Only thing I don't like is the sound, it is not as loud as the old one, (T.V.) , just seems they want to sell a sound bar, more than I want one .

A few weeks after getting it set up, it started glitching and was sometimes yellow when I turned it on. It would clear up when I turned it off and back on, but is definitely annoying.

I can't use the TV anymore. Now it turns on and off in a loop forever. It turns on, flashes red power light, screen flashes and TV turns off and so on. Cons : 1. TV freezes while I'm watching something. Had to keep power button pressed for 5 seconds to restart it. 2. Sometimes the picture freezes, but the sound continues and picture catches up after many seconds in fast-forward mode. 3. TV turns off and on its own. It happens at least twice a day. 4. Sometimes apps doesn't open. Had to restart it for the apps to work. 5. Remote input lags. Sometimes pressing remote buttons does nothing at all. 6. I want to go somewhere in TV screen, press the remote buttons for it but the TV lands me somewhere else. 7. Navigation between menus is not user friendly and it is confusing. 8. Not so great sound. Pros : 70" TV for the low prize. I'm returning it. Here comes the standard reply from Samsung!

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU6980 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV is turning itself on and off repeatedly.
Please try a few trouble-shooting steps that may help solve the issue:
1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.
2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.
3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service.

The Auto Syncing of your devices remote can be annoying but is easy to turn off. It could be an okay feature if you don’t have multiple devices that are the same. I have 2 xboxes so when I would go to the input it would turn both of them on.

My 5 years old TV response was much faster. You press a button and can make a copy of coffees while TV is still responding.

I bought it to replace a 12 year old Samsung 46 inch Smart TV. It is much Smarter than the old one. Built in WiFi and Bluetooth are very useful. 4k content looks great.

I have my soundbar set up with Bluetooth connection. Only thing lacking on this model is enough HDMI ports 2 is not enough.

You need a certain kind of screw in order to mount the TV. I think it was an M8 screw then, the one they recommend is to long. So you have to jerry rig it in order to get it up there. Very cumbersome!

It occasionally lags our or stops responding, but quickly catches up. The picture controls could be a bit more customizable and easier to navigate. Overall, a good purchase.
