Samsung is outperformed by other brands again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was a great value 70 inch for the price at 529.99 but there are several drawbacks that make it unwatchable. The TV is advertised as “direct lit”. This is just a fancy word for edge lit and you can see the flash lighting and clouding in this TV from a mile away. It is extremely distracting when watching dark and letter box content. This was the reason I returned the TV. The judder and lack of settings are another draw back of this TV. No local dimming, blacklight settings to fix the atrocious flashlighting, and judder fix. The tizen platform is pretty impressive and it pairs well with most cable providers. This TV does do eArc even thought it isn’t widely advertised. It’s sad to see that lesser known companies are truly outperforming Samsung nowadays for a fraction of the cost. You can downscale 5 inches and pay for a QLED Full array TV for this price. I would recommend looking elsewhere even though I consider this a pretty fair value.

Solid 4K tv

Works well with the Xbox X. Love the built in smart apps. There is one aspect I do not like, some of the embedded apps you can not delete. Very frustrating that you can't control which apps are installed. Other than that, this is a solid TV.

The remote or softwrae is also super sensitive if you push channel up it flys thru channels. I have a feeling I will be calling Samsung at some point for repairs.

I got it during Black Friday sale, and it lived up to my expectations. One thing I really love about this tv is airplay. So if you have any apple product, you can mirror it onto the tv. The only con is the smart things app that can be used as a remote supplement. But the tv is great!!
