Easy to use. Clothes come out great! Quiet operation and solid construction

I am absolutely thrilled with this purchase. This machine works like a charm. The multitude of settings gives you the exact options you most frequently desire plus the option to customize and save your own settings. You get so much bang and more for your buck. Samsung is definitely out to take over all electronics and appliances and be the leading innovator in technology.

This is the 4th dryer I had delivered, but its only because the first 3 had mainly cosmetic defects with them. Not sure who's managing the individuals who's job it is to put them together and pack them, but it was crazy. First one had a dent in it and we believe the heating element had issues. Second one we noticed after it was installed that the top area where the dial top meets the top of the dryer seemed to be pulled up which had to have taken some force to do that. Also the dial knob didn't rotate easily like the other, it was more stiff and made a clicking noise. Third replacement was taken off the truck, noticed two big deep scratches on it so it was loaded back up. For the record I can say all of these scratches or dents were not made by the Best Buy delivery guys because I watched them bring them off the truck in their full thick packaging so there was no way those guys did the damage. I now have the 4th and I'm hoping final replacement dryer. They are really cool, but honestly I don't think the Eco setting for the dryer is even worth having on it. If you use it it says it uses less electricity I guess, but the problem is...it doesn't dry your clothes on that setting so you'd have to dry them about 4 times (on that setting) to get them dried. I do still love my washer and dryer set, but I think better care needs to be taken back at the factory for sure.

We bought this and the matching washer as a complete set to replace a 27 year old Maytag set (that still works). We are now running a fraction of the number of loads that we used to since the washer and dryer can handle at least three times as much as the set they replaced. There is no question that we'll realize a significant savings in our energy usage.

Holds lots of clothes, dries effectively. Steam feature is useful, too.

Customized drying at its best. Experience with permanent press setting is that is often leaves knit shirt collars slightly damp. I'd rather it under-dry rather than over-dry. I'll have to increase the drying time slightly for this setting and save under the My Cycle setting. Brilliant!

I bought this dryer as a replacement for an LG front loader set. The LG had broken twice and was simply becoming a PIA to fix. Although I could fix it, it just took time to fix. LG does have great tutorials on fixing their machines, however, a nickle dime heating element just wasn't worth it. I bought this dryer as a set with the matching washer (reviewed as well). This dryer has as much capacity as the LG if not more. It is very intelligent and "knows" the clothes and when they are completely dry. The steam function is great. If you don't get the clothes out immediately, you can refresh them with the steam cycle and the wrinkles are magically gone. I bought this as a set and paid $799 for both washer and dryer from Best Buy. I would recommend this to everyone.

Bought this dryer based on the matching washer. It has worked well so far. The sensor dry works, but I have to set it to "more dry" or "very dry" to get larger loads to dry completely. We have 2 white long haired fluffy cats and 2 golden retrievers...very hairy pets. This dryer seems to do well at removing pet hair from our clothes much better than our last dryer did! I also love the steam feature for fluffing and refreshing clothes before wearing, but the steam function does leave the clothes a little damp. As a side note, no issues with a thumping sound from the drum as a couple other reviews have mentioned...I was worried about this before buying but took a chance anyways. All in all, a good dryer and would recommend.

We have had our Samsung "8700" Platinum electric dryer for about 6 weeks. We have 5 people in the household and dry about 5 loads of laundry a week. This dryer replaced one that was 11 years old. It was still running, but we wanted a matching set. The matching set works well together. The amount of water remaining in the clothing is pretty minimal so the drying time is fast. The chime sounds at the end of the cycle is not obnoxious in the least, but there is only an on and off as far as I can tell ...no volume control. The steam option is nice as it helps with clothing that tends to be wrinkly.

Love our new Samsung dryer, but vent pipe poorly installed - came loose when 1st tried to use - NO demo! didn't remove tape off dryer, and very small scratch of paint on top, right. I would recommend Best Buy staff at store, but unhappy with deliverymen.

This dryer holds large loads, and the drying time is excellent. Clothes come out ready to wear. I paired this with the Samsung washer, and I highly recommend the pair. While they are a little pricey, I feel I have made a good purchase.

This dryer has many settings, runs quiet and quick. I love the refresh option(which utilizes the steamer). Also love the light the comes on inside the dryer for when im looking for things in the morning.

Have not had a single issue with this dryer. I like that you are able to lengthen or shorten a cycle. Plus the steam feature is a bonus for sure.

This dryer is so quiet! I love it! Has so many functions the only thing I see that is missing is it won't fold the clothes clothes for me.

Very nice looking and quiet. Wife being a Nurse makes the steam sanitizing very appealing. Large capacity fits our space constraints. Matches the washer. We just don't like the new matching washer which we bought because of the recall. If the quality of the dryer holds up we may consider more Samsung but because of our experience with the new washer we likely will not buy Samsung again. Nice dryer, hope it holds up!

This Samsung 7.4 bu ft dryer has all the latest features, but still fits in a standard space, unlike many of the new ones which have outgrown standard dimensions for dryers.

We have 4 kids and this dryer cut the time in half!! Sleek looks and the color is great!

Great color if you can keep uptight that way. I put a plastic basket with clothes on it. The next day there was scratches on it. Cheap paint. Hopefully I can buff it out.

This is my second dryer from Samsung and have never had a problem from either. The steam function helps out alot.
