I've had the pair for about 8 months now. It's user friendly and has many options. I know it cleans and dries well. The large capacity is nice for big loads and duvets and comforters. A couple things to note about the washer. The wash has a self clean cycle which is nice, but the indicator light comes on about once a month and the process is about 4 hours long. When it spins dry, I do occasionally hear some noise and vibration, even shrieking at times. I'm not sure why since it's balanced. The other thing is the liquid detergent dispenser, 9 out of 10 times, is full of water after the cycle is done. It's somewhat of an annoyance. A couple things to note about the dryer, is is that the light inside is nice. I do have problems with the duvet covers or sheets getting very twisted up into a ball and don't dry properly. So it's a pain to constantly check the load to see if I need to fix it or if I don't, not having everything dry when it's done. And if I would have realized it in the store, I probably would have splurged to buy the pedestals. I usually think they're a waste of money but they sit very low to the ground. So I have to kneel to get in there when I move the load from the wash to the dryer and or out of the dryer.

This is an amazing dryer. The steam function is just incredible.

After a couple of years, our Samsung washer is so noisy it sounds like an airplane is landing on our roof. The repair tech said they get calls like this all the time for Samsung products. Do yourself a favor, stick to Maytag or Whirlpool. Samsung is best with cell phones only. Even our Samsung tv broke after 1 month. Safe yourself some time and money. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG WASHER

Bad installation. They had to come back twice then I had to pay another company to install it.

I miss the days of reliable appliances. Those days are over and have been replaced by vibrant colors, lots of buttons and singsong noises. The washer and dryer we had before we splurged on our fancy Samsung washer/dryer were not as attractive, but they never broke. In 12-15 years, we rarely had ANY problems with our old-school appliances. I love the LOOK of my new, digital front load Merlot washer & dryer and I love the options provided and I still enjoy pushing all the fancy buttons. I, unlike other reviewers, even enjoy the music played when a load is completed; I have a large house and it helps to be reminded, no matter where I am in the house, that I put a load in, and it's ready. What I definitely don't like is that I've had these for under 4 years and just paid my SECOND repairman another $350 to replace another broken part. This time, a broken safety device. The repairman said that, while Samsung is one of the best appliances made today, it is not uncommon to have a safety device break. However, he did say it should not have broken so soon. And, before you go thinking you can replace a safety device, trust me, you cannot. So, I leave you with that.

The first new dryer perform well. But on the 14th days the motor frozed and stop turning! Best buy replaced the machine with a new one. Unfortunately the second machine vibrate and makes lots of metallic noises coming from the side panels! It is going back! I am a Samsung fan and a hope this just bad luck.
