Exactly what I wanted and expected. I’m coming from a small 39inch old tv so this is a huge upgrade to me, I’m just upset the old red and white audio ports not on it to connect my surround sound but that’s ok I’ll upgrade that too

Bought this on Black Friday 2019 and paid $550. After a year I’m still impressed. You WILL need an SUV to bring this big guy home. The smart TV App Menu Guide could be better but not enough to bring it down to a 4 star review. BUY THIS TV!

Great value but terrible connectivity issues.

So I’ve had the tv now for about 2 weeks and while I’m pleased with the picture quality this tv does have its set backs. Samsung’s user interface is improved from some previous models (as it used to be horrendous) but it is still sluggish and unresponsive at times. My biggest issue with this tv is the fact that it does not work well (if at all) on 5Ghz WiFi. I know that this model is suppose to work on 5Ghz but that’s just not the case. It may work for a day but struggles to reconnect after it has experienced a power cycle. This is tremendously frustrating especially considering that it’s a smart tv that is suppose to replace other media devices like rokus, etc. It’s an okay tv at a great value but the connectivity issue is a major problem. That leads me to not recommend this tv unless your planning to use another streaming device with it.

      Josh:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV and for your review. I am very sorry that you are experiencing internet connection issues.

You may want to go through these steps to check your network connection:

      1) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m).

      2) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)

      3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem.

Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test

      4) Try a cold reboot of your TV by pressing and holding the power button for 5+ seconds until the TV turns off and on again.

      5) Please also be sure you have the latest firmware update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

    Garbage

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is a garbage TV. The "smart" apps are very slow and were outdated within a couple months of TV purchase. The picture quality is awful and requires manually setting all sorts of options to get a barely decent image, including having to go into a secret service menu to get rid of the stupid backlight dimming when the image is dark. HDR is an absolute joke - everything is either washed out or too dark to see. And there's no way to turn it off, so you're stuck with regular 1080p since most apps don't show 4K if you set your device to non-HDR. If you don't care about image quality, go for it - otherwise, look elsewhere.

    Do Not Buy Samsung

This tv randomly stopped working after 2.5 years. I used it maybe 3-4 times/week for a few hours. After searching online for a solution, I learned that this seems to be a very common issue with all Samsung televisions. I called Samsung, who had me plug/unplug the tv (as if I hadn’t tried that already) and when that didn’t work, they told me I needed to have a technician come out at an estimated cost of $380-400+ for labor alone. I have an LG, Insignia, and Vizio TV that have all lasted 10+ years with no problems whatsoever. I would not recommend Samsung despite their prior reputation.

After having this tv for less than a week: Pros: Nice size, clear picture, good sound quality. Cons: The home menu is insane. Tried to watch something on Disney+ & it kept looping to a movie on the Samsung App. I Set up an account with Samsung in hopes of being able to download the other apps-it did not work. I spent a lot of time researching how to use the basic functions of this tv. I ended up plugging in the firestick. The stand looks flimsy. Only time will tell if I will have to replace the stand.

Received this TV as a gift, refresh rate sucks as the picture gets choppy when watching any action type of movie. I have three other Samsung TVs and this is by far the worst. The color is not that good and is not as good as the 55 inch Hitachi Plasma TV I have had for over ten years and the sound has no bass and with only two HDMI inputs you cant have Cable, Surround Sound, Blu-Ray player and a sound bar to supplement the tiny Samsung speakers.

Was not happy at all with the picture quality , I was constantly trying to adjust the picture with settings everytime I went from a DVD back to TV or to Roku. I'm very surprised at the High review on this Samsung is usually the leader in Brands but this particular model was made just for "Bestbuy" so I'm not sure if they cut a bunch of corners but I'm returning today and getting the 65inch LG. Bigger is not always better unless your willing to shell out the cash! *2 HDMI in back *Flimsy Legs to hold TV up *Crappy picture quality

Don't buy this TV. Samsung has been a nigh mare to deal with. TV was fine for 15 months and then a large shadow appeared in middle of screen. Called samsung for 5 days in a row where they have given me the run around on every call. They said a repair person would come out and look at TV but when i sent them picture of screen repair center said TV cannot be fixed. Samsung said they will help in getting new TV but cant until repair person looks at TV. Repair company from Samsung refuses to come out because they say it cant be fixed.
