved screen is also well-received for improving the viewing experience from any angle. While some customers complain about the remote control and reflections from windows, the overall sentiment is positive, with many praising the TV's picture quality and curved screen.

The Samsung JS9000 SUHD 4k TV has excellent picture quality both in a dark and a bright room. If you don't mind the loss of color at an angle and it is within your budget, get this TV. I loved the tv, but it wasn't until i got the oneconnect which required a warranty claim to get. Had they included that i'd have given it 5 stars. the picture is amazing, and the curve of the screen is very aesthetically pleasing. This tv is a functional work of art. This is a pretty good TV for watching Movies and regular shows. The blacks aren't the darkest, but they're dark enough to get the job done. The uniformity is really good, though. We hardly had any cloudiness when watching dark scenes, which is great.
The HDR, 3D, and motion smoothing features are nice extras, too, for those who are looking for them. It has a few clouding spots, but nothing major. If you get one with major black uniformity issues, don't forget to apply slight pressure and massage the area with a dry cloth, and then let the TV sit for a few days. This often solves uniformity issues.

This is my first smart TV...setup was supper easy and connecting to the internet a breeze. The color is truly amazing and the curve well worth it for the large room it is in, everyone get a great picture! The pointer remote is the best yet! All remotes should be so easy! Software downloads and installs when needed with no work from me. Don't settle for less this TV is worth it!

Takes a little bit of time to get setup and adjust the picture but looks great! Picture quality is amazing, smart apps load instantly with the octa core processor. Definitely worth the $500 to upgrade to this from the 8500. Having not only the bigger processor but also having it external to the one connect box allowing for future upgrades.

I bought the 55js8500 first then it went on sale got price matched then it went on sale again and they could only price match once. It hadn't been 15 days since I purchased so I could still return it and get for the cheaper price. I think the guy at magnolia thought I wouldn't. Returned the tv and went to a different Best Buy which had this open box for a couple hundred more than I originally paid for the 55" 8500 model. After all that bs. I am so happy with this tv. Took a little adjusting to get the picture right but know its amazing. 3D is great lots of depth. Purchased the ubd-k8500 4K & HDR is awesome. Added a usb bias light for the back. I would definitely recommend this tv. 65" is a good size and the picture quality is terrific. I think the newer models are coming soon so depending on prices so you may want to wait and see.

This television is amazing!! For such a large screen, it doesn't overpower a smaller living room. The One Connect is great for handling all the connections, instead of having numerous HDMI cables running up to the backside of the television. I have not tried the 3D aspect of the unit yet, but anticipate it to be fantastic as well.

We read a lot of reviews and researched many product descriptions. We ultimately selected the Samsung 65 in SHDTV curved. It was a bit more money, but so worth it. If I knew then, what I know now, I wouldn't have wasted my time researching for a month. I would have just dove in head first.

Initially got the JU6700 model and I wasn't pleased with its picture quality and black level. The sales person recommended me this newer model which just came out after getting the latter. Very impressed with it and by just watching 4k content on youtube is already amazing! One of the best picture quality 4kTV I've ever own...The only thing that I notice is when the scenes are dark and you are watching it in a dark room, you can obviously see the edge lighting on it. Had to turn down the backlight to zero to compensate. I really love the black levels and details when I play Call of Duty. Watching 3D is awesome. I think I like it better compared on the movie screen. I just dont like the glasses that comes with it because it eats a lot of battery. I bought the rechargeable one to save money. The Remote control is like love and hate relationship. I like it because it reminds me of having my Wii controller, I hate it because it can be finicky sometimes. Viewing pictures taken from my 5D mark III is just amazing as it feels like viewing it on a big imac screen. I also like how my iphone 6 connects through smart view 2 apps to view some pictures and video clips on it. It's not flawless but can't complain much about it as it can be fix through an update on the apps I hope! One connect box comes really handy as you can fix your wirings easily. OLED 4k (LG EG9600) is the one that Im dreaming of having but I just can't justify owning it right now as it is expensive.

