I love the natural sound stage and its room filling sound. We have been doing in home trials of dozens of sound bars and this one is by far the best for discerning listener that prefers a natural sound stage.

Really wanted to like the soundbar but constant static, choppy signals in the surrounds while playing movies. Have an Orbi mesh wifi system, played with router settings but couldn't get it to work. The soundbar itself was great but if the supporting surrounds not working as well as I expected then not worth the cost. Samsung customer support was useless. Returned and waiting for the new SONOS ARC.

We have been searching for a wireless sound system for quite some time. So happy we found this amazing system. The atmosphere sound effects are like nothing you have ever heard! I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to go wireless.

Soundbar really fills the room and has a good sub. Satellite speakers are a good addition and adds to that whole room sound.

Great performance and easy to setup. Full retail is a bit pricey but I was able to snag this item for $999, which made it much more of a value. I finally got rid of my 5.1 floorstanding speaker setup, which I swore I would never do.

Great alternative to full on multi speaker home theater audio system. Works well in a smaller space, and is one of the better quality flagship soundbars on the market. One drawback however, this soundbar lacks EARC functionality.

I bought this open box, I set it up and after a few mins I noticed this soundbar disconnects from the sub like crazy and it's right next to the soundbar. It crackles and sounds terrible. The back speakers kept disconnecting as well. Clearly best buy doesn't test products before reselling it. I was upset since we drove 80 miles round trip to find this soundbar in stock locally. I took it back and went with the Sony htst5000. It cost more but sounds great. It sucks because this sound bar q90r looks great. But it has way to many issues and it was updated with the latest software. Unacceptable for the cost of this soundbar.

Unfortunately my online research (somehow) did not notice the litany of negative reviews around the connectivity challenges of this product. In short, it sounds great at times. However within a week I’ve noticed issues with both the sub woofer and the rear surround sound speakers. The subwoofer makes a ‘popping’ like noise intermittently, while the rear speakers cut in and out as if there’s a signal issue. I’ve spoken with Samsung support a few times and it seems these are both known issues...and no, the new firmware does not solve this problem. Currently evaluating options for replacement...which is unfortunate as I really wanted this to work. I’ve got a Samsung QLED TV and bought the custom speaker stands specifically built for this set. Very disappointing for such a high cost item...

This sound bar is excellent for TV music videos, mobile devices blue tooth and movies. The mounting is easy. We mounted above our tv and the hardware for mounting is well designed. Took about 15 minutes to mount.

The hw-q90r is amazing. Its performance is one the most satisfying things I heard in years. You don't need lots of equipment and configurations to enjoy the closest experience of being seated at the Movie theater.

This is THE BEST system that I have ever purchased. It is a bit on the large side but when you watch movies matched with a Qled display, it is of movie theater quality! All Qled remotes work with this unit.

Love this Soundbar setup. Only problem is the sub and rear speakers sometimes disconnect. Other than that sound is great. Gets really loud. Bass is pretty good, or good enough. Nothing extraordinary.

Sound bar sounds killer with front and rear Atmos. Really is comparable to a component system. I have it in a smaller room so I'm sure I'm not even hearing to it's full potential. I would def recommend to a friend.

I have to say this is by far, a very good sound bar.....with 1 major hiccup, IT WONT STAY CONNECTED. First off, the build, look, and quality of this sound bar is great! The look alone commands respect. And with the sleek look comes strong, powerful sound. Being a 7.1 channel bar, I was initially hesitant on performance expectations. But, I was honestly blown away by the sheer sound quality. I love having the ability to control the output levels for each channel, which makes set-up in anyone’s space easy. The subwoofer definitely delivers theater-style bass, but, if the tone is too low and lasts too long, the woofer tends to bottom out a bit. I noticed this is the case when playing music, but it was perfectly fine during movies. The wireless rear speakers fill the rear of the room with ambient sound to completely draw you into anything you’re watching. Here’s where my problem comes in. Every time I turned on the sound bar, the rear speakers and subwoofer were not linked to the bar. Initially, I thought it was a simple glitch and linked all the speakers again. But, I ran into this same issue more than 5 times. As of the date of this review, it continues. I think that any product, especially at this level of quality, should have no issues with a key function such as connectivity between speakers.....especially when the speakers are a part of the total package. I wanted to give it 3 stars because of that issue which to me is major, but if you just take in the sound quality it’s worth 4. Note if we didn’t have that connectivity issue than it would deserve a 5 rating.

Purchased this soundbar as reviews I've read gave it high marks for its Atmos performance. The reviews were correct, when Atmos kicked in the sound was fantastic from the soundbar and sub, but the rears are lacking a little . Dialogue is crisp and clear, bass is thunderous and clean, but the rears do not provide sufficient volume (even when turned up) for my taste. Secondly I'm continually losing connection between the soundbar and both sub and rears. I've tried updating the firmwrare as suggested as well as tried to visit the firmware version for the sub and rears, but that has not help. This will be going back to Best Buy as I do not want to continually unplug and plug in my system.
