But the optical cable running it through the wall can cause issues. If the installers pull on it or have kinks in line then the bit rate received is too low and the Tv thinks your bandwidth is too low causing the One Connect to not recognize ANY HDMI ports. Secondly in MA, you aren’t allowed to run the optical from TV to One Connect through the wall as it is the power source defeating the benefit of hiding cables! Thirdly, Samsung and Directv NOW app is incompatible. Some shows no sound plays, other channels won’t stream at all, including DVRed shows! So I had to purchase an AppleTV to circumnavigate this issue so I can watch TV. Kind of ridiculous to have all these issues with a $3000 TV.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung 65” QLED Q9F Smart 4K TV.
I am very sorry to see that you have encountered issues with the TV not recognizing the HDMI ports. For best performance, we do recommend that the cable not be twisted, kinked, or pulled taught, but rather lies flat without tension.
We do apologize that your local codes do not permit in-wall installation of the cable that comes boxed with the TV. However, Samsung does offer a specialized cable that is rated for in-wall installation. You can check with your local Best Buy to purchase this cable and for installation service.
In addition, please know that Samsung and DirecTV are aware of the app issue and are currently working towards a solution. Once we have more information, we will update this post.

Good TV, but bad value

The backlight has a weird bug where it doesn't come on until you change it's level, even though it saves where it was when you turned off the TV. Shouldn't have any bugs like that at this price point... Good picture, bad value.