This is not a professional or troll review. I actually bought this TV from Best Buy and did return two other TVs so I did choose this TV based on comparisons. I want to extend my appreciation to Best Buy for their desire to make sure that I was a satisfied customer. The displays of TVs at the store are in no way related to what we will see in actual use and after many hours of reading reviews to decide, and now that I did decide, I just want to extend my experience so it can possibly help others decide.
I will start with the Pros. Although it is an edge lit screen it is the best edge lit back light LED TV I tested. Granted there is a slight bleed along the left and right side where the back lights are, but it not obtrusive and is restricted to the very edge and the rest of the screen is black with no patterns of light bleed anywhere. There are some situations such as with very light areas that are moving on a dark shadowy background that the local diming feature will produce some errant increase in lighting, but it is not severe enough or frequent enough to be considered a detriment. The top and bottom borders when viewing 21:9 content and the side borders when viewing 4:3 content will be black. As I said, it is the best that I tried and I took back 1 other LED TV and one OLED TV of a brand that I have two of in my house and I was partial to that brand, so I have a good basis for comparison. The blacks and transition of the darkness of the shadows are really very good. This TV can go from brilliant white to black on the same scene really well. I would doubt that it can be outdone in this category by anything but an OLED, which I also tried for two weeks, and you are talking another 2 grand and OLEDs at this stage are not good with smooth transition of blacks. There will be a point where they just cut off and go to pure black
The contrast and colors are exceptional. The only color that I sometimes question are pure reds that I know are pure dark reds and they will tend to come across as overly luminous or just not what I expect. Please note that I have not done a color calibration with a calibration disk so this may be correctable. I also had more difficulty adjusting the picture to eliminate the toxic greens that can happen with foliage, than I have had with my other TVs although I did get them quite close to natural. I found skin tones to be very good. The quality of the picture when viewing UHD programming from Netflix and Amazon Prime is exceptionally good. When fed a high quality HD feed it is hard to tell the difference between it and the UHD programming, so it is doing an exceptional job of up converting the HD feeds. Please note that you will never see in real life the ridiculously sharp picture that you see on the displays at the store as they use canned feeds that are chosen to show off the TVs strong points. It actually does a real good job with lower quality feeds such as Series on Netflix and Hulu that were shot in 2009 that were recorded in 480P and with cameras that are not as good as today's cameras. I think that the picture quality from these feeds are somewhat better than the really good 2014 1080P TV that I replaced with the JS9000. The only comment I can make on its HDR capabilities is that I am not sure if it is enabled yet as the UHD-HDR programming on Amazon Prime came up as HDR on the other HDR enabled TV that I tested and when watching UHD on Amazon Prime, on that TV the menu showed that it was HDR content and that TV would default to a specific HDR mode but while in the HDR mode you had no ability within that mode to make any adjustments to the picture and some of the programming was overdone with the darkening of the highlights and lightening of the shadows, which made the picture really washed out and not enjoyable to watch. Watching the same Amazon Prime UHD-HDR content with the JS9000 does not show as HDR content, so although the quality is exceptional I really don't know if it is receiving HDR. That said, I would not worry at this point as HDR is in its infant stage and has a long way to go and this TV does really great with non HDR UHD programming. The TV is HDR capable so I am sure that feature will be upgraded as we go along anyway. I have watched DVDs and Blu-Ray and they are both great. My HD cable service is just perfect on this TV.
The so-so on this TV is viewing angles. The vertical alignment panel is really great for exceptional contrast but colors start to wash out at about 25 degrees off center. (No, the picture will not wash out completely, but the colors will start to degrade and lose contrast). You may not be happy with this TV if you have people that have to watch from greater angles and you better have a tilting mount if you are going to mount it above eye level as it will wash out vertically also and If you watch 3D programming you need to be looking into the center of the screen perpendicularly. Not a fault of this TV. All TVs with VA (Vertical Alignment) panels will have this problem. No such thing as a perfect TV. Not even OLEDs. Although they have exceptional viewing angle attributes they have other issues. As I said, no perfect TVs yet. Sports are alright on this TV. Although it may be better than the IPS panels (In Plane Switching) that LG uses, for controlling smearing of the playing surfaces as the camera pans, it is still not perfect. This TV has pretty decent speakers. Not great, but decent. It has four picture modes which can all be customized to your taste. The standard mode may be usable for the people who are to timid to tackle adjusting the various adjustments, but I can't imagine anyone understanding Samsungs reason for the factory settings of the other modes. None of them are watchable in my opinion.
The not so great. The remote and the ease of navigating the settings operating menu. I am not going to elaborate on this issue. Samsung needs to improve on this. I expect better from a $3000.00 TV. Sorry all you people who think active 3D is great. Having to mess with batteries or expensive rechargeable glasses is probably what is killing the interest in 3D. All my other TVs are passive 3D and they are just great. I feel that my eyes get fatigued with Active 3D much quicker than with passive 3D. The glasses for passive are so cheap and more comfortable to wear. I have never had any problem with crosstalk with my Passive 3D and I am still trying to adjust the crosstalk out of this TV. I know, with passive you only get one half of the vertical resolution, well I have yet to see any appreciable difference in resolution of 3D feeds of this Active system versus my passive systems.
The JS9000 is very responsive. It starts very quickly. I have it connected by Ethernet to a 100MB/s service and it streams just great. As a note: You will need at least 20 MB/s down to stream UHD TV and you will have to connect with Ethernet at that speed. If you are connecting with wireless you better have at least 35 MB/s down and not be to far from your router. Switching between apps is fast and smooth. Surfing the internet was pretty decent. I think if you connected a keyboard to it you would be quite happy.
In summary I settled on the UN65JS9000 because it's picture quality was the best for the price I could afford and for the content that I watch the most. It's black level capabilities and good control of backlight bleeding was the reason that I choose it. It's excellent ability to display a great picture with UHD content and do such a good job of up converting HD content is a real plus. It also produces very smooth out of focus backgrounds that are so prevalent in the way programming is shot now, and the digital noise in the shadow areas of dark scenes is also rendered quite smooth, this was my other reason for not choosing the OLED as the OLED is so sharp that it also renders the out of focus areas and digital noise sharply and that was really disconcerting to me. Having four HDMI inputs is also a plus. The external control module may be a disadvantage to wall mount installations, but at the same time may be a plus if it allows you to upgrade to a new module to be able to adapt to future protocols. One thing I didn't comment on is the curved screen. It mounts fine on a standard mount. They provide adapters to adjust the curve to a straight line. I really don't think the curve adds a great deal to the viewing experience and it does have a problem with reflections being spread laterally across the screen, although they will not be as obtrusive as it was on the OLED as it had the tendency to turn the reflections purple. I can't speak on the stand as I mounted it to a bracket on a pedestal. The bezel is not pure black, but is not shiny so I don't find it obtrusive.
If you can live with its limited viewing angle ( no, the picture is not going to completely wash out, but the colors will start to lose their contrast) and If 3D is going to be a family event and you are willing to pay 50 bucks for each set of rechargeable glasses or 20 bucks for battery glasses which have a short battery life, this is a TV that you should love. Bravo to Samsung for their control of backlight bleed and the ability to produce nearly perfect blacks on this UN65JS9000.

I have last years Samsung hu8550 and I needed another new tv so I bought the 65 inch Ju7100 but after getting it home it was just not as clear as my 8550 it had better color but I prefer the super clear sharp image so I took it back and got this js9000 and I got home and set it up on the stand and plugged it in and nothing would happen the screen just remained blank so I called Samsung they said they would send a technician out to look at it so I took it back to Best Buy and it turned out to be the one connect box they gave me a new one connect box so I came back home and plugged it in and everything worked perfectly. This TV is awesome it has super clear picture and wonderful colors I even like to watch commercials now without skipping over them because everything is so clear and awesome looking wasn't sure if I would like the curve or not but It is pretty awesome also especially when you're sitting to the side only problem is I have some glare from some windows but it's not enough to worry about . My wife gave me a hard time for spending this much money on the TV but after a bout a week She can't stop watching it she loves it and so do I If you want to be blown away by TV awesomeness in your own home then you definitely need to buy one of these TVs

Really impressive brightness, saturation, and depth of color! 4K programming on this TV (best stuff is on YouTube) is "mind-blowing"!
Sound from built-in speakers is so-so, really needs a home theater-like speaker setup to thoroughly enjoy.
The menu system is designed around the wand-style remote, which is pretty neat when you get used to it. But since the wand isn't really usable as a universal remote, you still have to have other remotes lying around, or a universal remote such as the Logitech Harmony. Unfortunately, these universals (including the Harmony) do not have the same type of gyro cursor control as the wand, so you really have to have BOTH the universal AND the wand close at hand to efficiently navigate the menus on the Samsung TV. On a TV this expensive, Samsung should provide a universal remote that has the wand functions in it.
Another glitch: I use a bluetooth headset sometimes (when my wife doesn't really want to hear the football game). The Samsung pairs with the headset OK, but whenever I go to the kitchen for a snack, it breaks pairing and I must re-pair when I get back to the TV room. The re-pairing requires a couple of clicks with the wand, because the bluetooth menu cannot be navigated by the universal remote. Not a huge pain, but annoying. Perhaps a software update will enable auto-re-pairing (Samsung - are you listening?)
Overall, still, it is a GREAT TV, and everyone loves it.
By the way, the curved screen is really sexy when you first look at it, but as far as viewing images onscreen goes, the curve makes no difference, whatsoever. After the novelty wears off, it is just an extra thousand-dollar-bill lying unused on the TV stand. So if you are on a limited budget, don't bother "breaking the bank" just to get the curve. If you do have the bux, though, the curve is an extra-thick layer of "Cool".

I read reviews before I make big buys like this one. This is an excellent buy. Very happy with it! Crisp, clear image. The curve actually makes what you are watching, specially movies look amazing. I always say: You get what you pay for. And this was worth every penny! Also, very easy to install. I'm not tech savvy. Just fallow directions, get your drill and done. Didn't take me more the 20 minutes. Did it all by my self and not that heavy and I'm a girl ;) you will need help to take it out of box that's it.

I would recommend purchasing this television. It has an awesome picture and can be viewed, comfortably, from most any angle We have noticed in our space (with lots of windows) there is considerable glare from the windows, and can be distracting.
I would also recommend having Best Buy do the installation. We had numerous items to hook to the television and it went so much easier with expert technicians doing the work.
This is an awesome TV!
